WAR ERUPTS AGAIN IN THE WORLD

Aight, just a heads up, do not have Japan pull a surprise attack upon America, as that will definitely be a wrench in your plans for Antarctic domination. Also, be weary of Italy’s allegiance, as if they lose Naples, they will switch sides. Also, be weary of what Germany is doing, as what we know what they did is royally not cool.

At least we have a tiny - comparatively tiny - Senate to balance things out. But now you're having 500 in the Senate too. I'm not sure how you'll be able to function."

"I'm not entirely sure if it was Oswain that did that braindead 'don't say gay' bill or whatever, or if it was some other state -Athery, maybe? But if it's the former, I must wonder what legs that mother has to stand on, suing a government that institutionally discriminates against queer people for discriminating against her queer child. That'd be like some guy taking the Government of South Africa to court for racism."

"Wait. So, you have a standardised exam for postgraduates. And you have nearly two-thirds of a million taking this. How inflated must your degrees be? Nacrad only has about that many undergrads yearly, and even then we're having an overabundance of overqualified people."

(The number of people who manage to secure a seat in a study field in any of the Persian universities is like less than 25,000 at the highest across all fields. A lot of people come to take the exams mostly because if they manage to pass it might postpone their draft deployment by 2-3 years.)

On one hand, that is an extremely bloated legislature, on the other hand your population is so absurdly large that it's still one million constituents for every representative and two million for every senator, which somehow means the legislature isn't large enough, which frankly terrifies me more than it should."

Persian authorities begin transfer of 'up to 300,000' Arabs from Syria to predesignated camps in Kavir and Lut, begin repopulation of Raqqa by Persians, Kurds and Assyrians

"Nope. Nope. Nope. "Transfer" is a just a euphemism for ethnic cleansing. They're cleansing Arabs just for fun at this point." - A Cosmician Press Agency journalist

Cosmician govenment bans letter "Z"

The government of Cosmicium has banned the letter "Z" due to its potential affiliation with Imperial Military Group Z, the most successful of the
Cosmician fleets, just a few months ago defeating the Coreward Armada of an unspecified rebel faction single-handedly. Some government officials
became jealous at such success, and moved to ban the letter "Z" so its success could never be spoken of again.

The new law does not provide for any penalties for continued usage of the letter "Z", but the legislators believe they will have penalties sorted
out soon. The Imperial Senate reportedly all fainted from the insanity of the proposal, allowing the ban to be signed into law without even a vote
from the Senate. The Emperor said that the law will be vetoed as soon as possible.

Yes, this is a parody of the ludicrous idea to ban the letter Z (and V too!) by certain Western governments.

"You know, if there's one thing the Catholics did right it'd be the part where they forbade their clergy from marrying. Sure, it ended up opening the way to nepotism as a concept, and sure most other Christians just said fuck that and moved on, but it was -and continues to be- a seriously good idea. As a result, I can't help but cringe a little at the sight of learning a cleric just married an engineer and it somehow made the headlines. That's not a path you want to allow your clergy to journey."

"I see that every place has to deal with martial law, be it Gendarmerie or simply the United Nations GDI. It's pretty sad that we've come to accepting martial law as basically normal, when back in the '50s we've never had any real reason to declare martial law. Ah well, at least it's just the Gendarmerie and not, say, the UNISA."

Laguna Woods Shooting Sheds Light on Gun Control - Opinion

"Somehow, I find the use of gun control laws to prevent future shooting incidents to be quite inefficient, maybe because potential criminals would be smuggling firearms from outside of town, and they may be keeping their guns away from any other people's eyes as well as trying their best to not act suspicious. But as other cases have shown, what they're hiding will be revealed to the public."
