Is the following thing canon in BN?

Somewhat true with the colonising planets part. Although we have faster than light abilities based on a combination of magic and technology, the ruling Democratic Socialist coalition has only permitted unmanned probes to visit other star systems, believing it would be better to wait for a stateless, classless, post-scarcity society to be established on Earth first before moving to other planets and star systems.

BN's leader prefers tea to coffee.

Coffee in the morning, tea after 3 PM [then inevitably, coffee at 3 AM].

That being said, most tea cultivated in Leskya and the rest of Africa is much stronger than Asian or European counterparts, to the point where many foreign adventurers visiting Leskya opt for espresso-style cups of tea due to discomfort with larger cups. (This may or may not have something to do with our domestic cultivation of the Coca plant)

BN tends to be very cloudy.

No. Our weather is hot. We have humid, salt marsh coasts, and it gets dry the further inland you go, into rocky deserts. The weather is mostly sunny. We rarely get precipitation, as we live in a rain shadow, only partially mitigated by coastal moisture. The summer heat can actually be dangerous, with dehydration and heat stroke being real problems.

By definition, a desert is dry, none of the other things listed are inherent to a desert. Now deserts usually have sparse or uncommon trees, or may be devoid of trees, but this detail is not something inherent to a desert - it is possible for a forest to be considered a desert if it gets under a certain amount of precipitation yearly on average. They aren't necessarily flat either, a desert can have hills or other terrain features just fine. Most people think of deserts as being filled with sand, but this too is not an inherent feature - deserts can have sand, but they could also have gravel, clay, dirt, or any number of other ground coverings. Regarding heat, cold deserts do exist (Anarctica is one, most tundras are also deserts), but admittedly most people think of hot deserts as those are far more common.

All you had to say then was "No, Q&K is wet."

well... it's complicated. as eya is still transitioning from a largely tribal and somewhat feudal state to a democratic one, some relics of the past are yet to be reimagined within the rapidly changing framework of things. for the larger portion of her history, the queendom employed a system of unequal hours, which were longer during sun months and shorter during moon months, essentially mimicking DST. the tradition continues into today, though equal hours have become popular due to an influx of foreigners and the establishment of a formal, western-esque government.
