Somehow, a Civil Transition war that led 2.5 million soldiers dying and 4 million of the overall population facing a similar fate and lasted an entire year ended up making the economy of Makko Oko stronger.

I'm grateful for the interest, but I'd point out that there was no second Mexican-American War in GBK's world. The idea is that the US might have waged war again if they had only lost to Mexico, but being faced with both Mexico and GBK dissuaded them.

Caligulas Legion seems to be a rival of the New San Andreas Republic, two societies that have arisen in a post-apocalyptic, post-nuclear American landscape. The Caligulas consider ancient Rome—with all its imperialism, chauvinism, and sexism—the best model for civilization, and they consider democratically voted for tax increases more frightening then putting people's heads on pikes.

I'm curious about the bull theme/mascot. I would have expected a Rome-inspired people to use wolves as their aesthetic. (There does seem to be an anthropomorphic representation of Caligulas Legion wear a wolf-hood costume.)

Despite conservative Euro-skepticism being recently on the rise, several European nations' governments have completely transformed to participate in a new communist/socialist Internationale, including the French Commune and Socialist Republic of Italy.

In Arvemeduzh, there are no laws or police forces, instead having all policing falling to the military. Now, you may wonder, how exactly is anybody punished then? Well, there is technically speaking a single law, which I would consider to be the nation's Constitution more than anything, known as the Urmazagi Code Of Honor, in which there are over 30 articles and punishments, well that can vary by the punisher, from a simple lashing to a flat out execution. It's quite a lawless society, and therefore crime rates are most likely high.

From 2018 to 2019, Makko Oko experienced a revolutionary civil war due to the nation's high poverty levels. After reaching a stalemate, a deal was made, transforming the presidential government into an authoritarian leftist dictatorship.

Hatsunia has a national anthem which can be thought of as a theme song to an anime movie or series. Additionally, Hatsunia is Japan but much more futuristic, with the entire world also being inverted, with Hatsunia being Japan, it joined the allies instead of the axis in World War 2 against an axis version of China. Surprisingly, Hatsunia existed in BCE, and was not incepted in the modern age of AD.

Finally, unlike Japan, Hatsunia is a unitary form of government, meaning no local governments, police forces or provinces, all power is consolidated into the national government and its agencies.

There are four classes of crimes in Makko Oro: Minimum crimes (Relatively harmless crimes, such as farting) Severe crimes (more significant crimes Such as using a VPN to violate internet restrictions) Serious crimes (Really bad stuff, such as murder) and Security crimes (Crimes that effect the government, such as treason).
However, the government has the right to try a crime in whatever catagory they see fit, and/or modify the punishments as they please. Normally only A&B can have the death penalty, but this restriction too can be overcame if given the emperor's or IEC's permission.

Trivega is in effect a two-party state, with the two largest parties -respectively the conservative Fairplay party and the progressive Progress party- holding two out of every three seats in the Senate and approximately half of the Parliament.

There are a lot of terms describing their government system that aren’t used in our timeline. Congress is ‘Parliament’, States are ‘Provinces’, and they even have a king, though I’m not sure what the king’s powers are.

While the Servants of the Will eschew technology, their extensive scientific knowledge of the universe allows them to perform feats such as surviving on the ocean floor or in the atmosphere of a gas giant, or ignoring the relativistic effects of dense compact stars and black holes.

They live in large megastructural arcologies made of soulstone, low-tech (with some supernatural) but on a large scale.

Hatsunia is a leading pioneer in the field of space exploration and travel, not only dispatching probes and landers throughout the Solar System, but also establishing a significant extraterrestrial human presence, including space hotels and permanent lunar bases.

Socialist theorist Majdi el-Yousif coined the term "Universal Commonwealth" as an ideal association of all peoples. People started using the term as a name for a future socialist society. After the Atlantean Revolution which successfully established a socialist state in the North Atlantean continent (around today North America), the newly created entity was named the Universal Commonwealth.

There is a national holiday whenever a lunar or solar eclipse transpires. I presume this only counts the ones that are actually visible to them, elsewise there'd be a lot of confusion.

This is an eastern European nation, unsurprisingly a former Soviet Republic, and is sandwiched between Latvia and Belarus. Small and landlocked, but seems to be the best performing nation in the region

[Continental Free States]

The Spib intervened in favor of Morocco in an ongoing war with Algeria. The whole debacle started when Algeria attacked to take over Moroccan Western Sahara (rightfully, since it's under Moroccan occupation) and the Spib decided they didn't like that one bit.

In their universe, statist Russia (part of an Axis-equivalent faction) attacked Alaska in 1939 and the American Empire dropped an atomic bomb on Vladivostok in 1946. The subsequent Cold War was also quadropolar.

In Hatsunia's timeline, the Lost Decades never happened, and as such Japan actually achieved its image of being in the future, instead of stagnating. This made Japan a fairly powerful country, leading to a man on Mars by 2016.

They are an island nation near the Saint George's channel and are a Crown Dependency of the United Kingdom. They also share a 150 meter wide maritime border with them. Mining and fishing used to be the primary industries but now agriculture, oil and gas, tourism, and financial services are. Their indigenous culture still remains strong.

The Norse Inuit Union is a rather large nation in the Arctic region, and, as expected, it doesn't have too large of a population.
