1. Thailand is in Southeast Asia, not East Asia.
2. As Disney has shown, everything is better with princesses! No seriously, monarchies are cool.
3. Too bad only few are absolute though, democracy leads to corruption.

In the 31st century, Amenria no longer exists as a nation. Rather, it's considered the predecessor to the Emirate of Earth, due to much of Earth's culture being more sinocized by each decade and Amenria beginning the trend of honest, benevolent, governments in the postmodern age. Also, the Emir of Earth, a man known as Arcangel, is a distant descendant of Tianshi.

Arcangel is more saintly/priest-like than Tianshi, despite being a human-alien hybrid instead of a true Celestial. Unlike Tianshi, who has a bold, buddy-buddy attitude, Arcangel is gentle and soft spoken. Both are equally good and theocratic though.

Another difference between the two are their abilities. Tianshi is more of an artist, while Arcangel is more of a scientist. Tianshi is a natural pyromancer, while Arcangel's natural powers are electricity-based.

I'm intrigued that Sinic culture can survive for that long without globalism eventually forcing it to merge, mix, and match. Then again, I try to avoid going too far into the future.

Even though Japan and Thailand technically broke a military pact consisting of France, Borgovia, Brazil, the rest of South America, China, Vietnam, and of course, Japan & Thailand, the alliance is still active to this day albeit it expanded and included more member states.

The alliance was very unstable from the start. China, Empire of Vietnam, and Imperial Japan barely kept together because of Borgovian and French influence. The Japanese quickly took over Korea and brought the alliance to back them against the Russian Empire fearing an expanding Japan. Vietnam and France were literally on the verge of a conflict had Borgovia not intervened and got the Saigon Compromise where France gets Saigon as a port city but in exchange France must share military technology with Vietnam (which was later used to conquer the Laotians and Cambodians under the Vietnamese Emperor). Vietnam and Japan mutually have their eyes on China and China historically see them both as nothing more but vassal states. It's bound to break apart at any time and the only reason why it even existed was because Borgovia views France as the one true superpower to dominate the world, and Britain has way too much influence in Asia. But Borgovia also knows France isn't as good as Britain at managing their colonies (compare former British and French colonies today, see how well they fared) so to prevent France from outright destroying their holdings in Asia, and thus opening the floodgates for further British domination, it instead sacrificed African lives to ensure the Pacific becomes a shield to keep Britain away from Borgovian maritime interests, and has sunk a large sum of finances to keep this Pacific Shield intact with Asian empires that want nothing more but to kill each other, but are unified by their collective distrust of the British Empire and fondness of Borgovian brown-nosing (after all, Sinic people are an "Equal" to the Greco-Roman master race). So, most of it was a choice of- 'We know we can't hold everything, so what's the most valuable?'. Damn, that's actually hard for an alliance to make happen- And typically hard to properly understand. And despite how unstable the alliance is, it's interesting to see how well it developed into something quite spectacular- Even if I do wonder what a full on war between the French and the Brits in the colonial era would have looked like, with all these changes...

Naval Acquisitions Officer Federive Gezzan, born in 1880... Is a rather interesting character within Uvoanian naval history. Fighting for the Rebellion during the Rebellion, he would be appointed to manage the naval acquisitions of the Uvoanian Navy, from 1916 to 1930, when he ultimately died, following an assassination.

He is primarily known for being... Rather oblivious, as far as naval acquisitions go, and being near inept when it came to actually managing the naval budget, against the ships the navy wanted. Nowhere is this more obvious, than the so-called 'Federive Design Bureau', a design board which would exist from 1924, to 1930.

Since 1916, Federive failed to understand why the navy repeatedly asked for larger and larger ships, and ultimately ended up saying- "Give the me the Pantheon damned largest battleship you want, and I'll get it built!" The naval design board designed to humor him, and presented the Standard-6. A monstrous, 90,000 ton displacement, capable of making 24 knots in theory. It's primary gun battery was 16x 20" guns, supplemented with over 15 inches of broadside armor at it's thinnest, and 25 inches at it's thickest, this single class of ship likely would have changed what many people considered a 'super-battleship'.

For Federive, it still wasn't a big enough battleship, which is where one of his most famous quotes- Said in the presence of Zkto' Zovban should note, comes from- "A proper BB should be 150,000 to 200,000 tons, manage 35 to 40 knots, and be unsinkable." One can see where his absolute inability to see the situation as it should be comes from. He, without permission, would establish the 'Federive Design Bureau', in 1924. The FDB would go onto produce a few classes of so-called 'Maximum Battleships'. Let us just focus on one of these, so we can get an idea of the insanity they would be.

The FDB-8 was planned to be a 200,000 ton monster battleship. It's belt armor would have been 40" - 1016 MMs, with a deck of 16" - 406 MMs. It's armament was planned to be a set of 6x6 35" (889MM) guns, supplemented by a secondary wing armament of 12x3 16" (406MM) guns, a tertiary armament of 48x2 8" (203MM) guns, a quaternary baterry of 96x2 4" (102 MM) guns, and a quinary battery of 96x2 3" (76.2 MM) guns. This was planned to be complemented with a total of 960x4 40MM Bofors, a torpedo tube array of 25x6 35" (889MM) tubes, and a variety of anti-sub weapons (Which were never fleshed out, before the FDB was dissolved.). To complement all this? It was intended for a top speed of 37.3 Knots, powered by an array of 24x 1,200 PSI Steam-Boilers, driving 8 shafts.

Fortunately, all his designs were quickly shot down, discarded, and ultimately abandoned when he died in 1930. However, his influence on Uvoanian ship design did sneak its way into ships from the 1930s onward, and he is often blamed whenever a Uvoanian battleship weighs in at over 75,000 tons displacement.

With that said, also reminds me of Charles Babbage and his Analytical Machine. Dude fought with everyone he worked with, and is also an insatiable person all-around.

My eyes have completely ceased functioning upon reading that. That is both impressive and alarming.

Research Marshal Wlylas, or Zen, doesn't show up very often in Ignis for a variety of reasons. Number 1, his main job is far more important and goes universes beyond what the Ignis could ever hope for.
Number Two is a bit more of a...well, personal reason. He rarely shows up due to his distaste for the anti-homosexuality laws, primarily because he's married to a dude. So he doesn't exactly feel like putting up with whatever consequences the Ignisian government tries to put on him for it. So....he just never lets them know.
The rest mostly deals with boredom and doing his own projects.

Honestly I don't know why he'd ever work in support of any organization with laws against his very nature, but I suppose there are lots of things I don't understand.

While one out of every 3 states in our world is a monarchy (42 countries), only four are Absolute monarchies: The Hashemite and the Saudi Kingdoms in the Middle East, Thailand in East Asia, and Albania in the Balkans. Bulgaria was also functionally an absolute monarchy until the Thaw of 1997 when, under threat of a violent socialist revolution (and fearing for an incursion by either Romania, Turkey, Greece, or Yugoslavia while in the process) the Bulgarian Tsar allowed the formation of a democratic and completely independent legislature (which had been under his own control and de facto an advisory council until then). Despite all thoughts to the contrary, the Tsardom of Russia has not been an absolute monarchy, not that its last string of Tsars and Tsarinas didn't wish otherwise.

My, that's a world where democracy hasn't progressed as much. I mean, deep down, corrupt 'democracies' and absolute monarchies are the same. I just hope the world continues on a road towards democratization, though, even if the vast majority of the monarchies in NGR's timeline are constitutional.

President Artemia's leadership not only has Inkopolitia divided, as half of the nation supports her leadership while the other half wants to see her leadership ended, it also has the nations of Earth polarized. Some of the world's right-leaning leaders, including the ones in Poland, Czechoslovakia, Spain, Mexico and Canada, have thorougly congratulated President Artemia's leadership, seeing it as one of economic prosperity and protection of Inkopolitia's national identity against the Communist threat.

Other left-leaning world leaders, such as Rafael Chávez of East Venezuela, Xi Jinping of China and Martin Norisiya of Russia, have actively condemned Artemia's leadership, accusing her of 'dissapearing' Inkopolitia's communist population.

Indeed, Artemia's leadership has seen the eradication of corruption and crime within Inkopolitia and massive economic and military growth that have turned the country into a power on the leagues of the Union of Democratic Republics, the United States and China, but has also authorized for massive displacement against the Human tribes present in Inkopolitia in order to 'urbanize the nation', and has also seen violent repression of communists across the country.

The Cold War world looks like this* with Blue being the US-Borgovian-UK-French allies, Red being the Soviet-Chinese-Derg alliance. Since Ethiopia was an African power (only one with fire arms during colonial era, and before turning communist, was heavily funded by Borgovia because 'Aksumites were around when Romans were around'), the Civil War with Derg victory did destroyed most of Ethiopia's geopolitical power and the loss of Borgovian funding hurt it even worse. Despite such, the Socialist Republic of Ethiopia (which still owns Eritrea) under the 'Derg Party' is among Africa's top players before the US-Borgovian backed Nigeria rose up to become the economic and military juggernaut on the continent with Morocco, Tunisia, South Africa, and Egypt being the more developed nations until 1997, years after the Cold War ended did Nigeria became more than Africa's most powerful military: It also became the most powerful African economy.

The Green countries are neutral, although Yugoslavia is a unique case. It is technically neutral, signing no formal alliances, but it cooperates with Borgovia on many occasions, forged trade agreements with the EU and South America, and their soldiers played war games with the West since Yugoslavia see the USSR as a bigger threat than the USA to its interests. It's essentially Taiwan to the USA IRL. The Congo and Iran split into the pro-US and pro-Soviet sphere.

Vietnam, Thailand, and South Korea are basically Nazi Germany without the racism, which is still scary in its own right. While they receive massive investments given their strategic location against China, most of the money goes to infrastructure and military industry. Their economy has a lack of a consumer base as they're very "Prussian": "you only buy food and clothes, the rest must go to ensure our neighbours don't kill us" and so boost millions of able-bodied soldiers, children were taught to view Russians, Laotians, Burmese, Cambodians, and Chinese as animals to be hunted, and a very dictatorial government (S. Korea and Vietnam Presidential Dictatorships, Thailand Absolute Monarchy) whose entire media is centred around Naziesque patriotism, a worship of all things America & Militarism ("We must do our part as they've done theirs!"), and a very aggressive view on nuclear energy: All three countries harassed French, British, American, and Borgovian leaders to share nuclear technologies with them and are relentless over it out of fear their dictators back home may execute them for failing to "defend the motherland against the Reds". Of course, having rabidly anti-communist leaders whose view of Communists is literally comparable to how Imperial Japan view Koreans or how Nazis view Jews and Gypsies own nuclear weapons isn't a smart idea. It wasn't until the 80s when those three countries became democratic and their dictators trialed for Crimes Against Humanity. Vietnam alone murdered 843,129 of its people over suspicion of communist sympathy, S. Korea executed 300,000 Communists, Thailand burn entire villages because it's easier to do so than trial every villager to find the Communist. Some anti-communists even fled Thailand to Malaysia and Singapore since the "Prussianesque Lifestyle" was too much for them and they'd rather be anti-communists living in a free democracy than in a totalitarian fascist state.

Italy was the only Axis power to not have military restrictions simply because Libya and Albania fell into Soviet sphere and a militarised Italy is needed to keep Libya from expanding Communism throughout the Mediterranean. Finland only remained neutral because it's much safer given how they're sandwiched between the pro-US countries and the Soviet Union right next door. Surprisingly, Finland did have 2 unsigned, unofficial pact: If US/Borgovian/EU forces invade Finland, ComIntern is obligated to step in. If ComIntern invades Finland, then the West and allies will rush to the rescue. Thus, it's better for Finland to stay neutral. Sweden and Switzerland are obviously neutral.

(That said, the existence of them is still nigh impossible to prove in SC's timeline). In general, there is conflict between the gods of various religions, and creatures, but SC's humans act as a weird sort of ''middle ground'' for them, appeasing them both. Gender is irrelevant in the inheritance of titles in the Ramadhan Family. That being said, the person most likely to become Tianshi's heir is the Heavenly Princess, because she's closer to being 14 than her brother (she's 9 and he's 2). However, there's still the chance of him challenging her to a battle for the throne once both are adults, though that's a right every Amenrian has.

It's too early to say which of the two will win in battle. On one hand, Hyesoo is already powerful at her age, with the ability to manipulate gravity, and her power will undoubtedly grow once she hits puberty. On the other hand, Jeonsa is the only Dragonfolk-Celestial hybrid in the world, and his parents have opposing natural Qi colours (Tianshi has natural red Qi and Park Jin Ae has natural blue Qi). Theoretically, these will make him immensely strong, even outside of his dragon form.

Leaving the throne to a competition of might seems rather uncivilised and backwards to me. Such forms of power transferral does not belong in this time period, much less one supposedly as advanced as Amenria. Granted, Earth is dominated by Muhammadanism, so I’m admittedly not surprised.

The war, in seven years, reduced this to about 600 million, and has left the entire planet gruesomely crippled. To-day, nineteen years later, there are still places once bustling that are now completely devoid of all sentient life. Nature has reclaimed battlefields and old rubble towns, creating odd scenes of abandoned weapons tangled in plants and old village huts fused with trees. It's real quiet out there...

Bulgaria was also functionally an absolute monarchy until the Thaw of 1997 when, under threat of a violent socialist revolution (and fearing for an incursion by either Romania, Turkey, Greece, or Yugoslavia while in the process) the Bulgarian Tsar allowed the formation of a democratic and completely independent legislature (which had been under his own control and de facto an advisory council until then). Despite all thoughts to the contrary, the Tsardom of Russia has not been an absolute monarchy, not that its last string of Tsars and Tsarinas didn't wish otherwise.

Their factbook is detailed with a great amount and variety of information and it looks like the world has changed in some interesting ways. Their foreign relations appear fairly widespread and the world map has many countries.

Let's just say, other men in government don't like giving up too much power to someone. So, absolute monarchies are pretty rare. And even most masterful of intrigue webweavers can find it hard to get absolute power. This is the reason for why absolute monarchies are rare.

OOC one: Skyhooked is a weird thingy based off different universes, some of which may appear strange. It's inspired and has elements of Fallout, Wasteland 2, Tropico, some things from Mad Max, GTA, Saints Row, Bioshock and Arborea from Planescape setting. And some otehr things too. And it's a lighthearted flawed utopia, where while it's a pretty decent place to live, it still has some problems. (Closer to utopia than dystopia)

It is rumoured that Alicia has at least one terror trooper under her bed, stock still and silent. This is because in the mornings when Alicia is awoken, the terror trooper is often awoken by its intruder senses and emits a light growl.
