Interestingly the people of NIU don’t have roads. The people prefer to ride snowmobiles instead of regular cars, because of this there aren’t any traffic laws. Though despite not having any roads the country’s infrastructure has greatly improved since the People’s Socialist Party was elected

They have very complex language/languages.

I have learned that, in their timeline, the events of 1848-1851 in Cuba went the way of the US instead of reality, leading to the strange idea of Cuba being united with any part of the States.

The first nation to have the name Felchah was the kingdom of Felchah which was formed in by unification of various different groups of people. They expanded by taking over other places that attacked them for some time, taking the territory that is now the southern sea coast of Sarder Nat.

That the official language of NIU is North Polean, which I assume is creolised Norse (or rather 14th/15th century middle Norwegian as it had become by then) with a probably quite heavy substrate from early Kalaallisut. I have to admit that this tickles my mind a bit, as it would probably be a very cool language.

The Caara was probably one of the first scripts used by the Kuer people to write in -hence its alternative name being 'the Kuer runes'-, and ages back to the first century BC, and though the Caara was still in use for centuries after, it would be completely replaced by the Latin script around 1200 AD, though it's seen a resurgence as a point of nationalism in the 20th century.
