"Mister President, a question of clarification on the first amendment proposed by the honorable senator. The amendment states that the president of the senate will not be a member of a political party. Does this mean that upon election to president of the senate, the senator must resign from their party? Isn't this a needless amendmen if so. There is the fact that by our standing rules, the majority leader comes from the party or bloc of The President of Senate. If a President of the senate were not a member of any party, would that not make it the appointment of a majority by our rules impossible?"

"Mister President, the Amendment to the Standing Rules eliminates the role of Majority Leader."

"Mister President, thank you for the clarification."
