They are a marauding mutant army that inhabits basically all of the Post-War DC region, crushing other factions in the region.

There is a holiday folk figure that is a sort of pseudo Krampus. He is a fat hog that stands on two legs, has fiery eyes, and wears a red and white coat. He steals the presents of the children that were naughty that year. If seen on the first night of the holidays, he'll have a cheery demeanor. If seen on the second night, things turn way more grim and dark if you don't have a traditional offering of apple cake.

I've learnt that there's a bbcode formating error where the map location of their nation is supposed to be, in regards to their national overview.

So the leaders of the nation Sylvia and Julienne adopted a "demon" though this demon doesn't act like one but has a considerable amount of magical power. Apparently likes fashion and sweets due to those being the interests of the 2 leaders. Currently lives in the 2 leader's house.

Also Aurelia Beatrice Dellamorte, she may or may not be alive and is the ancestor of the 2 leaders and due to her "furniture" The Seven Sisters of Purgatory her household sounds like a complete mess of constant infighting.

Sherechians are apparently a highly militarised nation and value soldierly virtues much harder than most people have in real life: an exact 5% of the GDP goes to military spending, and while there is no conscription, the armed forces has an active personnel of 620,000 (that is to say, only slightly more than 1% of the entire population) while 5.5 million (more than 10%) serve in militias -as reservists, presumably. Must be noted that the Militia is significantly better armed than the army if quantity has a quality of its own.

The Kingdom of Frisia was involved in a historical event known as the German Revolutionary Wars. A zealous German Federation was born out of the flames of war when Bourbon France thought it wise to gobble up some territory from the Holy Roman Empire, falsely believing that the German pettiness would render them blind to the Frankish encroachment. The Germans united together, as people may do when threatened by a common enemy, France had a bad time and so the other European great powers decided to support France out of bias against Germany.

The Germans had a period of great advances, winning victory after victory against the multi-national alliance, eventually taking over and occupying the Kingdom of Frisia, which is situated in the marshlands where the Netherlands in our universe exists. The German Army, led by Not-Napoleon and a handful of other competent generals, sneakily evaded detection through the Alps and began a new front in what I'd presume had to be the Alpes-Cote-D'Azur province in the southeast of France which borders Italy. This proved to be a decisive move, attacking from a direction that I presumed lacked a lot of organized resistance, resulting in the capitulation of France. The First Coalition sue for a white peace after getting their asses handed to them, and the Germans had their way with reconstructing the government of France into a democratic, relatively liberal confederation of French states.

This nation is located near Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Philippines, has English, Japanese and Russian as official languages and had a civil war going on from 1953 to 1957.

In 2018, at the Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, Waisnor won 2 medals (one gold and one silver).

Lechia's national bank is, like other shithole economies, not connected to the global economy and instead controlled by state authorities. Actually surprising how they even have an economy to fight Germany in a war tbh, though if Germany was somehow "economically mutilated" without something like WWI or WWII happening beforehands, anything is possible.

The '48-er Revolutions had resulted in the re-establishment of Ruthenia, Transylvania, Courland, Estonia, Livonia, Prussia and Poland. It also spread representative democracy across Europe. Overall, it seems that the revolutions were far more successful in this universe than our own.

The nation of Stephaniesland is named after its founder and current Supreme Director Stephanie Claire Cordato.

It feels weird for countries founded in the modern era to be named after its founder.

So it turns out, the private police sector in the Isles have developed a significant corruption problem in addition to increased cases of brutality over time. Captain O. Pius, an especially brutal municipal officer has become notorious for his borderline authoritarian actions, which come with all the obsessive tendencies associated with such a person, including self-aggrandizing terms of address and frequent attempts by the public to take his life.

The Convallaria Republic have a government document, published by the Department of Infectious Disease & Epidemiology, their nation's equivalence to the CDC. The five-page (In-Character) document is dedicated to the identification and procedures (National Crisis Retaliation Outline) detailing the correct measures to respond to the global crisis of a viral infection capable of reanimating corpses and cadavers (Called Paramyxovirus).

Their measures are abstractly outlined by the document to follow legal expectations, guaranteeing the dignity of the dead, and are respected in accordance with religious values. I find it commendable they'd go to such lengths to respect the dead, but I'd imagine that in practice, these bureaucratic regulations would sometimes be ignored by the frontline service personnel in favour of much simpler and conventional protocols; considering the real-time threat that the dead would pose to the emergency workers.

Their favourite, nationally-renowned dish is kimchi rice, and around 60% of any given meal is made up of vegetables, fruit or other leafy greens. (The variety of meat available is also pretty large.)
I do wonder how this came to be - maybe as a consequence of low-lying flatlands on the main island?

Short overview of their history, melting permafrost unlocked a virus and its spread to everyone, so scientists tried to find a cure but ended up creating some weird species which learnt from books and the internet, most humans died from the virus. Some managed to survive presumably due to a cure being made and now the Latices rule over humans.

However for those who survive this new world, while arguably authoritarian is actually beneficial for both humans and latices. So it's not all bad.

When talking about non-integers, Sherechian language pretty much reads what it writes: 0.01 doesn't become, say, one-hundredth but Gai ki gai an [Zero-point-zero-one] which is certainly an interesting way to do it.

According to that constitution and the legal system it creates, legislature is performed by a bicameral Parliament with both of its chambers being fully-elected in, respectively, a single nationwide constituency for the Chamber of Deputies and ten senators per every one of the three states for the Senate. Prior to 1902, the Senate's members were appointed by the monarch. Prior to 1837, the monarch was both Head of State and Head of Government.

Before and during the age of Revolutions, most urban workers had a low quality of life with highly un-regulated and exploitative work-shifts and they had a poor nutrition as well, with most of their food being carbs and more carbs but little else. The same could be said of rural peasants and both groups suffered extesively whenever crop failures failed to produce expected yields, leading to skyrocketing prices and deeper unemployment. Initially, these groups were apathetic to the abstract world of ideologies, or even their practical promises, as they predictably were preoccupied with getting by.

The craft was bracketed by anti-air guns and it's crew heard heavy clanging and pinging outside their craft, unnerving them despite the relative harmlessness of the ordnance.

Really reminds me of the RL Battle of Los Angeles incident!

funnily enough, it seems that such human constructs as "institutes" and "family structures" translate over into eldritch cross-dimensional egalitarian post-scarcity god-societies, as good ol' yan here had the opportunity to be educated in one of the former and raised in one of the latter. this, implying a certain degree of value for individual life, coupled with the fact that she went on to lead a campaign that claimed literally billions of souls, implies a callousness on her part i find rather terrifying to consider- though for someone who has very little moral concern playing at god, this is indeed to be expected.

Right, starting things off, I'll be reading the Berghis. Formed by a confederation(?) of a bunch of absolute monarchies, and focusing on their religion, they worship a quartet of deities, as well as two divine pairs which comprise of a god and goddess. Related to that, every time a new Lord-Berghi is assumed into the throne, they are expected to accept the fact that they're basically, quote, 'descending from divine'. Including forgoing expensive foods and clothes during a famine and a ritual cutting should a crushing defeat strike. Overall, I'm interested in seeing what other crazy shenanigans the Berghis can do.

A rather intriguing alt-history. Have never seen an alt-history about the Spanish-American War before. So it seems the US decided to annex the entire Spanish Empire, rather than just their colonies. It also seems that Spain has prospered under US rule and is a full-fledged state. WWI seems to have started over American influence in Europe, I'm sure President Monroe would be quite disappointed in this alternate US. Anyway, the US, UK and Russia were able to beat the French, Germans and Austro-Hungarians.

Their leading political party (or at least the party of the Head of Government) is... deeply eclectic and strange. The Imperial Party is a "moderate" leftist faction composed of monarchists, nationalists, and religious zealots that espouses jingoism, complete centralization of power in the Supreme Director, planned economics, and favors cult activities. It also supposedly has a libertarian facade while it has the establishment of some level of surveillance state on its agenda, but I think a good half of the stuff in its description kind of contradicts that facade anyway.
