1. Red Alert 1, funnily enough, especially via OpenRA. C&C3 is a close second, though. 4 and Rivals never existed, do not ask on my opinion about those
2. I'll admit, it's contested between RA1, Company of Heroes, and maybe Hearts of Iron 4.
3. Both, because while, yes, I do have a fuckton of stuff already done for me (such as how the Latin Confederation came to be), I may have to rewrite quite a bit of what's already established (for example, in the original mod, the reason why the Allies invaded Tenerife in the first place was just to charge the Paradox Engine's batteries, while in FPR, it was more out of "we need ports"), or, hell, even come up with reasons as to why it happened like it did (the entire smokescreen situation I put in the overview factbook? yeah, that was my idea, apparently).
4. Pretty cool, actually. That being said, Renegade X (a modernized spiritual successor) exists, and it's free, so if you don't really feel like forking 20-ish euros for The Ultimate Collection, it's the closest thing.

Well, so in the Mental Omega mod for Red Alert 2 there is this faction called the Foehn Revolt that a lot of people think is kinda OP, and shouldn't have advanced tech like this, so I jokingly suggested that they got the advanced tech because of aliens. I then got a bit inspired by the book WorldWar where aliens invade during WW2 and I was like: "What if aliens invaded the Earth during the Mental Omega war." So I made this nation.

It didn't end in just a year, that's just the timeline of the attempted Insurrection of 2020-21. Racism itself gradually faded over the next two centuries as Americans embraced their values and united over their common nationality. Still didn't fully disappear for a long time.

1. A lot of your nations and characters seem to really like dolls. If I can remember S&J like dolls as well as Astellian Kingdom. Haniwa Japan is based on Haniwas but that's close? I'm sure there's lots more examples of nations and characters liking dolls.

Why does dolls come frequently as a theme in your nations? Do you like them or is interested in it as a hobby in RL or simply as a plot element?

2. Why did you suddenly get interested in that sad German song I sent to you? ^^

3. How do you react when people say that the Panzerkampfwagen VI is over-engineered and too expensive to produce? Do you say that you just like the aesthetics?

1. It's mainly because I find dolls to be interesting and, well, cute. I think one of my main reasonings why I like them is because I watched Rozen Maiden. Though, I also just really enjoy gothic lolita fashion and many of the doll collectors/makers I look at have them wearing similar styles of fashion.

2. Ah, well, I was thinking about putting it in my sig about Sylvia and Julienne missing Sakura, heh.

3. I mean, yeah, that would pretty much be my reaction. I understand where they're coming from. The tank isn't all that great. I just really enjoy the look of it. It's been one of my favorite tanks since I was a child. However, I get really irritated when people still attempt to ridicule me for something like that.

I don't have a whole lot planned for the 19th century. The 20th, and especially the 1950s, on the other hand... Between January 1958 and March 1959, the monarchy ends up being abolished and permanently replaced with a Helstur.
Genuinely the only inspiration to make it was Dinosaur Planet itself, because it's my favorite game of all time, though much of the history and culture were inspired by the Onoğurs, and a little bit of the English. Rare really didn't say much about the Wolven tribe besides their penchant for war and that they indeed are a kingdom whose king is Randorn, so I really didn't have much to stop me. Not actually a lot of Viking inspiration went into EW. Most of the Nordic influence really is just the language, because I love the sounds and looks of Norwegian and Icelandic.
For diet, I plan on going through typical foods that each species eats, the history of agriculture in the kingdoms, and a few recipes for traditional foods. On staffmaking, I plan on describing mostly the magical theory of making a staff, though will veer into the physical side of things with stuff like what woods are best for it and typical Wolvic ornamentation. The language should be very comprehensive, and if not able to be used as a living language, then at least demonstrate many Wolven cultural values, and give a good idea as to what you might hear there, with common phrases and words alongside phonolog and script.

Athearan designed helicopters are quite big for usual standards, and making them get close to a naval ship just to fire an early guided missile is a bit risky, as Anti Air technology has shown in my canon. Meanwhile the torpedo bombers are smaller than usual fighter aircraft, only needing one pilot to man at all times, low production cost, and is very effective. Plus, the torpedos are metal magnets, they have a mini scanner around them to see if there is any metal forwards of the tip of the torpedo.

If this explanation is weird, then sorry.

Considering that your nation is supposed to be in Central Asia, what caused the flag design to resemble that of a European monarchy (aside from the usage of Chinese characters)?

Ah, you must mean our coat of arms. The specific CoA in the flag represents that of the Jangpavalgan Dynasty, and is a compromise between the western-looking crests of the Patrician House of Paphlagon and the banner emblems of the Dukes of Zhang. Older Berhakli banners had more of an eastern design, but the pattern modernized during the 19th and 20th centuries and began to resemble western flags, as to "catch up with the world", if you will.

Reading your nation's history, I noticed a few anachronisms and it kind of reminded me of what I originally had in mind for my nation. How did protestantism and catholicism spread to what, in essence, looks like an alien archipelago inhabited by cultures foreign to our own?

I just like to + not everyone uses my IC flag when they respond to me in those threads, so it's always fun to see what stuff they come up with using my OOC flags. (Even if I usually know what the common responses will be. Like I'm obviously well-aware 90% of the responses using my current OOC flag will be anime jokes but whatever, it's all fun)

When I get questions that can easily be answered. Ahahahaaa...but seriously? I guess it's academic life just drying up and me not being able to return library books. It's dreary to look at updates over when or if the library will open and if I can register a return date, while also being slightly unnerving thinking about getting penalized, even if I probably won't. Call it a boring little dread. /SKIP

First of all, I've no idea why you thought Keira was an archipelago.  Although it has a few small archipelagos, its mainland sits on the "base" of a peninsula.

Secondly, the wiki is still very much a sketch. The way history is listed should've been an indication that it's a work in progress. I'm not sure what anachronisms you noticed, but they're either not anachronisms in my mind or stuff hasn't been sketched out properly yet.

You might've answered your own question had you dug a little deeper (by clicking on a few more links on the wiki). The cultures have "alien" names, because it's not an Earth copy and there's no reason to give names identical to real world. :p Most countries, cultures and languages on OGF are based on real ones. So, when it comes to Keira, Skarvian is OGF's name for Baltic, Yurelic for Uralic, Kalmish for German and Mergan for eastern German (think Germans in Baltics, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan before expulsion), etc.

Honestly, I haven't thought too much about how Christianity spread and developed. I just kind of assigned religion to ethnic groups based on what their closest IRL equivalents were. Since Finnic people and a good chunk of Latvians are Protestant, I simply made Keira's equivalents Protestant as well. Since Ostrians are Austrian-Pomeranian-Lithuanian, I made them Catholic. Ulinnians are Polish-Lithuanian, therefore also Catholic.

1. Berhakli history from the 17th century through the 20th has been one giant slog marred by invasions, unequal treaties and general imperialist treachery. We remember the pains of our past so that we may never allow the lions and vultures of the world repeat them.

2. Not that I know of, however, I tried to keep Berhakonia as close in-line to Afghanistan/Tajikistan if it were Orthodox and dominated by a Greco-Chinese ruling class and a mostly Iranian culture with heavy Turkic influences.

3. Not entirely sure as of rn, but quantum transportation, wormhole technology, nanorobotics and power armor aren't out of the question.

1. It's been formed for about 1500 years as of right now, 2021 on Earth. By the time EW is set 380 years from now, it will be coming up to its second millennium.
2. Yes.
It is a Norðøst Ulvensk-speaking country located mostly in the Østkanie alps. It is bordered to the west by the Kungrikk Norðuvestá Ulvene and to the south by the Kongeriget Syd-ulven and the Kongeriket Morgendugg. It forms the North Wolvic culture bloc with these countries.

3. It started off as a couple of independent tribes, grew into a kingdom, got absorbed in 1520, gained independence in 1611, and sort of just kept on doing its thing.
4.
