basically USA sided with the Kaiserreich in WWI due to various reasons, Britain and France get torn up in the Treaty of Paris (much like OTL's treaty of Versailles), so fascists take over in very Hitler-style fashion.

Germany slowly becomes more democratic at the urging of its new best friend, the USA.
