Kinda agree. France, Germany, Italy, and Britain are overrated. Finland, Poland, Portugal, and Croatia have so much beauty people have yet to witness.

The fact that there are grown men being so triggered over a 16 year old is pretty much a good case why free speech and democracy should be regulated the same way we regulate capitalism to prevent everything falling into the fire

Disagreed. Giving the power to regulate speech to the government is dangerous, because one may never know who will come to power next or what he/she will restrict. No, the First Amendment must not be infringed.

The individual AN was referencing had the right to announce her belief in climate change, just as the "grown men" have the right to call her out on it.

Partially agree. They very much have the right and ability to "call her out on it", but that'd imply she's wrong. Corporate shilling goes a long way in the USA's media circus apparently.

The original recipe for pozole would be illegal nowadays. P.S. the special ingredient is human.

Capitalism is more flawed than communism(ya we getting political)

Disagree. Capitalism may have many little flaws, like poors and the ultra rich; but Commuism has a larger flaw: under true communism, a stateless society where the economy is run by the people, people will still have greed, and will want to be above others. This can lead to many things, including crime and violence. And since there is no state to keep order, it ultimately descends into disorganized madness.

Polytheism > monotheism

Disagree. No matter how many God(s) you have, it all boils down to the core ideas that determine whether or not your religion should be mocked or respected.

In response to Strahcoin: If people don't want free speech regulated for the sake of ensuring we don't have a "fire in a crowded theater" scenario, then Anglo/Latino cultures need to overhaul their current anti-academic attitudes because 21st century geopolitics is interconnected and even a single anti-academic country will bring harm to billions of people outside their border. The lives of billions are worth more than the opinion of a few thousand anti-vaxxers or climate change deniers. Liberty and Democracy can only sustain itself so long as the average citizen is well educated and taking a look at Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and the US, it doesn't look so good.

Disagree. Ever heard of fission and fusion in Mesoamerica? Or gods with different aspects? Y'know, like Tlahuizcalpantecuhtli also being Xolotl and in some versions also Itztlacoliuhqui-Ixquimilli while being associated with Quetzalcóatl? No thanks! Even Christian trinitarianism is a less traumatizing thing.

AN: I agree. Selective skepticism is negligently dangerous.

Greek gods are associated with white marble statues. I guess.

Technically, you are allowed to shout "FIRE" in a crowded theater - if there is a fire in the crowded theater. The reason it's illegal to shout "FIRE" in a crowded theater without fire is because it directly, deliberately, and unreasonably brings physical harm to others. And the people can only be educated if they were allowed to freely speak and exchange ideas without fear of punishment.

Imperial Palestinain State wrote:Israel belongs to palestine

Disagreed; Israel belongs to Israel.

It is better to have an uneducated state with free speech than an educated state without.

Depends on your definition of “educated”, and how far the suppression of free speech goes. Something like, say, the U.S., is ideal- generally well-educated, and there’s free speech.

The U.S. wouldn’t work without federalism

Agreed it's a rather delicate system of checks and balances.

Reddit is a rather left leaning website.
