Er zijn geen stereotypen over Belgen.Volgens de éné omdat Belgen niet bestaan. Volgens de andere omdat België niet bestaat. Volgens nog anderen omdat't niet lang meer zal bestaan.

What is the point of having a non English thread on an all English forum? Why shouldnt threads just be in Spanish or Latin? I dont like feeling like im being excluded from conversation or debate because people are hiding behind a different language. In the incredibly off chance something would be said about me, id have no knowledge or ability to respond. If you want to speak Dutch, go to a Dutch forum and debate away. Why does this thread deserve special consideration? Why does this topic get continually grave dug and why does this thread continue despite the fact that no other thread English or otherwise is a virtually permanent addition to the forums? I have no idea what the topic is, but it cant possibly be about any specific issue or the topic would have been exhausted in 2007. If its not about a specific issue, why is it here and why does it continue to fester? Im sick of looking at it. Posting on an English forum in another language is if nothing else simply rude to the rest of the audience.

I was really tempted to post this whole rant in Pig Latin to show how annoying it is yet still getting my point across, but im too lazy.
How will moderators have the ability to do their job if people start using these Forums in languages they dont speak or understand?
Is there a list of allowed languages? Do we have to quiz the Mods first to find out what languages they understand before we start breaking out the languages of the World? /rant

En om lekker vervelend te zijn geef ik antwoord op je vragen in het Nederlands: We doen het omdat het kan, net als de Duitsers, Fransen, Portugezen en nog een paar anderen deden alleen hielden die het niet zo lang vol als ons. Aangezien ik het grootste deel van je vragen hiermee al heb beantwoord brabbel ik wel verder over iets anders dat ermee te maken heeft. Zoals Belgen, die posten hier ook. Af en toe praten we over iets nuttigs maar meestal is het Blaat die dit topic omhoog haalt (wat kijken jullie opeens naar me? ) en hebben we het over koetjes en kalfjes. Soms over voetbal of bier, indien dat nodig is.

Ah, ik was er mij niet bewust van dat we gebruik maakten van een gunstmaatregel. De forumregels zeggen nochtans duidelijk dat er engels moet gesproken worden op straffe van stokslagen.

Grafdelven is iets posten in een draad die al enige weken of maanden ligt te rotten. Deze draad blijft constant levende vers.

Er is/was naar't schijnt een Nederlandse mod, of althans ene die Nederlands verstond. Maar eigenlijk hebben wij geen mod nodig, wij vlammen of kabouteren niet.

Momenteel onderhandelen we nog om een topic te starten in het Hindi, het Albanees, en de Bosjesmannentaal. Daarnaast zouden we graag een Koreaans filiaal openen, maar Kim Jung Il spartelt tegen.

Is the point to have honest and open discourse with me or are you just using my name and citing my quotes for your Dutch audience and i shouldnt be included on what is being said about my own words? Given the nature of this topic and the creation of a forum that is more suited to its nature, after some discussion among moderators, this topic is getting moved to Forum 7. I will note that the autoprune time on Forum 7 is 5 days. This thread will be subject to that, but since the new forums started I don't believe that would have been any sort of problem.

Now, since this is a long running thread in NS, it is worthy of some protections.

1) In the event that Forum 7 is ever shut down, it will be moved back to General.
2) In the event that the topic is forcibly derailed by posters trying to disrupt things with English, a post in Moderation would be appropriate, unlike other Forum 7 threads.

It's a possible gathering place for all Dutch-speaking people in Nationstates who, as all nationalities, are scattered trough a great number of regions.

Besides, this isn't an "English' forum. This is an Australian/British game. Do you adapt your spelling?

Do you mean all threads or some threads? For the formers: because there simply isn't a rule that states which langauge you should speak. For the latter: Germans, French, Spanish etc. All have tried to make their own and are still free to do so. The Dutch one is just the longest standing of the bunch.

NationStates is also populated with a wide rance of nationalities. It's a multi-national forum. If you want to only see English, then it isn't we who should go to another forum.

It hasn't special consideration, only a long standing history. So much that a non-Dutch speakers has started this thread because he wanted to be the first one on the new forum. He knew all too well that his name would keep living on, since the Dutch thread never died. People post too much in it. That's where other language-specific threads have fallen short.

Look at it this way: if Dutch people see this thread, their urge to post Dutch in a thread with a an OP in English is lowered.

If you find this thread such a nuissance, feel free to post about it in moderation or start a debate-topic on it in General.

The point in having a Dutchspeaking thread is the installation of a bridgehead, aiming to fully Dutchify the entire NS-forum. Because of this we talk in a secret code, which is only understood by insiders. If you feel excluded, it's because unconsciencly you want to be a part of it. And that is our goal, Dutchify everyone. By fostering their curiousity we stimulate their urge to know Dutch. But don't tell anyone, eh. You're most welcome by the way. But don't forget to wipe your feet.

There have been rumours there is/was a Dutch mod, or at least one who understands Dutch. But in fact, we don't actually need mods, we don't flame or troll.

At the moment we're still negotiating to start a topic in Hindi, in Albanian, and Bushmen-language. Besides that we'ld like to open a Korean subsidiary, but Kim Jung Il is against it.

Verdere discussie met Intestinal fluids lijkt me onnodig, deze heeft immers al diens zin gekregen. We zijn verbannen naar het NS spamforum.

Further discussion with Intestinal fluids seems unnecessary, he/she already achieved his/her goals. We've been banned to the NS spam forum.

Maar Ballo, die hebben we niet op NS. Gezien de nieuwe definitie van General horen we in F7 thuis.

Al was het oude F7 veel beter, maar dat terzijde.

Gohja, 'k vind't ook maar flauw, maar ja veel kunnen we er niet aan doen zeker. Moesten we nu zelf gevraagd hebben om de draad te verhuizen naar'n beter passende plaats, dan oké. Maar ons ongevraagd delocaliseren gewoon omdat éne pipo ons niet kan rieken of zien en gaat kriepen bij de mods. Vind't wel stuitend dat er geen kans tot inspraak of verdediging was van degene die de gevolgen van deze beslissing moeten ondergaan.. de topic was al gesloten toen'k hem ontdekte. De Nederlandse topic gaat al zovele jaren meer in General, en niemand die erover zaagt tot nu. De draad gaat al mee sinds het oorspronkelijke NS-forum, en toen zat-ie ook niet in Forum 7.

Ik vind é, dat we ter compensatie moeten vragen dat-ie ten minste ge-stickied wordt. Nah.
