I've always been enchanted by the idea of polities that exist despite not being true nation-states so this caught my eye. On another note, the motto "Ever Vigilant" was almost my choice here but I decided it was probably best to go for something more substantial.

The government of St. Astraea is a paradoxical mixture between a byzantine combination of “bureaucratic hell” in particular areas and the epitome of streamlined efficiency in others.

I imagine a Bugatti Veyron but with broken brakes, a dead dashboard, and a twig where the steering wheel is supposed to be.

Soldiers alone don’t win crigs. From the gun you carry to the biggest ship in the Allied fleet, each is a gear in the crigsmachine we’re on, and as the ‘engineers’ of this machine, it’d be best if you knew each and every cogwheel, axle, switch, and wire that makes this thing work.

I very much enjoy the comparison to war as a machine and tacticians as engineers of the whole show. I may be reading too much into it, but I'd dare say the quote itself is a good way to view the industrial society that General ██████ █████████ is apart of.

Oh and "And, for the love of god I, still have these black boxes on my name!" was a fantastic addition.

Terrific writing throughout the factbooks in general but this line really stood out. I feel like these words are such a wonderfully poetic closing to an especially powerful communiqué. Good stuff.
