OOC: wait, wasn’t it universally agreed we wouldn’t include our Nations for the sole reason that someone would make it OP or another person murdering it instantly? I remember the last thread had this problem of someone including their nation as this OP monster empire which curbstomped everyone and we had to murder another country recently for this very reason.

2: We arent an OP nation. As of now, we are a fledgling society trying to establish themselves and grow. Anyone can take us out at any moment just like anyone else. Its just we are focusing on the things that will get us ahead.

Dozens of photos of mutilated bodies are printed in the press and the public becomes aware of the government lies. Protests composed of thousands take to the street calling for the arrest of those responsible.

372 MY: The Maxtopian Alliance's armies decisively win the climactic Battle of Hants Farm. The battle, fought in a picturesque farming village of 4 houses, lasts for 7 hours and sees an estimated 10'000 slain. Matthias II of the Vogel Empire is killed in a brutal melee with Violetan peasant levees and the body torn apart for souvenirs. Maxtopia's King Mark-Francis II fights in the thick of the battle, personally slaying the Blackacrian general with the sword that replaces his left hand on the roof of one of the houses.

With the Vogel Empire and Blackacre's army so completely routed in the field, the Maxtopians loot the supply train and finally are able bring home the food that was promised all those years ago. Not that it mattered, the crops yields have long recovered.

Tragically, Grunhilde scouts find their first Nekojimonian city in the Great Mountains. It's a relatively minor provincial city, but the consequences are dire. The Mad Grand Duke personally leads the assault into the metropolis. 5 days later, the army leaves. The body of every Nekojimonian man, woman and child living in the city has been piled up in one giant mountain of corpses. The atrocity is condemned by other nations, notably the Merchant Council of Takaria, but the horrors of this ghoulish war continue.

Meanwhile the Lilliputhian peoples continue their migration eastwards. They bypass Maxtopia by going north of Legane City.

After hearing his son’s death, Matthias I proposed a peace treaty with Maxtopia. In return for peace, Maxtopia would acquire the city of Bavaria in southern Pferdreich, right along the Maxtopian border. Maxtopia would also receive a tribute of 13% of their GDP for a century. Blackacre would also be a signature to the peace accord as well as Pferdreich of course. In honor of the new city acquired, the treaty is known as the Treaty of Bavaria.

Since Maxtopia was only barely winning, this is a marvelous gesture.

Maxtopia accepted the peace treaty and a new era of scientific discovery dawns. The entire known world prospers from the wonderous new inventions, including the invention of the bound book and saddle stirrups. Pferdreich and the Vögel Empire combine to form the Krähereich and they are officially one nation for good. Lumenöffnen gives itself a name when it discovers a rich vein of aluminum, which quickly becomes its highest export since the metal is so rare.

With Nekojimonia having been dealt a massive moral blow, an engagement effort was pronounced. Some men who hadn’t entered the army would form their own militias to defend, and while individually one of these Nekojishi could be powerful, they wouldn’t be able to fight an army. So the next logical step is a militia, these fighting cats have a powerful punch and are physically fit from their semi-tribal lifestyle (particularly when it comes to hunting).

With news reaching the army on the main “defense”, invasion plans are quickly brought up to directly invade the madduke, with revenge high on mind, however this revenge would not be murder, but purification.

In this year the City-State of Violeta officially becomes a vassal state to Maxtopia. For the most part the ruling council is allowed to government themselves on all matters except foreign policy, but the emperor will have veto power.

One of the Maxtopian generals who made a fortune in the war purchases a large plot of land by Lexxi city and begins to construct a massive church to the Order of Maxx. A deeply devout man, he proclaims that since only divine intervention could have made fortune smile so favourably on him and his country, he must honour it. The Maxximum Cathedral is scheduled to be finished in 20 years.

380-384 MY: The plague started to spread. However, the new Emperor takes notice of this and started a program to eradicate the fleas and the rats carrying it. Meanwhile, people who died from it will be cremated, while the people tried to figure out how to treat it and prevent them from contacting it.

Meanwhile, a new month is added, Exodium (named after the exodus of The Empire of Jenni's people to Maxland, which is believed to happen on that month)

He attempts to use his ideas of good will, and compensation, as his grounds for peace and brings in the ideas of a small land change where Nekojimonia is given a small strip of land which leads to unclaimed land, but Nekojimonia should pay some copper in exchange for it, with a discount based on the slaughter. He's quoted saying "Best I could do it 500" (a relatively small amount) when talking about pricing for the land.

387: The Maexantean Emperor Alexander-Francis formally adopts the Farchasanid calendar. This change is made much easier than usual because this year sees a bumper crop this year, with a huge food surplus to go around.

Initially the Mad Duke rejects the peace deal, but this triggers a coup in the palace that kills him. The new duke, literally with one foot on the body, announces acceptance of the peace deal. Dick Darrison is hailed as a great peacemaker.

After decades of migrating, the Lilliputhians reach the far eastern coast of the continent. There, they find a promising uninhabited bay with many natural resources. The prophet announces that this is the promised land, and thus Lilliputia is founded.

379 MY: With the adoption of the Farchasaenid Calendar, the Maxtopian Calendar started to fade out, with only one nation adopting it. In an attempt to preserve it, the Emperor ordered both calendars to be used, and two new, and final months to be added to the Maxtopian calendar, Nekojimium and Communium, named after the discovery of Nekojimia and the communitism adoption in Maxtopia, respectively.

An expedition was sent, going to the east, using both land explorers and ships, the expedition found a new land, with a nation called Daguo occupying the land. The explorers brought back items from Daguo, such as Daguoan paper, silk, and calligraphy.

Duke Harrison started a campaign to promote tolerance with the Nekojimians. He also aided the Nekojimians in finding a new home and rebuilding, as well as condemning the Mad Duke for his atrocities.

Meanwhile, the island of Liliputhia, the original homeland of the Liliputhians, is visited this year by a group of Nekojimians refugees. Numbering in 100,they used the existing settlement as their new home, rebuilding the buildings to fit with their size.

With the formalization of land, Nekojimonia began a sprint to the sea. Unfortunately, a sliver of land only 2 kilometers wide, connected the capital of Nekojimonia (in the mountains) to their “snake tail” which leads to the sea. The territory on maps that were being made have Nekojimonia look like a tadpole with a large bulge of their territory in the Great Mountains, it is documented that whenever there’s an elevation that territory tends to swell outwards in all directions instead of just a very straight line.
(OOC description: they really like to own mountains and hills, so whenever they form a town, it’s 90% of the time on a hill of some sort)

383-9 MY: Maxtopia/Maexantea is reformed in administration. In a 4 hours speech, the emperor explains how the country now has 27 'communes' and 4 'new communes' instead of the old provinces. Each is controlled by a baron who must meet once a year in Maxland (itself given a special status) in order to have, in essence, their marching orders. The senate's powers are drastically reduced, making it practically an advisory body. If this was happening in modern times, the vocabulary of 'coup', 'power grab' and 'consolidation' would be used to describe what Emperor Alexander-Francis has done.

In the Maxtopian city of Barbicon, a new college is built. It's not the first one ever, but it is by far the largest in the region.

Meanwhile in the Krähereich a wandering street preacher begins to attract a larger than usual following. Among other things, she is proclaiming the that the end of the world is near, that she is the daughter of God, and that meat is murder. Surely just a flash in the pan... surely?

Daguo's king proclaims to be the successor to the old Empire of Jenni.... nobody outside of Daguo actually takes the claim seriously but it's a credible enough claim that there is some EU4 style prestige in the matter.

393: A great procession of thousands of boats land on the western coast. They don't interact with anyone, and turn away everyone who goes to investigate. They send them back with a message; "We are from a great continent, a large distance to the west. We are here to capture your cities and add them to our great empire, Trost. Failure to comply with our demands will result in forced occupation of your cities. However, a deal can be reached. In exchange for a yearly tribute, we will allow you to remain an independent, as long as you allow us passage and praise the Glorious Sun. Please pass this message to your leaders."

394 MY: The leaders of all the nations in Maxbarri, including the Nekojimians, refused this demand. They decided to form an alliance dedicated to defending each other against the unknown empire to the west.

Meanwhile, in the Western continent, the towns had grown into a prosperous city. However, much of the continent is still unknown, despite explorations. Then, one of those cities got invaded by the unknown great empire. They easily occupied the city, using advanced tactics, as well as swarms of soldiers and war elephants to conquer it. Thousands of people died, however, some people managed to escape to Maxbarri as refugees, where they told the people that the empire is named The Great Sun Empire.

All conflict on the continent comes to a screeching haunt as The Continental United Front forms to repel the invading Sun Empire. For the first time, the entire continent is united in the one goal of repelling the unknown invader. (I’m imagining the Sun Empire is Japan?)
