Not really. I mean, Manah might try to deceive them into doing something under the guise of friendship, but it probably wouldn't work. It... would not be good if it did work out though...

Due to Sven’s psionics I think that spending time around Manah would just be s u f f e r i n g for him emotionally. I think that while they won’t be friends per se he would still feel pity for her and even try to help her in his own way, even if that causes more harm than good.

Can't trust those goody two shoes, easy-going, laid-back type of leaders, the next thing they will do is accusing us of being the bourgeoisie and corrupted while they themselves lack the social graces to appear in the international stage. No, no... Definitely not the type Miroslavsky would want to be seen with.

Yeah, Sven would still not be friends with Al-Khelaifi, not only because Sven is generally disinterested in sports but also because Al-Khelaifi's bio reeks of suspicious activity that's hidden.

Between Sven and Miro iirc Zitravgrad mentioned something about Miroslavsky viewing Sven as strange, and honestly that is probably going to continue. Although for some reason I can see Miroslavsky training Sven in fencing as well as both of them trying to see who can sing lower.

BN please refrain from double-posting.

Sotorak is not a friend material, even to Miroslavsky who has a bunch of friends in military, police, and Zitravgradian new upper class. No, in fact, Miroslavsky is closer to the snakes Sotorak thinks occupies much of his nation's ruling class.

I think both Danielson and Novieni would be guarded around Sven. Danielson because Sven is a potential opponent due to being a left-wing militarist and Novieni due to Sven using violence to achieve political means.

I don't quite know what would happen, per se.

Ideologically- or, in other words, in terms of faces- Ari and Sven couldn't be more sundered. She is a devout woman, strong in faith just as in arms, and she views her Goddess as her foundation. When she has nothing else, she has Ejadrir's distant love to comfort her, and when she's alone that faith is the most reliable of companions. Sven, on the other hand, views faith in a God as antithesis to humanity's love for itself. Their positioning in two vastly different times means they share practically no common ground which they might bond on to get past that little hang-up, and when taken in consideration along with Ari's outward hostility and inability to engage openly with strangers, it seems like any reasonable human being in Sven's position might find himself giving up any attempt to befriend the Caller in short order.

But Sven isn't a reasonable human being. He's an empath. And that means that Ari's stony presentation is going to do practically nothing to dissuade him from realizing that her affected demeanor is in essence just that- a mask for years of dissatisfaction, depression, regret, self-loathing, and ill-handled pain. How is he going to react to that? I don't know, but from what I know of him I suspect there's a chance that he decides what he's dealing with isn't a misled primitive but rather someone in desperate need of help. If they met in a more neutral circumstance- say, the ambiguous, featureless void of F7, or, I don't know, a bloody school or something, where they're on the same footing and have more of a common ground, or if Ari had been born in a similar time as Sven- I'd imagine he'd consider her someone worth helping.

If Ari would accept that help, well... I'd similarly imagine that she'd reject his attempts at befriending her, at least at first. She's imbued with a strong desire to go it her own way and a perception that any emotion shown on her part, especially around strangers, is unbecoming of one of her station and indeed weakness for a supposedly cool-headed martial-exemplar, and she'd hesitate to accept Sven's help. But Ari is dissatisfied with that status quo, and if he stuck with it a little bit- maybe if he bought her teas every day or something- they'd find themselves becoming good friends. At least I hope.

...damn, I kind of want to write this now.

After an analysis about their personalities, it is concluded that the leader of what would be later called Wochaystein, someone called "Wip Xia", would not be friends with Ari because Wip is the leader of a settler's dominion. So. For Ari and Euphro, while I'd honestly like to think they could be friends- and, indeed, I think they'd both consider friendship something they'd want- I... well, I just don't think it's something that would ever really be likely to happen. It's just that, even ignoring their irreconcilably different religious beliefs, the core of their lives, and the values which guide them are just to different, and I feel like any reasonable level of understanding between them would be grounded more in their traumas than anything else, and while that certainly can be the foundation for a type of relationship, I don't think it'd be likely to ever truly develop some strange sort of self-recognition in each other. Overall, no, but not for lack of trying on both their parts.
For Ari and Lord Trokondas... I mean, as much as Trokondas might actually be very similar to the type of man Oloughin might've been, I feel like a few key differences would prevent any sort of respect or friendship from ever developing- given their past forum interactions, that just doubles my belief in the impossibility. At the same time... if Trokondas were younger- back during his more glorious days, when he was handsome, strong, and charismatic- I'm not actually sure how Ari'd react to him, and I'm honestly equally as uncertain as to how young Trokondas would've been to her.
Finally, for Ari and Bassaine... I feel like there's actually a pretty strong chance for an at least surface level friendship to occur. Certainly, it'd depend on how Ari reacts to Bassaine's more subtle manipulations and opportunism, but I think that- at a certain level, at least- Ari might not actually care one way or the other, as Bassaine's occasional sycophantism might actually be something Ari'd be susceptible to. Overall, I give them the best chance of 'friendship'.

For Wip Xia... Honestly, more info is required, but I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say that friendship is achievable. At the very least, a vague alliance should be possible with Lord Trokondas or Bassaine. Not so certain about Euphro, though...

Classroom 3-B's leaders are unfortunately pretty prickly... ^^;

Freddy's communist anti-monarchism means Lord Trokondas and Princess Euphrosyne are immediately starting on the wrong foot. And Trokondas's braggadocio and self-aggrandizement would rub Freddy wrong anyway. As for Euphrosyne, Freddy might pity her, but he's too impatient to take the time to cultivate friendship with someone he sees as "misguided." He'd lament "religion as the opium of the people" and the way Euphrosyne puts herself down because she thinks she's half-demon, but Freddy'd sooner try to convert her to the Proletarian cause than form a meaningful relationship.

Francine, as you might guess, is too misanthropic to be friends with either of them. She'd look down on Trokondas as weak-willed, an embarrassment to even know, and she's sneer at Euphrosyne for being pliable to the perceptions of others. If Francine were to hang out with either, her idea of a good time would be internally thinking about how much better she believes she is—that is, if she doesn't externally vocalize those very thoughts.

Jojo is the one opportunity for real friendship for Euphrosyne. Trokondas's personality would probably rub Jojo wrong the same as with Freddy. With Euphrosyne, Jojo would feel for her but unlike Freddy, who would write her off as misguided, Jojo would want to at least try to get to know her. It might be like what you thought would happen between Ari and Euphrosyne—they'd want to be friends, but I"m not sure if they'd be able to bridge the gap. But Jojo would still get along with Euphrosyne a lot better than Freddy or Francine would with Euphrosyne.

I can't see Sotorak cultivating a relationship with any of them, mostly because all of them are adolescents and would most likely find his rampant militarism rather morally reprehensible, to say the least.

Would YL be friends with AL? Stepanov would perhaps try to get closer to Quinn's side after meeting, but Quinn would likely become suspicious if she found out about Stepanov's past and how he rose to power in the first place. In the end, while they likely wouldn't completely hate each other, I don't really see them as anything other than loose friends or acquaintances.
