The USSA absorbed most of the former NCSA (New Confederate States Of America) and incorporated their flag subsequently. Citizens of Appalachia view it as a symbol of shared Southern identity that unites the core Appalachian territory with the recent addition of the outside Southern territories.

AN: How are you able to write such vivid and unique characters so different from one another and (presumably) your own life? I find it hard to write about anyone who isn't younger Oomiya, even though she's based on my own experiences, character, and ideals.

There wasn't really any requirements I wanted outside of having youthful appearance and either green or pink hair. They're not of the same character; in fact they're of at least four or five different ones. Although I might change her portrait to a single character such as Angel from Angle Beats!

As for why I like those VN: From my childhood I was always pressured into living and being the child my parents wanted: an obedient, pious towards family (sorry not sure how to translate this word?), diligent, ladylike, sociable, kind, etc...person who was successful in school, would go to an elite university, find a good job, and so on. I found the world of VN to be a change; where I could finally let myself explore what I had been neglecting, imagine myself in situations beyond doing schoolwork, going to club activities, and enduring cram sessions. So I think my favourite part of VN is they make me emotional and immerse me in a preferable alternative to reality.

First, you have to take note of something. Gankands' events happen in OOC time. If a roleplay session about a cold war between Gankands and another nation starts at the beginning of the cold war; and the roleplay starts at 12:00 PM of January 1st, 20XX; and the roleplay session ends at the end of the cold war at 3:00 PM of January 1st, 20XX. If the roleplay did not involve times or dates, then the cold war in Gankandsian history literally lasted three hours.

I didn't use the OOC time progression to begin with. I started writing the history with the most recent event in Gankandsian history. That was, OOC, its creation on NationStates. IC, the day the Gankandsian king was crowned. I then expanded on how that happened. I was writing the story backwards. Because I was writing the story backwards between two defined points, the most recent events were created first. I had intended to at some point flip the timeline around when I was finished with it. However, later on, I started using the OOC progression above because I found I didn't like the two static points. With that, It just became easier to have the most recent events first since I was adding more recent events than expanding on the middle and beginning of the timeline. Right now, I have no plan to flip the timeline to oldest events to newest events because I don't really have a variety of factbooks nor meat to give those factbooks even if I did create them. As a result, the two history factbooks are a catch-all for everything that isn't really significant like the Four-Points Treaty.

Not officially. The "the" that comes before Kingdom of Gankands is often the result of English itself.
