So it appears that in this universe, Australia and the Philippines are at war with each other, which to be honest is more interesting of how that happened than anything else. In either case, why is a soldier dying during a war worthy of news? Unless it was a civilian, in which case, why would a civilian visit a country that their nation is fighting against in war without the intention of defecting. In either case, there seems to be unrest between the two nations which I hope gets resolved soon

Over 1,600 Freelandians tried to flee Freelandia in the past week. 700 of them were successful in their attempt to flee, but their families were sent to labour camps. Most of the remainder were blown up by landmines, killed by the Freedom Patrol (police conscripts) or killed in an other number of ways, but those who did survive but didn't escape were napalmed without trail.
