"What -is- this? They are dressed in Medieval-style power armor, using... sword-plasma guns? How does that make sense? They seem to be equipped for dealing with a modern force, using their specialized... powers... and obsolete, weirdass pre-space tech to overcome technological obstacles. Doesn't seem to be working out for them, though. The strongest ordnance they field bounces off of our armor and shield generators, and my own sidearm can deliver enough boom to level one of their concrete forts. Those mages of theirs seem to really lose their panties when our nanoswarms go in.

This war's gonna be a speed bump until we get to see what their heavy artillery is like. I swear, though, of all pre-space armies I've gone up against, they deserve my congratulations for being the least speed-bumpy of them all.

First of which is the fact that the Firestorm's max speed is much faster than their missiles. If one is on your tail and fires a missile, just accelerate . Second is that since our missiles were made for space, they're much faster and have longer range. If you're dumb and let them get close to you and you're not in a position to turn and outrun the missile then you will be in some trouble as our countermeasures seem less effective against their missiles than expected.

"Well we set up camp on this plateau because HQ doesn't think having our untrained Conquerors go up against an enemy that specializes in heavy armor was a good idea. I'll be honest I don't have much to do, the Corvus are seeing most of the action. The enemy keeps on forgetting just how far a laser sniper rifle can reach so the sharpshooters are enjoying their turkey shoot. They do try mounting a counter offensive every so often, but my laser lmg seems to do a good job of fending them off. Though I did see a Corvus wiping blood off their sword after one attack, the crazy bastard. The enemy does try artillery barrages and bombing to get us off here, but well the Firestroms can wipeout the bombers and we have dropships ready to take us to another plateau if they try the former."

Reminds me of the second winter war, but you know in a desert, their armor while impressive doesn't hold a candle too our mounts, and can mostly be taken care of by our STRV-131s at long range from hull down behind a sand dune, cant be too overconfident, a 120mm can do a number if hit at a opportune angle, just need to make sure to keep their air defenses suppressed and our Svaljas should have clean pickings too. A pretty standard Desert Op, as long as we don't stay to long, we arent here to get caught up in any war on terror. While I prefer the finish tundras up north, the desert does fine to, provided we can keep our AC working
