Heavily disagree. The nature of gender as a social performance and the social construction of human ideas makes it arguable that all gender is imaginary, so gender identity can be decoupled from biological sex at birth. Those who feel a spiritual obligation to construct their own gender identities in a certain way (such as within a binary) may do so according to their freedom of choice, but I see no reason why they should extend that to accuse others of delusion and deny others their freedom of choice (because, among other reasons, everyone should be free to share or not share such obligation if they do not feel moved upon to do so). If one says society may tread on others' self-construction of something as important as gender identity, then we're opening doors for society to tread on other traits of great importance, such as our self-construction of spiritual identity.

Short version: disagree. Nonbinary gender identity is valid.

Probably agree. At least, it seems to be the case from what I see in other nations that still do struggle in meaningful ways but are still leagues ahead of the States.

Disagree; we shouldn't flog anyone, and I've learned a lot about the world from posters who were able to mention politics in ways that were narratively satisfying in roleplay as well as thoughtful and respectful.

It's a-okay to use traditionally gendered associations to affirm your gender if that makes you happy, and it's also a-okay to defy traditionally gendered associations and still affirm your gender if that makes you happy. Such associations are social constructions and are tools for us to use or not use as we see fit.

Agree very much here. And I did not mean this in the... extreme left way. If people identify themselves as whoever they are and they are not hurting anyone, just let them be. There is seriously no harm in accepting them for who they are. ♥ As a man once said: 我等は砲兵皇国の護り (We are artillery guardians of the Empire). Wait, wrong verse.

Same vein here, and I don't normally get this political, but I have to say it: The gender norms on clothing has to go too. Yes, there is an acceptable norm on what is formal, what is smart-casual, and what is just casual, but damn it, if you can sport a dress and look badass and cute in it, you should be able to do that. :hug:

Honestly aye.
Fashion is hardly objective these days and if people want to wear something they want that doesn’t conform to any gender norms then I have no issue with it. If something’s comfy, practical, or just looks good you shouldn’t feel bad for wearing it. I’m personally on the fence about it in regards to what I wear but honestly that’s just because I’ve found wearing a dress or the likes to be a little chilly.

Just a question of personal preference for BN but,
using a slightly off-white tone in place of pure #ffffff white looks better for color palettes, especially bicolor ones.

Agreed, sometimes the colors of NS Light theme and #FFFFFF get mixed up a lot, so a slightly-darker white is good.

Nostalgia, when you're too absorbed in it, can be very harmful, either physically or mentally.

Agree-ish. The thing is, so many people did not know about one-step black and one-step white. So NS forces alternating colors to ensure readability, but it also screws you over with your formatting. So if you want black/white regardless of theme or reader, go for #000001 and #FFFFFE. It helps a lot! ♥
