 BREAKING NEWS: GOVERNOR BRANDON VELSBAD OF YAVALIN IMPEACHED. The Yavalinian Republic House passed seven articles of impeachment against the governor for corruption after a long-running dispute between the republics of Yavalin and North Benton regarding an illegal land reclamation effort. Velsbad approved of the reclamation effort in an attempt to build a new city to accomodate the republic's rapid population growth, thought it was determined to be out of Yavalin's jurisdiction by the Federal Supreme Court. The governor paid off local politicians in an attempt to cover up his actions and threatened the use of the national guard. The articles will be passed to the Republic Senate, where they expect a conviction that will result in the removal of Velsbad.
