I've got you. So this nation is literally America in another dimension, with World War 2 having America's participation, but not after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, after the invasion of Alaska by Russia, so Pearl Harbor never happened in this dimension. Additionally, America is a Constitutional Monarchy in this dimension, having an Emperor and a President. The Emperor can remove Supreme Court justices, the President himself, and many other public officials with parliamentary approval.

Unlike the US Constitution, this other dimension America, has an article within its constitution that helps protect the government and the public from issues of national significance such as abortion:

Additionally, the Emperor of this America is limited much like the RL UK monarch is, except oddly enough, it's Constitution establishes an article that states a "national hereditary law" is to exist and to define heirs to the throne of the Emperor, and that is odd, because why can't the Constitution establish it itself, as well, if the Constitution states this, and it is not established, then the government is illegitimate against its own founding document.

The Emperor's constitutional powers are hereditary through direct, natural, and legitimate descent by order of primogeniture.

That descendant shall be deprived of his rights to the crown who marries against the consent of the Emperor or the Parliament, but may also be reinstituted by the same in the event of agreement on the part of both chambers of the Parliament.

In the absence of a valid heir, the Emperor may elect a successor, with the approval of both of the Chambers of the Parliament.

In case of a vacancy of the throne, the Parliament or the Federal Council may enthrone a new Emperor

Detailed regulations shall be proscribed by national inheritance law.

Finally, the Emperor is limited in powers, but by the Constitution, can essentially do whatever they want, as long as they have the signature of the Federal Council (the Parliament) and if they refuse, they can dissolve the Parliament and do it anyways, which would be an abuse, but not against the Constitution:

A long time ago, extremely powerful and extremely advanced race named the An'Kazar ruled the galaxy. One of them, Samma, who was a minor planetary ruler, spent most of his time studying the fabric of reality. He also knew that he could manipulate this, but he didn't know how to accomplish it until he went far away from any civilization and turned a blue cup into red with extreme concentration. Meadowfields City is the capital of Meadowfields with a total population of 42 million people. They seem to be pretty chill town with average temperature of 1°C.

After the social democratic party won the election in 2008, members of the opposing democratic and grogress parties spread heresay about the party's politices being a slippery slope for communism. Think about it in a historical manner, the population wasn't anywhere near what it is now, it was like maybe 20 or 30 million back then. /skipme

America in AN's alternate universe is much more anti-European, belligerent opposing what it sees as "imperialist" influence wherever it can be seen. This especially manifested in how it chose to help several European colonial holdings in Southeast Asia gain independence.

At one point, they also nuked Vladivostok which is uhh... Unnerving to say the least. Ultimately it seems this America is much more interventionist and seeks to separate itself from European interests as opposed to our universe where America shares them.
