He spread his hands. "I admit I liberally used the term cloture, which is normally used for ending debate. Instead of ending debate, I attempted to construe it so as to end the voting procedure, though I apologize for the confusion. Would the term 'guillotine' suffice, Mr. Speaker?"

"I don't think that would be the right word to use. Instead, perhaps say 'I move to end the vote on the bill(s) at hand'. Once you gain a sufficient number of seconds, I will grant your motion."
