Lieutenant A-KL2, a Taloan, and Viktor Kim, a human, were on duty hunting down members and clearing out their base of operations on the home base in Copernicus, Lua, Proxima Centauri. Lieutenant Viktor Kim was known for his love of flowers as he went from a Botanist to a Planetary Explorer to police officer. Viktor predicted his survival in the final incursion would be slim and thought it'd be best to leave nothing a secret in the case he was to fall in gunfire. The night before he had rose tea with Lieutenant 'Aster' one last time, the night he told her how he felt about her and how he wished they could've met in a happier setting. According to Aster, nothing more is done as they are soldiers of the Technocracy and must keep their distance.

Lieutenant Viktor Kim fell in battle carrying a rescued Taloan, Biomechanical species made in human likeness while she was halfway through being butchered by the Liberal Luddites. He was also carrying one wounded officer before being gunned down through sniper fire. Both the rescued Taloan and the wounded officer were gunned down moments later as well. Because Viktor Kim was a lab-grown human, fertilized in labs to populate the Alpha Centauri system at a rapid pace, he had no family to be willed nor does he have any surviving friends. His home was then given to Aster, who later turned it into a botanical garden in his honor, feeling that it's the closest thing to him being alive. It's now the de facto place of pilgrimage to those paying respect to the lives killed by the Humanity Front who committed genocide on Taloans and bled out humans via yanking out their cybernetics or outright murdering humans not born from a human womb and/or transgender.

The Technocracy made use of this and other tragedies caused by the Humanity Front to further demonize Liberals and Luddites, propagandizing them as the same thing, which hurt Liberal movements further and shifted public opinion from disagreement to disdain for Liberalism & Luddism. Now people see Liberalism as Luddism: "It works so well it committed genocide and killed millions! It's transphobic!" similar to how those who reject Communism would comment on its victims.

That's partially because the UK and the US were in an effective "feud" pretty much ever since 1812 when the US actually managed to win the war of that year (Point of Divergence. The Brits were too busy fighting Napoleon and counter Russian influence in Persia to fight in Canada) and take the Maritimes. This "feud" died down for the most part by 1941, but American attempts to further dominate control over the American Supercontinent (namely, their attempt to force the newly-created Kingdom of Guiana into their Continental Association, and agitating the Caribbean colonies of Britain into joining Libertalia) soured relations in the latter half of the 20th century, manifesting in the second and third Anglo-American wars in 1951-53 (Won by the US) and 1973-75 (Won by the UK), the latter of which resulted in the largest loss of civilian lives in a single operation. /skip

Americans and Russians are both blamed for the Great Mistake, the nuclear conflict that led to the collapse of the world economy and order. In Great Englland, anti-American and anti-Russian propaganda is common to find plastered on streets, signs and newspapers. Effigies of American and Russian political figures are often burnt or hanged, to vent out rage towards both nationalities.

Where the USA and USSR once existed, now exists post-war successor states such as the New Texan Republic, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Russian Republic, and others. However, these states remain distrusted if not alienated.

There wasn't much of a compliance as there is no body to force anyone into compliance. They simply weren't in the "spotlight" during the earlier stages of the Cold War, which was mostly fought between North Germany's continental Europe and Britain's thalassocracy, which means they were never in the threat of nuclear war -hence the lack of WMDs or any advance in space warfare. Britain's calculated use of its orbital platform against an American civilian zone -something that was protested heavily and nearly got the world to Global War- was pretty much what got them into developing their nukes. Imperial Soldiers largely lack individuality unless they are officers. The concept of morale upkeep is foreign to the Empire and soldiers don't expect brotherly bonds or entertainment. Despite this the suicide rate for soldiers is incredibly low. The lack of morale upkeep is maintained so that just in case a soldier should desert or vocalise anti-Empire opinions his fellow soldiers won't hesitate to execute them.

The United Federation had suffered an epidemic back in the 80s, however the epidemic has sprung up again since U.F. healthcare system is considered to be less effective and pricey. U.F. citizens were all denied entry despite the right documents because they could potentially be infected and the Ministry of Admission would not take any risks. The Ministry of Health has sent vaccines, medical treatment and formulas to the United Federation as am means to help quell the epidemic. U.F. citizens are now struggling to illegally sneak themselves into Arstotzka desperately.

In Brytain’s TL, North America is divided into the Commonwealth of Canada, USA (consisting of the Eastern Seaboard), Louisiana (consisting of the historical Louisiana territory and some more) and Mejico (Mexican Empire at its height). Mejico and Louisiana influenced China rather than the USA. Either way, however, China distrusts them and remains a political and military counterbalance to the West.

He was only joking, but he also forgot nature, especially flowers, hold a cult-like status in Terran culture. It can be seen in all forms of art, even apartment complexes for those with the lowest Social Credit score at least has a botanical garden for even the lowest citizens to enjoy some tea, hear the flow of water, and smell the flowers. Military academies are also decorated with various trees, flowers, stoneworks, ponds, and others for trainees on break. It's also mandatory that every community across the 15 light year wide Technocracy to have a public park with at least a garden of flowers, fruit trees, and fish ponds with spaces for picnics, board games, relaxation, etc. This comes from East Asia's romanticized love of nature. Administrator Nadia Elbaz corrected said Xervian leader that we're not STEMlords, we're simply a Meritocratic Council of Academic Elites of various fields (you wouldn't want a Biologist to propose solutions to Sociological problems for example). She also calmed down some of the more flower-obsessed members of the Council by explaining cultural differences between the species. He had no idea cutting down flowers was a grave offense in Terran society. The lower and upper houses of the Ecradian Assembly are based on two entirely different things. The lower house, The Unionist Assembly, is made up of elected representatives from the many industrial unions of Ecradia. On the other hand, the upper house, The Regional Assembly, is made up of representatives elected from the Ecradian states. Furthermore, the government is technically a one-party system for the sole reason of Ecradia has existed for about a year and nobody's gotten around to splitting the party yet.
