Yes and no, Aterno can be considered my puppet, even though I do not give it much attention as I do wish I do. It is a project of a co-principate between my state and Daunland, and the nation is canon as well, being that part of the territory of the state of New Veronika is situated in the middle of the co-principate.

That is a question that I don’t even have the full answer to. Both my parents are Ghanaian, but my mom’s mom has some Togolese ancestry and my mom’s dad was born in either Ghana or Mali (no one really knows), and his dad was definitely Malian. He’s also part Arab, from where, no one knows. My dad is on his dad’s side originally Northern Nigerian and Northern Ghanaian, and might have Arab ancestry. He also has some Latino ancestry from the Afro-Brazilians and Afro-Cubans who “returned” to West Africa. Fingers crossed somewhere in there is Desi and Persian, too.

Also, I don’t care much, because I know I’m hetero.

A) Just write what makes sense, really. Think about what a society needs and come up with a concept and go with that. If it's creative and you enjoy making it then as long as your notes are legible and complete I don't think you can go wrong. I'd be glad to talk more about it over tgs, though.

B) Just read a lot. I'm interested in doing some stuff with anthropology in college maybe, but at the moment I'm still getting through the last of my secondary school stuff.

ATI is supposed to be an AU version of Japan, which is a nation composed on islands, so I decided to go with that name. Of course, Japan isn't made up of a thousand islands, but the Empire of A Thousand Islands sounds better than the Empire of Four Islands. I originally wanted to name it Chitose, which means a thousand islands in Japanese, but the name was taken.

1) The Home Island is named Tohorin. Las Palmeras is literally "The Palms" in Spanish, a name gained by the ubicuos presence of palm trees in the island's coasts. Simple as.

2) Why not would be the better question? Though tbh, I really like playing with the duality of cute little munchkin-like creatures being every bit as ruthless as human societies at their worst and every bit as creative and innovative. Anime and manga, especially isekai, really do the beast-folk dirty. /SKIP ME
