Frisemark, Is another one of those Island nations with pretty factbooks, a nice map, along with the added bonus of being an instrestering concept. Alot of nations are quite like this. I have seen atleast 10 other users to something similar


However I think Frisemark is a special one because its Danish and it has a really cool flag. I dont often see danish nations, so I had to take a look and read through. Another cool thing about them Is that their factbooks arent that long, Usually nations like theirs would have enourmous factbooks that would take forever to read whislit having the important stuff scattered throught the school paper they whipped up. But Frisemark's information is different, I found important things relatively easy, with the added bonus of the entire paragraph or two he wrote being about that thing, No buildup towards it at all.

Trivale is pretty convient when looking through their factbooks. There is quite literally nothing there, accept for the information THEY want you to know. There is no digging for it either. I do also like the fact they dont try to create entire paragraphs with their posts and get straight to the point, something consistent with the user.

I haven't seen them around on the forums overmuch, but they seem to have an interesting start to their nation concept. Some of the alien species you have are weird and unique, and I think the idea of an African-American space theocracy is something that I haven't seen before. I think you should probably go back and edit some of your factbooks a little bit, since the grammar could definitely use some work, but this overall seems like an interesting start to something.

Alright, perhaps last time when I judged your nation, my thoughts were put off a little by me being rather infuriated with some of your antics, and perhaps I let that cloud my judgement last time. I'll give some credit where it's due: the concept of a bunch of African-American mates going out to colonize other planets out there and making New Detroit is really quite out there as a concept, and I might even call it a little based. It's unique, and has a lot of potential to do better. And this is where I must deliver some things I've been meaning to say; the potential that your nation could have feels untapped due to how empty it is. This nation could do so much better if you actually put any sort of elbow grease or effort into it, and the way you seem to take criticism really comes off to me as a refusal to get better in a meaningful way, which is just infuriating. You can perhaps try to play around with the BBCode shenanigans to create some better formatting for your factbooks to make them look nicer, or write a few extra words to make it look good, even add a few shimmers to make it stand out a bit better than the many other FT nations we have here.

Oh, and on the side, I do also have some things to say about the grammar, sorry to be a Grammar Nazi but the grammar just tosses me off, and it would be better for your nation if you were to fix them, maybe with the assistance of spelling or grammar checker. Then there's the military factbooks where you seemed to have put more effort into writing, and to be honest it sort of comes off a bit as milisplurge, but... eh, I suppose you can have some fun with all of that military stuff. So, I will say that this is a unique concept in dire need of fleshing out to become something great, and you really need to learn to take a bit of criticism, couldn't hurt too much, listening can help your nation greatly.

So, Free Kathen, old mate, your factbooks as of now are quite empty and need some work put into them. Well, they're in WIP, what was I expecting. I suppose I can deliver my thoughts on what's there so far.

Overall, it seems to be quite well-thought out. You went into the ancient history of your nation in order to show us mates how your nation came into existence, and it does seem like you adequately took into consideration the long term implications that the events might have on your nation. The Midnight Revolution was a pretty nice part of your history. However, something that I feel like that I need to point out is the technology level of your nation. This has to be an MT nation as you seem to have an air force, but... something just feels a little off about the progression of your nation's technology. They started off using some fired tablets and then at a rather quick pace are able to advance to having an air force and encrypted communications. Something doesn't feel right, though that's probably just me. Overall, this nation does seem like something that could be decent, and with more work put into it it could become something pretty good. Keep up the good work mate.

It's a little hard to believe that an island to the southwest of the Balkans would end up as culturally Slavic rather than Greek or Italic, or officially refer to itself as "the Junta of Karazicu" given that "junta" is a Spanish word. Overall it feels a little like a jumble of seemingly disparate elements. In fairness the user pretty much acknowledges that this is the case in their "Questions and Misconceptions" factbook. I don't know the poster, but the fact that they've gone to such effort to give detailed feedback to others speaks well of them.

[Foehn Paramilitary Regions]

As of right now, it feels a bit too much like it really is just "England but not English", and the main problem, as it stands, is that there really is not much of an explanation as to what exactly led to this quasi-England to, you know, not be the English as we know them today. There's mentions of it being historically divided into many independent states, but I'd argue that mentioning that is not as important as explaining how, for example, they rose up and managed to last until the 19th Century, or what happened to entities like, say, the Danemark or what happened to the Normans and why they hadn't decided to invade England like they did OTL. It's this sort of lack of explanation as to what and why things happened that make me more and more likely to just... dismiss this as "England but not really", really.

It's a shame, too, because it's very clear that you're interested in actually writing about your nation, given the lengths you've gone to describe the cultural and government-related aspects of it (although there are some points where I do have to question if things would be much, MUCH more different than they are in the factbook, given, again, the very premise behind Seaxnarice), the fact that you've gone as far as to name concepts and political entities within your universe with the Seaxish language (double the points if it's actually a conlang, too!), and how much you've described the High King.

What does, however, rub me the wrong way is the "other nations" factbook, because, oh boy, it's kind of a mixed bag. You have nations and worldbuilding decisions ranging from sensible and plausible (like, say, the Kingdom of Alba or the Eirinnish Confederation, which do make sense, given the state of the British Isles in this timeline), going to "wait, what?" (like the USSR still existing and expanding, the fact that Germany did unify, but not Italy...), all the way to decisions that just make no sense at all (explain to me, how the fuck Granada managed to not only keep itself alive - bear in mind, Granada OTL was a taifa kingdom, and one in a precarious situation compared to both Castilla and Aragón - but also seemingly manage to keep all of Andalucía safe and sound... and why the flag of the Hispanic Kingdom still chooses to display the symbol of Granada, despite it not being under its control, nor being an old territory of itself).

It's the lack of explanations as to why things happened (or what even happened, period) as to why, and I'm sorry for saying this, Seaxnarice is a bit... bland right now. Some more development on the historical front of things would really be appreciated, because otherwise, it's at a high risk of just falling onto the same group that most nations tend to fall onto: the forgettable.

Definitely among the best nations around here. This nation possessed excellently developed, in-depth, and interesting lore that is not by any means some cookie-cutter crap, or really generic at all, and it stands out exceptionally well when it comes to aesthetics and formatting. However, one real complaint that I do is that a good portion of the links present do link into the void, so perhaps you could get to work on placing some factbooks there. I must say, it's also nice to have a mate around here who does not beat around the bush, and is fairly blunt when telling somebody what he thinks about their nation, just gets out what needs to be said. Overall, a great nation, this could be made a lot better when the links that as of now are going into nothing were worked on.

[New San Andreas Republic]

A very realistic and interesting depiction of a military junta, which while certainly prevalent on NationStates are rarely gone into with such depth and interesting variables in how it formed and how it is maintained. Well-made factbooks, a flag that makes me laugh in how stupid it looks (in a good way), and interesting concepts that aren't wasted. Overall, I enjoy their conduct and the input/connections they make with other nations.

I’ve seen fallout-based nations, and I’ve seen GTA-based nations, but I think this is the first that I’ve seen that combines the two. Combining two game series that pride themselves on having hellabig game areas and oodles of content? Well, you’re certainly not gonna be short on source material.

Good luck to you on that, though if your power-armor paladin gangbangers start yelping out dragon shouts I will likely explode due to confusion.

Caleshan is a pretty interesting nation. At first it seems like spacefaring vikings, Mongols, and Native Americans are the most that it has to offer, and even that would be unique enough to be a memorable nation that has its own identity, but it keeps going. The whole universe and its sense of morality is weird, and I like it! I mean, stock traders trading shares of civilizations is just... not something I would have ever come up with. And then there's services that can tank those shares by destroying those worlds, that's just... so out there!

I consider this nation pretty much unique, even if it kinda lacks the "oomph" and the other icing and distinction that other nations have going for them.

Furry and anthro nations afaik used to be more common before during 2019-2020, but it seems that some of them either died down or retconned their lore (Brought to you dearly by your "Most Normal MT Liberal Democracy"^TM), and one can indeed see the age of East Wolven through their theme. If this was in 2020-2021 I would have said that East Wolven was more common but out of the survivors from the theme it just made it more unique.

I believe that I have replied to this nation multiple times before so I am going to say the same thing that the combination of PT medieval and fantasy aesthetic with furry and anthros esp. wolves is pretty much unique and is surprising that it is not done more commonly, going with the explosion of weird memes lately, like Turanic wolf furries?. (If it was wolfgirls, it would be Spice and Wolf). But the combination of the two together kinda fits just really well due to pop culture and memes.

This nation also gives me a very unique vibe despite as I said earlier, not really having the most distinctive lore - more as a unique feeling or ambience. I am kinda saddened that a lot of the Factbooks that I have low-key expected to be already finished such as this Dispatch on the North Wolvic diet is still unfinished and WIP, and the presence of a lot of 1 year old WIP Factbooks just gives a blemish on the overall Factbooks page tbh.

The unique feeling that I get from this nation is like the taste in my tongue of a wolf anthro or just a wolf eating a sizzling pork jowl dish, to put in very vague and weird terms? I don't get this from any other nations, so consider your nation memorable, at least to me. Bravo.

I am a little confused by this nation, but I think it is an interesting, if fantastical, intersection of anime/fairy things (at least I think it's anime... IDK about anime though) and the Soviet Union when Gorbachev was General Secretary. I think the lore is well thought out as well.

Your official history factbook doesn't have too much lore imho, and your overview factbook is hard to find but has just been started, and it would be lovely to see more detail behind the founding and process of your nation. I do see that you are very involved in regional and diplomatic affairs, though, and I have to commend you for that. You've managed to create your own region, though it sadly seems to be dying and is password-protected. Still, I hope your nation and region will see the best of a future!

Bursken is a nation and user with disparate and inconsistent factbook/worldbuilding work on their nation. While it is appreciable that Burken has written out in some detail the founding of their nation, it lacks certain things, like context, and includes too much of others (like why do I, the reader, need to know the family relations of some of these people? Show me what they did, and what happened because of it). In most other factbooks, there is little to say other than it shouldn't be taken seriously, with the user apparently having fun (how disgraceful) so judging those are more depending on whether I find them funny or not.

As a user, they're active on forums as well as their regional chat, but I've yet to see them enter RP in any capacity, so hopefully they'll develop a palate for that soon enough. For now, I view them as a sort of perennial user whose future depends on whether they double down and head down the rabbit hole of NS or give it up entirely after a while. I could see Bursken going either way.

Overall, though the factbooks of this user need a little work to be easier on the eyes but I expect most of the rough parts of this nation will be ironed out with time.

They've got an incredibly in-depth, detailed, interesting and well-developed sci-fi backstory and setting for their nation. They're also, in my opinion, an example of such a concept done right and done in a way that doesnt appear overaly complex or poorly explained. Therefore, I like this nation. Furthermore, as shown above me they very clearly put a lot of effort into their judgements and responses when many others would just do 1-2 sentences.
