Consider it withdrawn, sir.

If there are any omnibus motions, you can have presidential approval. If you can get a load of other people to second it, it's good enough for me.

I swear, my "Repeal of the FALLA" bill has vanished from the queue.

EDIT: I found the omnibus motion I believe, I must have skimmed over it.

I have something to say: The Firearms and Bladed Weapons Control Act seems to be such an extreme measure of gun control that I'm surprised people have not spoken about it until now. It prohibits our police from possessing handguns and rifles, in addition to normal citizens of course. What weapons are our police forces supposed to have? This is of course a completely different objection than the need for citizens to have the ability to protect themselves. Surely our police force, though, should have access to handguns and rifles?

Not the ordinary police, at least most of the time.

Senator, how are the police supposed to apprehend a suspect, who while he or she may not be armed, has a knife, a blade, some other deadly object. At times, gentle pleadings will not do the trick.

Tasers and rubber bullets are two things which immediately popped into my head (not literally of course :p).

OOC: Perhaps my American centric mindset is showing, but I've never even really considered a police force being unarmed. It seems somewhat ludicrous to me, and personally, I think it's better, but if unarmed police are common in other countries, especially Britain, I would consider the notion. However, I still think this act is terrible.

How do you think British, Norwegian, Irish, and Icelandic police do their jobs? Most of them don't carry firearms, but there are special units that do.
