Libertarian, I guess. While their decision to support a concord that limits democracy to status quo-compliant policies is worrying, I understand it because it seems like basically a "join-or-die" situation over there.

Libertarian, I guess. While their decision to support a concord that limits democracy to status quo-compliant policies is worrying, I understand it because it seems like basically a "join-or-die" situation over there.

They are not part of an alliance of ‘big giants tossing around helpless dwarfs’ or something of the sort. They are only part of it to stop extremists and keep some kind of democracy in power, which is not undemocratic to do that as long as the voters agree. In the U.S., only two flawed parties can hold power. Here, all parties have an equal chance, but democracy is safeguarded by the people. By join us or die, I think you not are saying that literally. It’s pretty hard to get yourself killed here except by doing something unusually stupid. Other parties have a chance. In fact, their chances are disproportionate to how popular they are. The Separatist Party is hated by almost all (losing a war and trying to destroy the government generally makes you unpopular) but has an a better run at office than, let’s just use the Socialist Party as an example. They are not particularly well liked, or disliked, but the sentiment towards them is not as negative as it to the Separatist Party. However, they do not as much power because they don’t basically use the radical opposition alliance as a puppet to further their party’s cause despite holding different beliefs than the members.
