Is it an interesting tale?"
“I would say so. Now, gather round, and hear the story of Ghamid.”
The lights would dim, and the fire suddenly went out. However, the light above the Priest would stay on, like a spotlight.
“One hundred thousand years ago, Ghamid ruled the Earth. For the most part, humans were ignored as just another animal, albiet one with a more developed soul. They could not develop any civilization, for the only civilization allowed was that of the Ghamidians; Ghamid’s children.”
“However, this established order did not last forever. Young gods came to Earth, and grew up attached to its people. Eventually, they revolted against Ghamid, in a war that lasted for two millennia. The war changed the surface of the Earth irreparably, cutting canyons out of the ground and decapitating mountains. Eventually, the young gods won, and Ghamid was exiled from Earth.”
“But, before it disappeared, it gave a prophecy to the young gods. They would die, and Ghamid would return to take its throne once more. Now, as was foretold, the young gods have fallen, and nothing is left to protect the Earth. I am here to warn mankind of its coming doom, so that they may rise to replace the young gods and defend against Ghamid.”
"That sounds like Earth's problem. I'm not even sure this is the same planet as there have been many in the multiverse...
And even if these gods have died, wouldn'tthey have left somthing for current humanity to fight just in case?"
