I'm now more curious of the long-term outcome of this experiment. Has it been used in non-military purposes? Made their forces more deadly?

Even though the Technocracy is, for a lack of a better word, a Fascist state, historical fascist regimes like Imperial Japan, Falangist Spain, Nazi Germany, etc are seen as "Defective". Soleos is a Fascist state purely for the preservation of the human species and an extreme stance on Progressive policies, believing evolution is the natural path humanity must take, and if we don't voluntarily adapt to changing times, then, for the preservation of our species, we will be forced to adapt.

Had a Franco, Hirohito, Hitler, or Mussolini were to stand face to face with the Technocracy's founder, Administrator Gao Shuhai, he would declare them threats to human survival. Gao does not believe in ethnic superiority, nor does he believe in racialism. He believes there's only "Defectives" and "Progressives", both camps being colorblind. His successors, while being Han Supremacists, also doesn't see a "Superior Race"; they just think Eastern Asia is the "most developed" in the late 21st century, and therefore, must "save" the rest of humanity from stagnation by forcing a socially Progressive, hyper-scientific take of Eastern culture on the world, no blood too precious. After all, the Technocracy's first victims were Asians who held backward beliefs of anti-vaxxers or anti-robotics. They then spread their "Cleansing" to other countries. To the eyes of the more racist successors of Gao Shuhai, a non-superstitious African is far superior to a Korean or Vietnamese Luddite. Race plays no role in whether or not you're Defective, in fact, the Technocracy erased such mindsets; people are aware A is darker or lighter than B, but both still see each other as Humans the same way a tan white person doesn't see themselves any different than a pale white person, both consider each other "Caucasian" in 2019.

The Technocracy also see Transphobes, Homophobes, and advocates of traditional gender roles as "Defective" and a threat to human evolution (It's evolution or extinction in the eyes of our government). After all, our species as a collective has better things to do than complain about someone taking hormones. It's better to use you in lab experiments than waste our time attempting to persuade you to stop draining people's energy whining about trans people. Contribute to our species' evolution & survival or be made useful at your life's expense.

The Technocracy is truly an inhumane dystopia. Considering its actions and history of mistreatment of other humans in such inhumane ways sets it on the same shelf as Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy and Tojo’s Japan. It is practically inexcusable in my eyes. I know I would be rendered a "defective" by the Technocracy, so I cannot in any way support it. Sometimes death is preferable to such miserable existence.

In the U.K., it is mandatory for schools to cover modern life. Students are taught about taxes, voting, civic duties, Brytish values, property and employment amongst other things in these classes.

So is there some sort of a National Agency that overviews Pornography to make sure there's no "unsafe" act? That's... on one hand, it's a brilliant idea to deal with something that is not possible to eradicate, and on the other a bit weird

When the Great War Ended, Japan simply refused to leave The Visayas (which it had occupied prior to turning coat and just hadn't left afterwards), claiming that by the principle of effective occupation and the fact there were no Dutch flags in the formerly-Spanish colonies, there was simply no proof that Visayas were not Japanese anyway. The Fact the Great Powers were in no mood to go to war with Japan when their soldiers had been battered and navies nearly broken (while Japan had only invested 250,000 soldiers throughout the war and its navy was both intact and quickly surpassing both Britain and North Germany) forced them to accept this from Japan, resulting in both a Dutch-Japanese feud and a cooling of relations between The Dutch and the members of the Pact.

In actuality, the government works with the local adult industry to produce and promote pornographic media that features performers engaging in safe sex. Most of the population is currently without Internet access and those that do are not able to access most foreign pornographic sites due to them being blocked for containing unsafe depictions of real sex (animated or simulated "soft-core" depictions are excluded). Keyloggers and other monitoring devices are installed on all computer/mobile devices in Rising Palms that allow state security to have real-time access and monitoring of all electronic communication. A state-provided browser extension allow citizens to easily flag a site for illegal content, which the state offers financial and tax reductions for the reporter depending on the severity of the content reported. Attempting to circumvent or otherwise get around government blocks may result in seizure of electronic equipment and a possible ban or suspension on purchasing or using additional equipment. The government may also threaten to release browsing history to the public, their employer, partner(s), and family members if cooperation is not obtained. The state is currently transitioning to a completely digitalized currency, which it will use to automatically block certain citizens from buying products that are not permitted to be purchased by them. This has resulted in the explosive growth of a local porn industry that produces content that is explicitly legal in the island country.

For this part, I assume that it was the Great Powers' soldiers that were battered, not Japan, right? Or are you talking about The Great Powers not fighting because they pitied Japan's state? For the latter, I am glad that common sense and compassion took over, instead of RL counterpart where some people voiced that they would see Japan get nuked more if given the opportunity. Either way, I'm glad that the war didn't break out.

The name was inspired from several characters from works of fiction, as well as actors from real life.

Exuberant - From Halo's 031 Exuberant Witness, who is on par with Clarissa when it comes to emotions.

T-1000 - Based on the shapeshifting Terminator, and also because Clarissa has this power.

Surveillant - Superintendent in French. At least, that's what I was told. Inspired by The Superintendent from Halo 3: ODST.

Clarissa - Inspired by one of Oxenfree's characters.

Alanis - Just a random names I attributed. To get a bit personal, there was this one girl that I met back in my school. I was shy, didn't know her name, but she was really friendly towards me. A friend lost to time. Don't know who she is, don't know...

Star - Of course, Star Butterfly from Star vs. The Forces of Evil.

Breya - From Schlock Mercenary's character, Breya Andreyasn.

« La Amoureux Chéri » - Roughly translates to "The Cherished Lover".

Millie - Yet another name that I found to be cool.

Taissa - Actress Taissa Farmiga.

Butterfly - 2nd part of Star vs. The Forces of Evil.

Mélody - Clarissa sings!

Coraline - Based on the character from the movie of the same name.

Jolijn - Dutch name. Kinda similar to Jolyn, I suppose.

Trini - A name that I love, again.

Clementine - Inspired by the character from The Walking Dead game. I can't link the game because the URL has a bracket!

Hollie - Derivative of Holly. I might have put this because she loves nature.

Harumi - A Japanese name that I found interesting.

That’s certainly a wide range of names and diverse origins. I was reminded of Clementine, 031 and other characters when I saw the names. In all honesty, the heinously lengthy names are sometimes an irritation, but you shouldn’t be discouraged by that. I get by just by reading the first two/three names and skipping the rest.

Anyway, like I said, that’s such a diverse range of names. Kudos for the originality, though, lol!

In Elysea, many clothing and fashion businesses are experimenting with androgynous and gender neutral clothing and eliminating the distinction between "menswear" and "womenswear." However, most of these clothing ranges are usually most similar to menswear.

President Autumn, when asked about her opinion on androgynous clothing, said those sorts of lines are what she wears most.

Ohh yeah, don't worry, I get it too. I myself can't be arsed to remember my characters' names.

But thanks for the encouragement. ^^

I'm doing this thing where the names align with the opinions, like that's how I roll now. Can be difficult to pull off, and you won't see it due to font differences, but it fits for me.

That's alright, I guess. Women still look good with men's clothes, though the same isn't true vice versa.

To this end, its leader, Heavenly Emperor Cheonsa doesn't subjugate his counterparts from other universes that doesn't share his ideological views, but leaves them be. Those that are close enough, though, are invited to form a League of Angels, whose members are either good enough to take up responsibility for any and all interuniversal threats, or are safe enough to work with. A rather altruistic plan to benefit everyone. Personally, it sounds fine though I'm not a fan of the title "Heavenly Emperor".

Despite that, I find this information good and interesting; specifically in terms of the "League of Angels".

Within the main legislative body, the Council of Democrats, of the Supranational Union there exists a split among the large, ruling party referred to as the Democratic Workers Party with a total of 2115/3309 seats and the smaller collective of parties referred to as the "United Front" with a total of 1185/3309 seats.

Among the United Front exists a few minor parties which pertain mostly to regional issues. The main parties of focus include the following:

Other smaller parties exist as well that pertain to smaller national minorities within the SUSR, specifically those of Iceland, Taiwan, and Alaska.

Alpes a Septentrionalis is the actual name of the nation. the imperium part is the type of government with there at one point being a kingdom and a self-proclaimed republic. The republic lasted for 27 years during the alpine civil war and elected 3 presidents but near the end of the civil war, it transformed into a military junta. The republic was in the eastern part of the country and that is where most republican sentiment is held today.

It is a society that does not warrant saving. At least some republican sentiments remain, anyway. It shows the there’s a chance for France to redeem itself.

Similar to Japan, the United States practices Male-preference primogeniture. The law stipulates that only legitimate male descendants in the male line can be monarchs, allowing the sons of women to inherit, but not women themselves. The dynast's sons and their lines of descent all come before that dynast's daughters and their lines. In short, the law accords succession to the throne to a female member of a dynasty if and only if she has no living brothers and no deceased brothers who left surviving male legitimate descendants

Pretty big age gap between that of Hartmann and Bülow. Though besides that, he seems like a conflicting guy where he has some good things and some bad things, and then finally loses it in the end after the stress finally gets to him.

Her predecessor, Vladimir Salas, was accused of multiple crimes pertaining to corruption, war crimes, and human rights violations since the start of the third world war.

I'm curious what these 'war crimes' are. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes it's just for the sake of cruelty. I'm also interested in knowing what "Neo-Socialism" is compared to 21st century.

Even though it's impossible for different species to interbreed (If we can't procreate with our closest relatives, then a species from a far-away solar system makes less sense), there is an intermarriage between a Human male and a Xervian. Human & Taloan (Biomechanical beings made in human likeness) marriages aren't uncommon, however.

Vil'reeu was a Xervian security guard slaving her life away to pay off a debt. Since Xervians are a hyper capitalist society, you're either wealthy or working to pay off an eternal financial burden that'll be passed on to your surviving family members (who are also unlikely to pay it off, so it keeps getting passed down). A Human Taoist took advantage of the migration treaty between Xervia and Soleos and traveled to alien civilization to observe foreign lands. When he saw Vil'reeu on the verge of tears that she is behind on her debt payment, putting her close to being brain shelved, said Taoist, named Pham Yong-Sun (Yong-Sun Pham in Western naming), took pity on her and paid off the debt of Vil'reeu and the 20 workers who are the least efficient, from having their brains stored in a room to power their computers and energy; the brain, being conscious but lacking any of the five senses, is a fate worse than death.

The 20 Xervians converted to the human faith of Taoism (unlike Western religions, Taoism/Confucianism/Moism is adaptive to social changes throughout time) as it's a faith that 'saved' them, and it's not an anthrocentric religion making it easier for Xenoforms to understand, as Taoism is the belief that the Natural Order of things is just the way things are, but also preaches humble kindness and compassion. Vil'reeu, like the other 20 Xervians, grew up in a very capitalist society and thus felt like they 'owe' Mr. Pham, much to his refusal to accept any form of repayment, having more volunteers raise orphans is a lot of help though. Mr. Pham then got 21 Xervians converted from Visa carriers to naturalized Solis citizens.

Eventually, Vil'reeu and Pham bonded romantically which caused a huge sensation in the Technocracy and Xervia, as both are of different species and no way can they make it work. They don't really need children as Mr. Pham runs an orphanage in Hai Phong, who now have taken children of deceased, but indebted Xervians into their care. Vil'reeu is also the point of contact between the two nations as she learned to speak New Terran Sign Language, her pronunciation of Singlish (New Terran) proved difficult. Mr. Pham is also known as a political activist, urging the Technocracy to do something about the indenture servitude based economy of Xervia.

1) The crimes of the Salas era mostly pertain to the events of the third world war, also referred to as the "war of one-upmanships" between the United Nations and Supranational Union. Other crimes refer to Salas' treatment of the newly joined member of Alaska and its people.

2) Neo-Socialism vs 21st Century Socialism: The main difference between the two pertains to the role of the market and how much the state should be involved in the process. Proponents of 21st Century Socialism are far closer in ideology to socialist hardliners while Neo-Socialists drift closer to a combination of Social Democracy and Neo-Liberalism. (Though if you ask an American leftist they will refer to them as if they were the same thing)

According to the Sicanarian constitution, the office of Visionary is unique to Augusta Invicta. After her death, the head of government and head of state is to be the Dominus (male)/Domina (female).

The Dominus/Domina nominates a successor, who must be approved by the Grand Commitee, formed by the secretary-generals of the branches of government, by absolute majority. This approval must be renewed every ten years; if a candidate fails to gain the majority of votes, the Dominus must designate a new successor until one passes the approval process.

The designated successor is to take office immediately after the death of the current Dominus. The office is a life-time appointment, although, the Grand Commitee can remove a Dominus from office by an unanimous vote of no confidence, whereupon they must designate a new Dominus.

The position of Dominus is currently held by Augusta Invicta's right-hand man Carolus Consalvus. As the Visionary is still alive, he is subordinate to her and cannot designate a successor, although he still holds great authority and is authorised to act as head of government in her absense. I’m not at all surprised. Walkerfort is an inhumane and totalitarian nation, with a disgraceful excuse for a leader. It’s nothing more than the playground of a fascistic fiend.

When speaking to elves or delivering speeches in elf-majority areas, the Grand Prince speaks solely in Elvish. This isn’t an issue, as most citizens speak both elvish and English.

I don't think that's a good idea. It creates a bifurcation and a clearly-drawn cultural line that -in real life- would only result in trouble.

When the Great War Ended, Japan and the Dutch Empire fell into a crisis. Originally, Japan had joined the war, obeying the treaties it had signed in the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, and had helped the Alliance win multiple strategic battles, especially in Kaiser-Wilhelmsland and French Indochine. During this war, they quickly occupied Dutch Philippines and was on its way to take over Dutch East Indies as well. By 1910, the Dutch had liberated Mindanao and were on their way to take back Visayas as well, but at that time, a Chinese attack on Fujian, a Japanese Colony, and then the refusal of the Alliance to condemn this action done by one member of the Alliance to the other, forced the Japanese to break their Anglo-Japanese Alliance, sign a treaty with North Germany, and join in against them. When the Great War Ended, Japan simply refused to leave The Visayas (which it had occupied prior to turning coat and just hadn't left afterwards), claiming that by the principle of effective occupation and the fact there were no Dutch flags in the formerly-Spanish colonies, there was simply no proof that Visayas were not Japanese anyway. The Fact the Great Powers were in no mood to go to war with Japan when their soldiers had been battered and navies nearly broken (while Japan had only invested 250,000 soldiers throughout the war and its navy was both intact and quickly surpassing both Britain and North Germany) forced them to accept this from Japan, resulting in both a Dutch-Japanese feud and a cooling of relations between The Dutch and the members of the Pact.
