"The nation of Baizou. Now, my opinion of them can be divided into two parts: Their government and their country, as the two seem to be somewhat separate.

The Government of Baizou is, unfortunately, something I cannot respect. Social Democracies and other such ideologies only treat symptoms of their perceived 'issues' rather than digging at the root causes. Similarly, its form of republicanism lies too in-between for me. A government for the people should be for the people's liberty through the masses or the people's welfare through a strong fatherly leader. I do unfortunately see Baizou's current government has squirming around in the center when they should be striving for either or.

However, the nation of Baizou itself is quite decent. From my understanding, they appear to follow a form of culture not too dissimilar to that of the Japanese. In fact, their particular 'sect' -if you will- is leagues above the cartoonishly militaristic, authoritarian, or capitalistic nations I have seen. It's still unique from its motherland though. In fact, I find a kind of beauty in their magic*. Rather than using their magic to destroy their world and their enemies, or rejecting it altogether, they have found a balance between not blowing up everything and not returning to the caves of their primitive tribal ancestors. It's kind of charming in that sense."
