An interesting view they hold is that weakness is the ideal state and that the strong should...be gone. It's interesting, it raises the question of where does strong and weak begin? Is it a never ending spectrum> surely there's the strong amongst the weak?

[The Caleshan Valkyrie]

Their culture has a great deal of military influences, as the vast majority of their crowning achievements are based in warfare. This is relatively typical, as warfare tends to drive innovation in a wide variety of areas.

Reading up on the domestic sociological trends of the Caleshan, it turns out that each tribe raises the children as a collective endeavor to promote impartial meritocracy, which is pretty neat! There is no structured caste system, which is impressive even for a nomadic society, and it's fairly common to marry outside the tribe. Polygamy is common, not that it makes a huge difference to begin with since marriage is a legislatively unimportant prospect for the Caleshan anyways. Agrarian ideals as a whole are rewarded, and most people choose to retire to a life in the fields, which I find reminiscent of the kibbutz model.

This is among one of the most unique 'nations' on NS, primarily due to the fact that it isn't a nation. I always look forward to reading stuff from non-nations on NS. Anyway, back to the topic at hand. The lore for Wondermart isn't done through factbooks, rather there it's done through a website linked in the sole factbook that the nation has. Wondermart seems to be a rather interesting form of supermarket chain, though its usage of city markets and hypermarkets. It was founded by a man named Willy Mann in 1956. It seems to pride itself on delivering low prices combined with excellent service. It seems pretty genuine in its goals and doesn't seem particularly shady. Overall, it's a pretty unique concept for NS and is interesting to look into its lore.

The nation values education very dearly, as seen by the expansive social safety net provided to undergraduate students: they are granted free housing for the duration of their undergrad studies, and a grant for living and course-related expenses. All education is also completely free, including post-graduate tertiary courses. Presumably, this high focus on students comes related to the country's economic union, the Caribbean Economic Union, although I didn't see anything about that.

In Leskya, the graflandoj are typically the highest level of coordinated inter-communal organisation in Leskya, with the exception of the General Council, created voluntarily across geographically unified areas to address issues deemed tuttera, which in English according to the factbook means all-land. Also due to the voluntary and nomadic nature of Leskyan institutions it makes permanent and explicit borders.

Their motto in Arabic means "Do good and good comes to you" which is a motto based on the Golden Rule of some Eastern religions and while Islam is the majority religion of this country, it is still an interesting feat to see something coming from a non-Abrahamic religion come into the political vocabulary of a Kuwaiti Federation.

However, on July 13, 1972, the same group corralled people into the town square with blockades, gas leaks, et cetera. The group then opened fire on the innocent people, the worst massacre Gonswanza has ever seen. The perpetrators were later captured, put on trial, and sentenced with hard labor for life. After numerous protests, the sentences of the perpetrators was changed from hard labor for life to the death penalty.

America still rebelled against British rule yet Britain came off worse initially, evacuating its troops in 1776 rather than attempt to put it down due to Britannia being weakened in the long war. It seems however they came off better in the end compared to real history as New England was retaken in 1784 yet Virginia remained independant.

Empress Alicia apparently has a surname despite being a noble; granted we don't know much about their naming conventions. One of the more unusual things about their system is that they apparently let a diagnosed "sociopath" who apparently still cares about things other than herself, her nation (though it could be argued that Alicia views the Empire as an extension of her being and wants it's citizens and companies to be well-off and competitive) in this case, take the helm. Granted, being manipulative is a plus in factional politics.

Sociopaths do have a sense of morality and complex beliefs, they are not psychopaths who may lack such things.
The diagnosis was also suppressed, I do believe I said this in a no longer existent factbook in all fairness.

This removes the need for coercion and fosters group cohesion by creating an environment in which every citizen is happy with his role in the collective.

The Horde of One is more akin to a Church than an actual nation or even a horde; membership of the horde is defined by the worship of "the One who Speaks", whose granting of some sense of truth to his worshippers - Loo'dor/Kitri - grants him the right to rule over the mass and who commands his followers to proselytise and destroy all that refuse to submit. Further, this 'Church' seems to have been a unifier of some sorts, with talks of separated paths being united once the One who Speaks arrived.

This is kind of weird since the concept of work in its traditional meaning has been abolished, however, individuals that perform this kind of work do not receive wage but instead receive favor within the structure of the gift economy. Its more thought of as a collective gift to participating communities, and individuals who do this work can expect a returning gift from that particular community.

While it has its origins in a Pan-Islamic movement by the Emir Salih Khaliq, it suprisingly does not go down the "allah akbar, xddd" route similar nations would have taken. It borders Israel - so at the very least - it acknowledges its existence as an entity. Also, it has accepted non-Arab Muslims into high ranking positions. With the President himself being (presumably) sub-Saharan African in origin - likely being a second generation immigrant. While today it is no longer the pan-Islamic nation of old, it is still an interesting take on the whole "Big Middle Eastern nation" idea.
