Orlesia is a massive country, covering an area of 2.7 million km² with an equally huge population of over 426 million people. The state is unashamedly autocratic and seems to operate as an absolute hereditary monarchy. Despite officially being a commonwealth and having some superficial similarities to a federal state, the administration of Orlesia is actually strikingly centralized. The country is also very militarized, with the army consuming nearly 25% of the Federal Budget.

But the disagreements between parties in the Transitional Republican Committee over new constitution soon lead to the Aidiran Civil War, in which moderate republicans won and 45,000 people were killed.

In 2008 an all out brawl occurred between legislators took place in parliament known as the “battle of legislators” when a simple misunderstanding of economic reforms by the Social Democratic Party got out of hand from opposition leaders thinking they were trying to bring back communism.

You are correct in imagining actual kangaroos (well at least our antlered variety) being used to help carry around supplies and patrol around.

Apparently there is bad blood between the Americans and the Brazilians in their timeline, as both nations had designs to be the dominant realm in that hemisphere but only one truly ascended. My guess would be that the Brazilians likely have a mindset similar to how some Argentinians feel about the Falklands.

Lechia despite its seemingly terrifying exterior, has a rather sensible approach to festering corruption and domestic sabotage. Which is to say the Lechitic government condemns folks who commit such heinous acts with death.

It's an absolute monarchy whose monarch has been relegated to a ceremonial role and they employ powerful psychics as part of their military.

Hiyoko is a highly militarized society, run by the All-Valkryie's Government, they have instilled a puppet Monarchy, with the Royal family as figureheads. The actual business is run by the Valkyrie Council. The sheer fact that they have 'puppets' in charge and a sort of 'shadow council' doing the actual work is intriguing, and there's plenty of more information available within both their factbook, and their dispatches.

One thing I enjoyed reading about in particular is the Sledgehammers, the Valkyries themselves. Psychic warriors that are capable of inflicting immeasurable amounts of destruction on the poor saps that Hiyoko considers its enemies. What is even more impressive is how versatile the Valkyries are, not only are they the military force of the nation, they also are in charge of law enforcement, and run their own separate businesses here and there.

Mind you, this is just a brief summary, but the factbook itself is very well designed, it's most certainly worth a read.

The Orlesian military spends ₣4.24 trillion per year, which is roughly one-fourth of Orlesia's entire state budget. It is split into a Ground Force, a Navy, an Air Force, and a 'Solar Investigation Force', the smallest and newest branch of the force. Put together, the military has 2.5 million active personnel and 1.5 reservists, and an unclear percentage of the military is built up of conscripts -as the state has a draft for every citizen of 17 years of age.

Perhaps due to the lead poisoning from lax environmental laws 'Pre-War' San Andreas was a politically divisive place of conservatives, liberals, and apathetic voters taken to an ideological extreme. To a point where places like Texas and France seemed to be better options than a state often described as one of the most "diverse" in the world. It can be assumed then that elections would be surprisingly divisive, with pißwasser-drinking rednecks, dyed-haired college students, and white middle-class moms becoming major voting blocks for their respective types of politicians (Racists, racists but healthcare, racists but cheap gas respectively). Meanwhile, other groups (inner-city minorities, the fabled 'working-class white', and those more literate than a 5th grader (equally mythological in that state)) are left either to hope the least-shit option gets elected, evacuate from the state, or decide "they can't change the system - so why not manipulate it"?

If there was ever a state that needed a nuclear war or jihad, it would be that one.

They are Basically an unstable Post Soviet State Israel in Siberia created by Stalin who sent millions of people to walk across the entire country to get there during the course of World War two. Very Strange Mr Stalin.

What used to be Texas is now split into 7 independent states controlled by the “Warlords of Dixie” As well as some areas under the control of the confederacy and The “Stalinist rebel militia” I assume these states are a result of the ongoing second Texas civil war

Their PT variant had chain restaurants in the 14th century. That's actually pretty terrifying, as it implies they have a civilian logistical infrastructure capable of supporting such an enterprise even at that point.

Any state, no matter their tech level. That's going after them is almost immediately dead from the start. Both Tribal Military Forces & Sojun's Caleshan fight as if there is no tomorrow and that's because they do treat like a life or situation for their nation's existence.

Patricija, someone of authority within the nation, is of the belief that nukes do not constitute a 'magic bullet', and that the other side will most likely retaliate for their use with their own WMDs. Apparently, this is an idea only espoused by 'ninnies' so they don't urinate in their beds. They also have jets with technology either taken from, sold to or given from the Reich of the New World Order.
