She admired the firearm. "I'm sure my husband would know more about these. He doesn't have a collection of his own, but it turns out being in the military gives you plenty of chances to learn a lot about firearms. Perhaps I'll have to find a vintage weapon like this to give him for his birthday."
She handed the revolver back to Maria-Luisa. "All he has at the moment is his old M16 from his time with the marines. It's something of a frankenstein rifle now, since he converted it to fire a different caliber of bullet when we were in Siberia. We didn't really have access to a gun shop so we had to make do with what we found."
