Though at first they seemed to be kinda morally heinous, after reading the factbook on their values I got that their system of government was born out of historical necessity. Wonder if they really are inevitably bound to war or if there's something about those times of peace their leaders have overlooked, interesting to think about what an opposition to the status quo in the empire would look like, wether it would embrace an alternate view of their own history, even if wrong, to make peace and liberation possible.

While it does improve on many of the issues that Japan has, there are some that aren't even issues, such as Capital punishment, Kawaii culture, or those aesthetically pleasing older websites.
No nation is perfect and imperfections add to the realism (or even charm depending on what they are) of a nation.

I agree with you in that there is nothing wrong with kawaii culture in itself, however it has been criticized when it promotes gender roles. Capital punishment is also criticized. And Hatsunia isn't meant to be absolutely perfect, just a country that doesn't systematically "lag behind." The countries that don't lag behind in areas like information technology and gender equality probably aren't perfect either.

It must be a very healthy nation as I see celery on the flag.

But when I looked more in depth at the nation I noticed that it seemed to be another anime japanese fictional nation.
But in the end I actully like this nation. It seperates from the rest because it has a very developed lore. Like really Deep lore. The work on this nations dispatches are some of the best I have seen so far in NS and I Think this person should be proud of their nation.

It also did not go crazy on the anime stuff which many japanese inspired nations do which I like the most about Hatsunia

How is it that personal freedoms remain high (especially that of free speech) while the nation rules as an autocratic one-party state? Wouldn’t arguments against a monolithic executive branch in parliament be a ripe argument used by opposition parties in The Grey Isles? Also, are there any les majestes (libel laws protecting the reputation of the Emperor) laws in The Grey Isles that help retain the dignity of the position of Emperor? Many, many questions

Honestly, just an all around cool place. FT is always a plus, and provides a lot of opportunity for cool lore, and here is no different. Not to mention, its fairly well laid out and consistent which is nice!
Welcome to the Allied Kingdom of Great Caledonia
"In absentia lucis, Tenebrae vincunt"

Imagine a world where the British Isles are a far different place...A world where the War of the Roses never eradicated the House of York, but instead condemned them to the confines of the great northern Caledonia...A world where English Culture has been split down the middle, not only birthing two parallel, highly influential societies...but two highly competitive royal families as well.

While over 500 years may have passed since Richard III first marched forward through Christminster, the modern, democratic Kingdom of Great Caledonia will always be a lasting reminder of The House of York...and what it once was.

In OOC, the Philippines has underwent five major constitutional revisions since its independence from Spain in 1898.

This nation was borne out of a fictional continuation of the state of Filipino politics since 2022. So from that year (2022) till this nation’s IC year (2071), there has only been two (2) major constitutional revisions, hence the name “Seventh Republic of the Philippines”.

Hope this helps :)

Intriguing thought experiment, its quite the embodiment of the aspirations of white-nationalists. Although it would be quite interesting to find that the OOC equivalent of Madagascar, having been situated quite a distance away from the other territories in Kaedijork, remains relatively stable. In fact a Falkland-Islands esque dispute is already playing in my head right now just looking at Madagascar
