The only reason New Nassau wasn't completely integrated into the British Empire was because the Janke States General approved of a full occupation of the colony the moment the Louisiana War extended its reach to Europe. New Netherland moved 15,000 troops and 87 artillery pieces into the original territory of New Nassau (which is in our timeline the State of Maryland), while leaving the territory ceded to New Nassau during the 2nd Anglo-Dutch war alone. New Nassau was administered as an independent state but under government of New Netherland for the next few decades, but was one of the first states to be created during the decolonization of the American Continent.

Hmm, that's quite a good strategy. I mean, I don't claim to know too much about military strategy, but that seems like a good move to get a territory that would help New Netherland later in the war. Also that's like 172 people per artillery piece, so.... you could technically have 172 people manning one artillery, though inefficient at that point. :P

Or if 6 people manning the artillery, the rest of the 166 people could surround each artillery like a human wall, letting the artillery do its job while a crapton of infantry protect them.

That's a nice thing to aspire to, Mr Rogers really helped a lot of kids in his past.

Though the Imperial Military now recruits humans into their military instead of only using clones, there is one division left that is composed entirely of clones, this is the 501st legion. The 501st legion was formed during the clone wars to fight against the Separatist Alliance, they were notable for their many victories and having the most kills, they were eventually reorganized when the Galactic Empire was formed to be Darth Vader's personal legion of clones, they are still much more formidable than the average Stormtrooper.
"Do or do not, there is no try."-Master Yoda

We are the New Galactic Republic. After the death of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader, the New Republic was formed to unite the galaxy under democratic rule and to also establish freedom and peace, the protectors of the New Republic are the Jedi Order, they are lead by Grand Master Luke Skywalker, the most powerful force user in the galaxy. It should be known that we aren't based on the new Star Wars trilogy, we follow the Expanded Universe lore.

We don't use NS-stats, it would be unusual considering the franchise we are based on.

After all, regular soldiers may join the rebels or enemies, and that must be quickly put under control, because if it's not, soldeirs may share their weapons, technologies and even intel with hostile forces, thus making all the crisis far worse.

Because total anarchy would make Skyhooked divided between warring warlords and thus weaker, after revolution, a small pseudogovernment was established to consolidate all the factions and coordinate their efforts in welfare for all it's people. Ok, two points. Anarchy doesn't mean the lack of a government. It means the lack of state. And second, Free Healthcare, roads, etc. literally requires large-ass budgets. No anarchist -or even libertarian- government can get funds that large.

The International Settlement in Shanghai was reformed into the Free International City of Shanghai in the thirty-seventh article of the Final Act of the Peace Conference of Potsdam (aka Treaty of Potsdam) that ended the second Great War by giving the city (which until that point had de facto been under joint administration of the main "share-holders" of the city's settlements) full independence. China tried to annex the city three times, and each of these times a coalition of the seven Great Powers moved their navies to the Yellow Sea.

Sounds like the way the West dealt with the Boxer Rebellion on steroids. Obviously quite a valuable city, with lots of important people.

One easy way to get rich in Rezmaeristan is to open up a knock-off fast food restaurant. Foreign businesses are only allowed in international train stations, airports, waterports, etc. and consular zones; however, many Rezmaeris know about foreign fast food restaurants from movies and travel. This is risky, because you might get sued by someone making a knockoff of the same restaurant; just ask Shana Ikapuvar, founder of Mek-Danul, who got sued by Hamid Pulwan; Pulwan accused Ikapuvar of ripping off his restaurant chain, Ma'ik-Dinalz(which of course, were both knockoffs of McDonald's)

Well, if it works, it works I suppose. Does seem very risky, though... I wonder how the actual international chains feel about the scenario.

The Advanced Steam Project, ASP, was a Uvoanian Governmental Railways effort to remove a dependency on foreign oil imports for the railroads of Uvoan. Due to the countries vast, natural, coal reserves. Intended to visually mirror existing locomotive designs, the ASP was designed to be a revolution in steam-based engineering. Taking use of the fact coal is far cheaper than diesel fuel, the ASP-1000 is designed to be a unit capable of punching far above it's weight.
Designed in a cab-forward setup, a Belpaire firebox, and a 4-4-4-4 notation, the ASP is already a very unusual design. Having been created with a very unique addition for a steam locomotive, a central crank-shaft designed to synchronize operations between high and low-pressure cylinders. The usage of a Belpaire firebox also increases the steaming of the locomotive, allowing more steam to be available with smaller water and coal usage. Through the use of foreign-bought microprocessor technology, the engineer can control and monitor fire stoking, water usage, and allow multiple units to be run as one set, including diesel and other ASP units, through usage of an 8 notch throttle, all from the comfort of his own seat. This offers a huge advantage over conventional steam locomotives, by removing the Fireman from the setup, reducing labor costs. With a boiler pressure rated at 300 PSI (2068.43 KiloPascals), the ASP was designed to run at a maximum speed of 90 MPH (145 KPH), but at an average speed of 60-65 MPH (97-104 KPH). Since the steam is in a looped-condensing system, a turbine-driven fan was added to draught the fire, which, incidentally, eliminated the "chuffing" sound steam locomotives were know for.

Microchip processors are also used to control anti-wheelslip systems, for maximum low-speed tractive effort power. Known as "Controlled slip", this is a series of fast-acting electronically actuated cylinder drain cocks which provide instantaneous relief of cylinder pressure for control of undesirable wheel slip. Also used, is a kind of "Dynamic braking" is provided by counter-pressure brake principals, in which cylinders are used to provide engine braking, allowing for faster stops. With additional 'non-listed' bogies on the Support Unit, the ASP-1000 is also capable of touching off with the ease of a modern diesel.

The ASP-1000 is designed to be easy to maintain, despite being covered in a streamlined cowl. The cowl, designed to be easy to remove, and being fitted with pneumatic jacks, could be removed without the usage of a crane for repairs. Designed to be easy to repair aswell, the ASP-1000 offers modularization standard, which means that repairs are as easy as removing the cover, removing the damaged module, and then replacing it. For coal and water storage, an integrated 'Support Unit' is offered, which fits 4 'packets' of 24 tons of coal each, allowing for a total of about 4,360 miles, at maximum effort and power. Through usage of condensers, superheating, and a large water tank, water capacity is good for about 4,360 miles at maximum effort. This heavily cuts down on the need for water and coaling stations, and also allows the UGR more time to treat water to improve efficiency of it.

One of the major concerns of steam based power, pollution, is also countered through the usage of Electrostatic Precipitators. Electrostatic precipitators can remove more than 99% of particulates from the flue gas. The system works by creating an electrical field to create a charge on particles which are then attracted by collection plates. This means that this coal, is actually cleaner than most diesel fuels. To deal with ash handling, the system collects it into 7.5 ton bins, which can be emptied with water flushing, or removed and placed onto flatbeds for easy transport to proper facilities.

With a thermal efficiency of about 25-30%, an incredible increase over conventional steam based designs, the ASP-1000 puts it's slugging weight into the ring with many modern diesels, capable of laying down a tractive effort of nearly 175,000 LBs, it can also pull with the best of the best. With the locomotive itself coming in at 57 feet (17.4 Meters) long, and the supporting unit at 65 feet (19.8 Meters), the total length of the unit is ‭122‬ feet (37.2 Meters). Capable of navigating turns up to 20 degrees, it is also a fairly reliable unit for the UGR.

By the year 1967, an estimate 5,700 of these units were built for domestic use, and another 15,000 exported to foreign countries, making it one of the most successful locomotives classes in history.

What an unusual design, we may have to purchase one ourselves, for the novelty at least.

There is a very popular conspiracy theory that the Blanji Government was behind the 1986 Brussels Square Massacre. The theory goes that due to the rising strength of the radical pro-french terrorist organization “Armée De Libération Française“ (FLA), the increasing demand for military intervention in Northern French lead to Prime Oligarch Jean-Paul de Vogne organizing a controlled incident to justify said intervention. The first thing he did was pay the Oligarch of Brussels to restrict essential services to members of the now-defunct Workers’ Union Party (ideology: extreme left, anarcho-communism), which would attract the FLA to the region. Meanwhile, SOA (Strategic Operations Agency) agents infiltrated and routed the next FLA attack to Brussels.

In the city itself, experienced police (or otherwise deemed too competent at their job) were given paid vacation or transferred to other cities, while new, inexperienced officers hired and purposefully inadequately trained. Once word got out about Brussels’ new policy, the FLA immediately took the bait, and began protesting in the city. Finally, on August 5, the protests devolved into riots, encompassing the Brussels Square region. On August 7, police lost control of the situation as both Workers’ Union protestors and FLA rioters became indistinguishable, and violent towards police. The mix of inexperienced officers and the intentionally incited riot rapidly devolved into the bloodiest incident in Blanji history.

In recent years, the theory has become increasingly popular due to Swadenian agents uncovering the SOA and revealing it to the world, and the seeming lack of documentation by the Blanji Government regarding the incident, and even worse so the fact that video recording of the incident shows certain protestors (assumed SOA agents) evacuated the region the moment the police gave the order to open fire.

Critics of the theory cite the fact that all branches of the Blanji Government already approved of intervention and a bill mandating the action was already in the midst of legislation. Furthermore, there was no documentation whatsoever supporting that the deal between the two oligarchs ever took place. The anomaly with the police rotation can be refuted by the fact that August is holiday season in Blanjiland, and new recruits were hired to temporarily fill the position until the month was over, which happens yearly.

Whether or not the theory is true may never be revealed.

Opinion: Huh, if the conspiracy theorists are right on this one, then it is a pretty cynical move from government's side. Although, what else to expect from an ultra-capitalist oligarchy... Also, that gives me vibes of Tiananmen massacre.

*SC's Historian takes a cup of ''Victory Gin'' in a vault*

''Situation in SC's Balkans before SC's collapse was pretty heated to say the least - recently, European Federation, and Middle East Commonwealth had went to war over the last remaining natural resources, and those, which SC's Europe managed to grab, quickly ran out both during the war, and afterwards, as unlike in North America, there were major exchanges with missiles, and even some nuclear weapons, as nuclear spears rained upon several cities during the conflict, and while European Federation had enough weapons to make the Middle East Commonwealth collapse, Europe itself was hurt badly by rockets, and bombers as well, along with submarines, and it was soon forced to abandon its occupied territories in Middle East, as resources became too overstretched. Shortly after that, a new state emerged in territory of Western Anatolia - Turkish State, which claimed itself as successor to Middle East Commonwealth, as most of other nations in Middle East Commonwealth's former territory were too small, or tribal societies, after the collapse of various governments there. New region disputes between each other started, and old conflicts re-ignited, as SC's Britain - the leader of SC's Europe, failed to address the all issues of regions. Balkans were a particularly dangerous powderkeg, as each governor blamed other's people for failures in their front sectors during the Resource Wars. Situation was so bad back then, that some divisions had to fight separated from each other, in order to avoid infighting - Croat divisions were dislocated in Anatolia, but Serbian - in Caucasus. Another bloodshed was just a matter of time...''

''After SC's collapse, many states broke free of the Balkan Commonwealth, and sought to develop their own destiny. However, in SC's Serbia, a country, called Nationalist Yugoslavia, was proclaimed by veteran generals of SC's Serbian divisions, and proclaimed ''Yugoslav reunification'' as their main goal, although they only controlled Serbia, Montenegro, Republic Srpska, and other Serbian inhabited parts of Balkans. After some time, Nationalist Yugoslavia declared war to Second Independent State of Croatia, and Slovene State as a first step of the unification. However, during the Yugoslav Wars, Serbian leadership faced many issues - both external, and internal. During the conflict, Nationalist Yugoslavia's leader was afraid, that Hungary could claim parts of northern Serbia, and during the conflict, Bulgaria demanded Serbian parts of Macedonia. As Nationalist Yugoslavia's military didn't want to fight a two front war, territory was given up, but with intent of reclaiming it later on. Before the war, Tom had stocked various energy weapons like Q-35 matter modulators, and Gauss riffles in SC's Balkans, along with vertibirds, and PMT Sherman tanks, so both sides had a wide access to weaponry. However, there was still a deficit of them during the war, so Yugoslavia tried to shift the power of nuclear energy from producing energy for civilian needs to producing nuclear energy for microfusion cells, in order to supply its laser weapons. When it started to run in microfusion cell deficit once again, some of its division used old AK-47 modifications with lead rounds instead. Same applied for tanks - when energy necessary for powering the newer generation tanks and aircrafts ran out, Yugoslavia switched to old Empire's MiG-35, and T-14 Armata tanks. (SC's breakup happened in late 21st/early 22nd century, so those would be outdated by then) Even before the collapse, units like Chetniks were used as a police, as they had been around ever since Balkans were still ruled by Empire, and SC's Serbian army hadn't got enough equipment for all of its units, but during the Yugoslav Wars, they often actively participated in warfare, and covered front sectors, in which situation was the most critical. There were also plenty of ''weekend soldiers'' - civilians, who worked behind the lines during work days, but went to the front in weekends. (Although later on, the amount of them decreased, as Nationalist Yugoslavian army started to conscript them for full time service) It could be said, that army's leadership desperately used any measure to win the war.''

''Some of the Western European power armor units stationed in Balkan Commonwealth had been trapped there after SC's collapse, and couldn't return home. Most of them were convinced to join Yugoslavia's side by vague promises of bringing ''peace and unity'' to the region. SC's Britain, along with Tom would normally intervene in such cases, but as European Federation had collapsed at that point, Yugoslavia, and Croatia were mostly left on their own, despite both sides requesting more aid, as situation in Europe had turned into basically ''free for all'' battle mode. So, both sides weren't particularly merciful against each other, fueled by ideological radicalism as well, due of them both being ruled by radical regional branches of the former Party (like Ustaše, for an example), and there were cases of Yugoslavian army using chemical weapons often. Croatian, and Slovenian side also had got leftovers from some of SC's more advanced weapons, like Gatling lasers, and arc welders, so each side had technological parity in a way. Overall, war lasted for about three years, even after Croatia's surrender, as most of the remaining troops in the north refused to lay down their arms, and continued to fight alongside Slovenian troops. Although it managed to seize Istria peninsula, and a few northern parts of Croatia, Slovenian State still got overwhelmed by Serbian troops, and at the end of the week, they had already arrived in Slovenia's territory. After the end of the war, former Serbian region President-Governor proclaimed himself as new ''Voivoda'' of Yugoslavia, meaning, that he would be both a military, and political leader of it. New state would have a focus on militarized economy, and society, along with ''Christian capitalism'', which while rejecting free market capitalism, also opposed communism, and socialism as well, and more represented moralistic corporatism, with state capitalist influences. Like most of SC's successor states after SC's collapse, it was at the very least crypto-fascist.''

''After Yugoslavian Wars had finally ended, Nationalist Yugoslavia had to rebuild its infrastructure, and recover from the war first, as it had taken its toll upon the land, as both sides had lost a lot of people, and during the war, many people also were left homeless, and in poverty. Government announced the first ''three-year plan'', which envisioned the first stages of economical recovery. (Later on, Nationalist Yugoslavia's army had to keep fighting off partisans, though) Despite that, its expansionist leadership couldn't stay in peace forever - it wanted to extend Yugoslavia's borders. Years later, Yugoslav-Albanian war would begin over the dispute of Kosovo, and as Bulgaria, and Greece joined the war too, Albania's chances to win were practically 0%, and despite putting a good fight, and inflicting considerable losses to all three armies, Yugoslavia was still victorious. At peace treaty, Yugoslavia took all of Kosovo, and Northern Albania with Catholic Christian population, while Bulgaria - the Albanian parts of Northern Macedonia, and Greece - southern Albania with Orthodox Christian population. The rest of Albania became a Yugoslavian protectorate, which was absorbed later on. Yugoslavia also launched a war against Bulgaria, and Greece, in order to expand southwards. All of Bulgaria was annexed as a part of ''Greater Yugoslavia'', along with northern parts of Greece such as Thrace (Along with western Constantinople, as it was a part of European Federation before the collapse), Macedonia, and Corfu Island, along with Greek territories taken during invasion in Albania, while the rest of Greece was declared as Yugoslavian protectorate as well. (Unlike Albania, it never got fully annexed, though), and is a concern of other neighbors like Romania, and Hungary too, due of its increasingly jingoist rhetoric.''

Sounds like something that could happen in the future, given IRL Europe (and an extent, the Middle East's) aversion to adaptation with an arrogant "STFU <historically marginalized ethnic backgrounds that's now rising on the world stage>, we know what we're doing!" mindset, believing they can power on the way they're doing forever with little regard to depleting resources.

The Technocracy actually couldn't win an all-out war against the United Nations. The only reason why the UN was defeated after a little over 2 decades of conflict is due to the following:

1. The Technocracy is a unified faction, lead by Technocrats in Beijing who are chosen purely for their academic status. Member states contribute representatives to oversee the system as well. The 'Administrator' then oversee both.

2. The UN is a disorganized, loose confederacy of sovereign nation states. Many even hate each other (Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia for example). They struggle to coordinate, strategize, and organize in the same capacity as the Technocracy. Many in the UN aren't even unified by a common belief, just purely defensive for the sake of not being slaughtered by a Sino-Indo dominated faction. In the end, the UN would go back to trying to kill each other if they had won.

3. The Technocracy massacred a little over a billion of its citizens to 'weed out the mentally deficient'. This in turn forced people to become educated and if not well educated, compliant with academia. Survivors focus more on meeting an unusually high Confucian standard of academia than being offended gay people exist, for example. A unified faction with little hindrance to scientific, social, and political progress often does better than factions that puts stopping marginalized people from having equal rights as a higher priority. Once the Technocracy won, they also wiped out billions former UN citizens to 'evolve humanity'.

4. Because the Technocracy is run by academic elites and not businessmen or politicians, Social Scientists have a lot of sway on social policies from China to Nigeria. This led to less resistance to government rule since the Technocracy would provide more to the people than a Neoliberal Capitalist approach of the UN: "We'll work you 18 hours a week for little pay so our organic gluten free dark chocolate is cheap for our Western consumers". There are workers' revolts in the UN because of this, and many have formed their own Communistic and/or even Fascist factions to resist the EU/NAFTA economic exploitation. The Technocracy face little resistance because the average civilian under their banner are cared for (not because they care, but because Sociologists know better than Physicists in how to control people).

5. The Technocracy's most prioritized concern is the deterioration of the environment and is willing to stomp on any morals that gets in its way to make sure humanity doesn't die. The UN puts it as a backseat, believing corporations (who do the most polluting) can slowly and incrementally fix the environment. The later won't do since the environment's pretty much as a life-or-death scenario. People lost homes due to climate change and all the UN can think about is 'do good' media that only wealthy civilians in First World countries support with those in developing nations suffering greatly for their overlord's amusement. The Technocracy seeks unification and global development, which is more attractive to disgruntled and/or educated Africans & Latin Americans.

In analogy, the UN is like Chiang Kai-Shek and Technocracy Mao Zedong. Mao's forces are unified in idea, leadership, and values that the people are willing to get behind with. Chiang Kai Shek's forces are a union of hostile warlords who don't cooperate very well and put their self-interest ahead of an ideological interest that would unify them. Or how the UN is the Paris Commune who failed to organize effectively against a more structured Prussian Army that marched into Paris and gunned them all down with the organization, structure, and efficiency only seen in social, cooperative, yet authoritative communities instead of more individualistic ones. Had the UN unite under one supreme leadership and look at politics from the lens of a Scientist & Sociologist instead of greedy businessmen & stagnant lawyers, they very well could've won. The Technocracy only has China as a great power while the UN has the United States, Russia, & the EU.

I'm pretty sure Nazi-like eugenics, massacres, and end justify the means politics aren't the way to go forward but you wrote it like the UN is a strawman nation of everything that is bad. Not like the organization is clean of faults.

Here's a "heartwarming" fact in this side of the wasteland:

While inter-marriage between Xenoids and humans is in fact illegal by the laws of the Codex and for practical reasons since it's harmful for both species; this doesn't stop Chapter Knights from fraternizing with the local human girls in Svalbard. Chapter Knights often hired so-called "Little Helpers" which were local women that were assigned to roles like carrying supplies, cooking, cleaning, etc. Some Knights even fell in love with them and had relationships with them behind their officers' back.

These Knights were far-away from their home in Planet Nibiru where their wives waited for them to return from self-imposed exile and they were desperate for love in the frozen wastelands of the Valley. The image of beautiful blue-eyed, blonde-haired, Norwegian girls draped in Burnad was appealing to the Xenoid Knights and Knights often made stops to local settlements to woo them during patrol. Although it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows; some couples were forcibly separated from each other when caught in the act and a few women were recruited by the EUG to spy on their Xenoid partners.

The Svalbard Chapter
Year: 2082/0082 IC | Overview | Leader | Theme Song
For many years we were locked in a bloody war with the Earth United Government. Dying and fighting as cannon fodders for a promised homeland not of our own. With morale at an all time low, we abandoned the Hyperion Remnant Fleet and headed west from Greenland to Svalbard. Countless of lives were lost, it wasn't easy going there. We'll march west from the Valley as traitors then return home as champions.
Isfjord Radio: Boy dies after playing with a land mine that resembles a colorful toy. The Chapter suspects EUG soldiers have left these land mines after their withdrawal from the island and urge the locals not to go near land mines when scavenging.

Having seen what your Xenoids look like, I've gotta ask... you guys look humanoid enough. How's the incompatibility issues about?

For two centuries, Brittany had enjoyed its position as a major trading hub and minor colonial empire free from aggression. France, its neighbor and immediate Great Power, was generally protective of this small duchy and tended to protect its interests. Franco-Breton relations were exemplar for most of the 1500s and 1600s. Thanks to this relation, Brittany had enjoyed an extensively large colonial Empire in the Americas with two possessions in the Caribbeans and Brazil that helped extensively in its wealth. This changed after the Louisiana War. New Césarée, Brittany's primary colony, extended to nearly three times its size by acquiring Castilian Florida and Nassaun Belize, and anti-Breton sentiments began rising in France. As Brittany was seen as part of the natural borders of France, calls for its annexation increased tenfold. This culminated in the Breton War of 1745, the first of the many wars of Louix XV. When the war began, the Breton government (primarily, the royal family and the council of state) moved to New Césarée which was better defensible and left Brittany to the French. The New Breton Government-in-Exile was formed in the former colony, and thus Brittany is the only country that New Netherland has relations with that is not a colony.

It's still interesting how people pretty much think this is the golden age of Europe when its politics and intrigues are no different than the Warring States era. Fascinating nonetheless.

While Borgovia & The United States never had any conflicts with each other, and historically see each other as a part of a 'twin engine' that protects the New World from European aggression, both countries do differ in many ways, and only got along slightly because they know the threat of Europe or Japan trying to exploit Latin America is a risk they're not willing to take by chest beating each other. It's what led to the Panama Treaty where The Federation of Panama splits from the Bolivian Republic (Bolivia, Colombia, and Venezuela), and the border between the two is the agreed upon sphere of influence. South of Panama is Borgovia's playground, Panama and north of it is America's. The Panama Canal will then be owned by both Borgovia and the United States as neutral ground and official border of North and South America.

However, Borgovia doesn't always comply, nor does the United States. When Fidel Castro led his revolution in Cuba, the United States made an exception to allow Borgovian and Brazilian spies to cooperate with the CIA into toppling Castro. He was later executed. When there were Communist insurgencies in Brazil, the CIA backed the Borgovian invasion of Rio de Janiero and laid waste to the Soviet-backed rebels. Tito called the event a Capitalist answer to Czechoslovakia when Soviets sent in its military to quell a Liberalization movement, Borgovia sent in troops to quell a Socialist movement. Brazil later became a Liberal Democracy. The treaty only applies when it doesn't benefit both parties.

Even when it comes to alliances, things got murky. The Borgovians see the British & Germans as subhumans since they're historically slaves to the Roman master race, and because of that, the Borgovians had a triumvirate of power with the French & Ottomans, however, in the Ottoman's case, they owe a lot of money to Borgovia so historians speculate the Ottomans were mere indentured servants to Borgovia's capitalist elites. The United States was a very Anglo-supremacist nation and ended up favoring the British. How the two got along is weird. Borgovia was also hesitant to carry on the military defense deal with the United States when Japan attacked, as Borgovia had strong ties to Japan, Spain, and Italy. Spain & Italy because "mUh RoMaN mAsTeR rAcE", Japan because "dEsCeNdAnT oF hAn ChInA".

Even the racism between both countries are different. Borgovians aren't "white supremacist", they only treat "Creators" (Greek, Latinos, Persian, Jews, Lebanese/Syrians/Iraqi/Jordanian/Kuwaiti, North African, Indian, Chinese, Ethiopian, Aztec, Mayan, Olmec, and Incan descendants) and "Civilized" (Japanese, Vietnamese, Korean, Thai, Malian, Arabs, Mongolian, Turkish, Caucus, Kurdish, and Afghan) as human beings. Everyone else are savages who are historically slaves that are too stupid to learn from the Creators, their lives are as good as you can labor them. The United States on the other hand, has an Anglo-Germanic supremacist vibe with the French being the special snowflake included. Americans in the 1800s would oppress the majority of Borgovia's "favored races" and Borgovia would oppress most of America's "favored races". Yet, they still managed to cooperate and ended up being the twin engines of the Western world, pushing Europe into the backseat.
Was once a ruthless capitalist Corporate State in South America (1800s - 1950s), but has since reformed into a Social Democratic, Federal, Parliamentary Republic whose politics is 90% of my irl views. We're Italo-Spanish-Chinese influenced and thus there's a lot of Chinese and Greco-Roman cultural references.

The world in this nation is changing for the better, current year is 2042.

Call us "Borgovia".

That seems like it would lead to an incredibly complex web of alliances- And could end up with something coming to bite one of the two 'Twin Engines' in the rear, quite hard.

The Fast Relocation Program - Or FRP,is a Uvoanian Military Program that was created due to far delayed response times in military critical situations. Intended to be capable of relocating an entire army group, 500,000 men, plus tanks, artillery, and other equipment, to any location around the world in under 24 hours. This allows the UGF to be the first to the scene of nearly any crisis, with up to 500,000 men in a single day.

The fastest, and largest, response was in April, 1975. Uvoan had been out of the war since early 1973- But in early March, Uvoan landed 1.5 million troops at an airfield which a marine strike-group took barely 8 minutes before the first transport aircraft hit the ground. In the words of the US liasons on the ground-

"It was terrifying to realize precisely how fast Uvoan mobilized. We didn't even know how many troops they had on the ground, until a full two months later. 1.5 Million, in just under seventy-two hours. That was a terrifying moment, when were told. That they had shattered all standing records- That was when we all realized. The Uvoanian Pigeon had become a Hawk."
-US Liason 'James C. Matthew' to Southern Vietnam, interviewed in 1988 for the book 'The Final Hours of Vietnam'

Uvoanian forces proceeded to reinforce the faltering Southern Vietnamese forces, and offered evacuation to anyone wishing to leave. Uvoan proceeded to evacuate an estimate 235,000 South Vietnamese, Americans, and anybody else wishing to leave. The presence of such a large hostile force, resulted in the 1975 'Staged Withdrawal', allowing anyone left within Vietnam to leave over a period of 2 months- Whereas in reality, thanks to the massive Uvoanian transport network already inplace, it took only 3-4 weeks to evacuate all personnel, leaving behind a small Uvoanian and American force, which would leave at precisely 11:59 PM, On June 19, 1975, the last non-ARVN troops within Vietnam. Saigon would fall on June 28th, 1975.

This incident set a shocking precedence around the world- Uvoan would always be there, with the heavy, judgemental, hand, ready to deliver an incredibly fast wallop. It would also pave the way for Uvoan's further ascension onto the world-stage...

Dude, that's insane. It's good to see your army modernize, but i'm kinda glad I don't have to face you. Landing 1.5 million troops in just 8 minutes is brutal.

With the Human Extinction Event of 1845 happening, and a collapse of a big part of Inkopolitia's trade partners, the Inkopolitian government was left scrambling for answers to fix this crisis. Sadly, most governments of the world essentially rejected Inkopolitia, as anti-Inkling views in other world nations were common. With this, the Economic Crisis of the '45 happened, with shortages of basic items and deaths due to hunger being common. However, this all changed in 1846, where the Inkling government started expanding aggressively towards new areas to colonize. The territory of what is known by Humans as Venezuela was vital for the recuperation of the Inkling population, as a large chunk of Inkopolitia's Western Mizumika (Western Venezuela) was able to be used as farmlands. The government inmediately began both encouraging investment in the area, and government-owned farms. This resulted in the crisis not lasting as long as economists of the time thought, with the Inkopolitian economy being back on it's feet, although autarchist, by the end of 1850. The policy of economic autarchy, while significantly reduced thanks to trade with Orora, was only completely removed with the installing of Inkling-Callaxian relations in 1972.

I have no views in the happenings of Inkopolitia... what even are Inklings?

The ecclesiastical courts in Great Nortend have a wide remit of powers. The parish vestry are commanded by the courts to report of any offences which have been committed in their parish before annual visitations by ecclesiastical judges which have not been or can not be addressed by the regular courts. These offences range from criminal, such as fornication or adultery, administrative, such as being an unlicensed midwife, failing to give notice of passed laws, or failing to pay tithes, to liturgical, such as failure to read the Offices on Sundays or failure to wear the appropriate vestments.

Crimes are presented to the court, which issues citations to command the citees' attendances. Usually, citations are delivered to the parish incumbent to personally deliver to the citee. Citations are the ecclesiastical court equivalent to a writ; however, they do not require return unlike writs which must be returned to the court after execution. Rather, the incumbent must separately certify that he has delivered the citation to the citee.

So theocracy is alive and well in your country?

Outside brackets is IC, inside brackets is explination:

As of new legislation passed yesturday, the government to provide free health care to the poor giving birth. This is to ensure that mother and baby don't die during birth. Everyone is required to go to hospital when giving birth (so we can insert microchips into the new born babies). Besides military service, this is the only time that free health care is provided by the government
Freedom Freelandia is the worst dystopia I can possibly imagine whilst being somewhat realistic. I would never, ever, ever treat real people like this in real life. That... Seems disgustingly authoritarian. Now i'm already kinda iffy on free healthcare, but inserting microchips into babies? That's a whole new level of low.

Good on them. When backed into a corner by events, aggressive actions taken decisively can turn the tide in a situation.

While the Empire practices conscription most of Imperial soldiers are volunteers.

Males are conscripted at 21 but can volunteer from 16. Men who volunteer receive greater pay and the more prestigious role of operating within a Royal Legion rather than a conscripted Division. However, volunteers serve longer than conscripts who serve 1 1/2 years. Volunteers serve 7 years. It was 12 years. But Emperor Maximus believed this too damaging to the workforce despite his economic advisory assuring him it was sustainable.

I don't condone smoking, but I don't really agree with that decision.

In the Galactic Empire, we have two force using divisions, they are the Shadow Guard and the Imperial Inquisition. The Inquisition is a group of force users trained by Darth Vader himself, they are trained to not be powerful enough to to be fully fledged sith but to primarily to hunt down any Jedi fugitives who weren't killed off during Order 66, while the Shadow Guard is an elite division of the Emperor's Royal Guard. The Shadow Guard are tasked with carrying out missions for the emperor which range from taking out potential threats to his power and Inquisitors who have gained too much power. These two divisions often clash with each other due to their rivalry, sometimes in a friendly duel and others out of hate. The Council of Moffs have been working on getting rid of this rivalry as it threatens the stability of the empire and it's operations.

Well. I suppose that's effective ways of hunting people- That inter-service rivalry might really bite though, someone might let a farm-boy slip through the cracks.

One of Uvoan's primary tourist attractions is the 'Southern Coast'. Famed for it's rough, raging, waters, and towering sea-cliffs, the 'Southern Coast' is home to dozens of shipwrecks, and settlements eking out a living, sheltered in the valleys between cliffs.

During the summer months, the peak of tourist season, tourist boats dart up and down the coast in fairly 'calm' 5-10 feet (1.5-3 Meter) tall waves. Helicopters and airplanes also do tours during this time- Weaving their way through the monstrous, 5500 foot tall sea-cliffs with all the skill of veteran combat pilots. Which many actually are.

During the winter months? This kind of travel is nearly impossible. Waves can crest from nearly 400, to 450 feet (122-137 Meters) against the towering sea-cliffs, and anything caught in these waves will inevitably be smashed against the cliffs. This makes a naval invasion of Uvoan nearly impossible, expect for a 20 mile (32 Kilometer) stretch of 'calm' waters, inbetween the two ranges of cliffs, where the Asan River flows. This is where Uvoan's only port cities, New Asan, and Expolia, are built. As such, the range of territory Uvoan has to defend costally is minuscule- As even a small mistake can destroy an entire invasion force during harsh, winter months.

Honestly, Twin Cities are awesome in a way. Two distinct personalities but right next door, the only issue is the traffic from going to B from A.

Borgovians are actually quite popular but also not quite popular in East Asian countries. They share similarities (mostly in part due to a large influx of Thai and Chinese immigrants throughout history, and are treated as human beings with property rights compared to Slavic, Central African, or Germanic immigrants) in beauty and thus, made it easier for Borgovian men and women to be seen as 'attractive'.

Even in the 1800s, Borgovia has an attitude towards men that can be summed up as this: "There are three types of men: Genetic defects, beautiful, and lazy". Skincare, exercise, healthy diets, and many more are pressured on both genders. "Skinny Fat" is severely looked down upon. you may look good in certain clothes, but the average Borgovian would only sleep with you and not consider a relationship. Why? Skinny Fat people often age very badly, and Borgovians, growing up in a highly capitalistic society, always look for "Long-term investments". Both genders are expected to be physically fit and with flawless skin, anything less than athletic, even "Average" is seen as "lazy" or, back in Borgovia's racist days, "Genetic freak". "You look German" or "you look Anglo" were insults back then as the typical Anglo or Germanic diet is very fattening, lack in nutrition, and they tend to grow to be very fat and hideous compared to the "superior" Eastern and Mediterranean peoples with diets rich in lean protein, healthy fats, and a diversity of vegetables that isn't starchy. It's also a classist insult as it's essentially saying you're too poor to have a proper skincare routine and this equate ugly people to being poor.

Fast forward into the 2040s, this attitude still stands. Even with the Corpus gone and Democracy celebrating its 90ish years in the country, the attitude that "lower" people don't have a skincare routine, don't regularly exercise, and eat a buttery/oily/sugary mess of a diet persists. So, by Eastern standards, their men are very beautiful and 'youthful' as the obsession with sun screen, moisturizers, retinol, mud masks, etc paid off. Their women 'age gracefully' because of diet and exercise. The average Borgovian Diet is very vegetable, chicken, and seafood dense. Frying their food is almost unheard of as Borgovian dishes are mostly sauteed, boiled, or steamed with various spices. Their dairy consumption is chiefly Yogurt, Italian cheeses, Raw Honey, and Dark Chocolate as the large Chinese population never made Milk consumption as popular as Soy, Coconut, or Almond milk. Fruits, Yogurt, and Nuts mixed together with melted Dark Chocolate or sprinkles of honey are often eaten as desserts. Sugary drinks often fail to make money in Borgovia due to this dietary culture, as Borgovians shy away from anything that's not black coffee, pure tea, or water. They also see beer as the poison of 'lower people' as Wine and Sake are often much healthier.

However, what made them not so attractive is the fact that, outside of the typical bourgeoisie-wannabe fashionistas of the urban city, many Borgovians never grew out of their tattooed & pierced Punk/Emo/Goth or Stoner phase. It's seen as 'degenerate' in many Asian societies despite healthy skin/bodies being worshiped more than the Catholic Church or Taoist Temple. However, Borgovians who don't 'look' Alternative, especially those of Asian descent, often find themselves modeling for Asian agencies and Black Borgovians who don't fit the 'degenerate' look often get hefty paychecks modeling for foreign agencies as well. It's a complicated public image, but there are some who do think the Punk/Alt energy Borgovia has due to its political history is attractive.
