What's the symbolism behind your nation's flag design? I actually do think the design is rather unique and striking and I'd quite like to know the meaning of it in terms of your nation's lore/what inspired it.

1)Ohohoho. I remember you saying that Warera Contactee was really "wtf". I think the series has a special place in my heart as my life is really "wtf" too. I'm not pulling your leg: I believe I saw a UFO during my childhood, at around the age of 10 or 11. It was a very close distance, near the treeline of a fenced golf course that was next to the public school I went to. I had wandered off in recess into usually an empty field area. It was no balloon, it was a metallic sphere like something out of an M.C. Escher painting, about the size of a person, hovering around pine trees, against the wind's direction...then it just zoomed out of view.

1)I mean the only canonical alien who's hit the Rulzea in our factbook was more of an invasive species than anything sentient, but we actually do have carnivorous sentients for the modern UCBR to fear, so anyways it doesnt matter.

Yes I have plans for a Rulzean Military factbook. It comes after my next factbook (Which will be a finalized national map of Atis, with a short description of every Burrow and every councilman), and that will be started after all of my current factbooks are no longer WIP.

2) Not a fan tbh. The scifi trope of 'we found a space station with technology we cannot even comprehend and the original owners are gone and yet it still inexplicably works' is so overdone it bores me to tears. Empires that build themselves up in their own canon are far more interesting to me, and use much less deus ex magic.

1. It's not? I mean my previous flag was literally a picture of Ace from Doctor Who, which is, you know, a British live-action series and very much not anime. I've also used paintings of Marie Antoinette, pictures of statues/sculptures, Thomas and Friends characters, etc. as my flag before. It's far from 'always' being some anime girl.

2. In real world terms, uh, it's coming on 10 years this December (although the current canon has only existed since 2019). In in-character terms, Aikoland's existed for 302 years since the three independent kingdoms that were all under personal union since 1303 were unified into one state called Aikoland in 1719.

Not naturally.

No, seriously.

Arnold Harrison was obsessed with making super weapons and super soldiers. He envisioned an unstoppable army of both man, monster and machine. One of those things was a Mind-Stalker.

In reality, the Mind-Stalkers were being made before the Civil War, at least to perfect the procedure. Basically, advancements in nano-surgery, genetic alteration and mutagenic substances allowed the ability to get the biological material from six people, and convert it into one abomination. Drawing up the actual stencils of the Mind-Stalker were hard, requiring mapping out every last aspect of the creature into some Frankenstein's monster abomination.

The end result after the surgery was not, in fact, the mind-stalker. because a Mind-Stalker requires psychic abilities (in Arnold Harrison's vision) he needed them to be able to attack physically and mentally. In effect, he stole a mutagenic substance from another R&D group called Psyform and injected it into each of the Mind-Stalker's minds.

However, the Psyform was unstable, causing significant genetic alterations such as the glowing, acidic saliva and blood as well as the harden dermal layer that took on a charcoal appearance while also sending them to insanity.

Arnold Harrison was overjoyed. However, the Mind-Stalkers were unable to be controlled, and uncoordinated they would be vulnerable to the ADPF. So when the Civil War wore on, he selected many ADPF prisoners of war to be converted into Mind-Stalkers. If the fascists won the civil war, no doubt they would have eventually discovered a way to control the Mind-Stalkers making them a force to be reckoned with.

But the ADPF won, and so the MInd-Stalkers were released into an area that soon became known as "the Rangers Graveyard."

And that is why the Mind-Stalkers exist.

Also one for Saucer, since they were asked the same question one too many times: Do you have a particular history book or academic you can't stand at all? Do you dislike them because of ideology, inaccuracies in their approach, or just disagree with their general style?

Jared Diamond. But that would be a very simple answer. And he's not a historian IIRC.

But alas, it's Beatriz Braniff Cornejo...which is very weird, I personally feel like I'm in a love-hate relationship whenever I read their stuff. I appreciate that they were well-versed in the conceptual etho-history of the (American) Southwest as a region and pointed out the many meta-level conceptual anachronisms that come with accepting the term, as well as shining light unto the drama between American and Mexican investigators had/have over labelling the region (and also whether or how much Mesoamerican culture rubbed off on it's northern neighbors or even vice versa) and setting down the borders of Aridoamerica. I actually enjoy the sardonic style in which they write as well as their insights into the notion of culture-area that many students of Mesoamerica take for granted. But what I find unforgivable is that they pointed out the un-critical follies of mixing national pride when it came to certain American investigators placing the "Southwest" as far south as Jalisco or Guadalajara, Braniff also more or less committed the same sin by postulating that the region is actually "La Gran Chichimeca", and that could be seen as confabulating pre-Colombian history with Mexican geopolitical terms, imo. I felt that was like pointing out a turd in the street only to step on it. Also, Braniff also comes of as a bit naïve whenever myth-history is involved, reading it at face value, she once claimed that Chicomóztoc (the mythical origin place of the Aztec-Mexicas) can't be located in Baja California because it has no caves, for example. Their mix of good takes and bad ones is a little vexing for me.

Btw, I generally use Southwest or Noroeste for expediency's sake, as Stephen Leckson aptly has pointed out that there's no getting around culturally/geographically useful "colonial" or "anachronistic" terms, in English or Spanish.

1. It depends. Some regions are far more prosperous than either two, such as Brazil, NYC, or the Deep South. However, other regions are far worse off such as Montana, Nevada, and the Amazon rainforest. There is no real consistency as to what's shit and what isn't, but generally speaking, regions in North America that were prosperous in the OTL are prosperous in the Wexasverse and rural regions that weren't... well, weren't.
2. No, it's just a personal preference of the King.
3. I'd imagine that, eventually, most things would be discovered in one way or another. However, some things would be lost to history, such as certain genres of music.

1. Sorry if this question has been asked before, but why a zombie apocalypse in particular? Did zombies just appeal to you more, or is there a different reason?
2. Seeing how the disease can be spread through insects, are any special measures taken to make sure that nobody gets sick from bugs?
3. I'd imagine that being the overseer of a survival group is a very physically demanding task. Does Victoria have a specific workout routine to help her keep in shape?

Sorry this took a while to answer!

1. To put it simply, I just like the idea of a zombie apocalypse setting because it gives me more room to be creative and allows me to be more focused on character driven stories like Quinn and soon another character, I'll be making soon that will help Quinn through her struggles as Overseer.

2. Before every country's government collapsed by the infection, scientists were actually studying some insects that were immune to the infection. These scientists hoped that by studying these insects they could make a cure, however by this point it was too late as the infection stopped spreading through insects and started infecting humans more. So, to answer your question there is no measure against getting bit by an insect infected with ZI-Z3.

3. As for Quinn's workout routine she does 20 push-ups a day, 30 sit-ups a day, and does 40 pull-ups a day to keep her body healthy and fit. Doing these workout routines also helps Quinn take her mind off her stressful duties as Overseer.
