For everyone's convenience, I have fixed the resolves that said "Galatia" to "Galatea" to fit the name has won. For the categories of Language and History, this will be an instant runoff vote. Question 2: History: IRV

Resolved: Galatea will have long been disputed between Greece and Italy. It will have been ruled by the Roman Empire at one point, being largely agricultural until the early 20th century. It will have switched back and forth between Greek and Italians hands until WW2, where it would be invaded by Fascist Italy. After the war it will have been given to Greece as part of war reparations, but ownership will have been argued about at the UN and EU. It will have often had a strong regional government due to obvious inconsistency in national government. Finally, it had enough being handed back and forth when it declared independence in 2018.

Resolved: Galatea will have become a British possession after WW2 but was granted independence under the London-Zurich agreements in 1960.

Roose brings up an interesting point. The Esperanto resolution is not mutually exclusive with the other two resolutions. It probably should’ve had its own aye/nay vote. It’s too late for that though, I suppose.
