The F7 Thread List

I decided to create this thread list for F7 after seeing many threads (five pages worth) got autorpuned, including some I like or made. Basically, this serve as a list for all threads that exist in F7. This will allow easier access to threads you want to visit and take part on, as well as keeping the title of autopruned threads so we can remember them for revival at later date when it get autopruned.

Also, a note. Anyone is free to suggest things like categorization and others. Also, they can help me in listing the threads, by sending me links of threads they found in the TG for me to copy and paste on the list later.

The thread list:

AN games
- Your Leader's Personal Opinion on the AN's Leader
- What does the AN's name make you think of
- Mispronounce AN's name
- Describe the AN
- Compliment the Above Nation
- Describe an alternate world where the AN dominates
- Culture Shock the Above Nation
- Constructively rate the flag above you
- Guess what nation above you's capital city would look like
- What do you think life is like in the AN?
- What does the AN's school's teach kids about the AN?
- One Thing YN's Leader Doesn't Like About the AN's Leader
- Will YN Leader be a Friend with AN's Leader

Now, I"m joining in by defining the term "Reverse Ninja". Reverse Ninjas forget to read the /skip things in posts, and reply to the ones they should be skipping. Yeah, I'm not good at explaining.

Basically people who don’t skip people who want to be skipped

What does the AN stand for?

Are games of Mafia/Werewolf allowed on Forum 7 or would those be better placed in a different part of the forums?

Depending on how it's set up it would fit on either F7 or P2tM. It should be fine here though, if you want it make it and see how it works out.

Starting in the summer at least I will actually come out with the game (assuming I have it ready by then). Interest will need to be gauged first though.

I couldn't be too sure, but /bump is like "bumping an old thread" (reviving a dead forum thread).

Also YL (your leader), AL (above leader), BL (below leader) and /bump is to add a forum topic to the top of the topic list.

/thread is used for "end of thread" because a comment has already been made that epitomizes the answer to the topic

Some people add /sarcasm to denote sarcasm or irony in their post.

TBH I usually see just /s instead of the full of /sarcasm.

In fact I've only ever seen /s for sarcasm. :p

I'm assuming you know what an evolution forum game is? If not, then it's a forum game people for teams to compete with others in creating lifeforms, usually on a turn-by-turn basis. Check out this (unfortunately now dead) subreddit for examples https://www.reddit.com/r/EvoGames/, and I'd suggest you search out ones outside the subreddit I listed too.

If you do know, or If you read my instructions and followed my advice (I guess), then can you tell me if Forum 7 is the right place for this kind of game? It is in its essence a forum game (albeit a very complex one that requires participants to stick with their teams and therefore their creations for a long time).

Edit: Here's an example of an evolution game, and the one I was thinking of copying.

The past occurrence in the AL response threads and community.
In the not so distant past when there was a boom in newcoming nations you would think that new nations popping up you would think that would be a good thing.
Sadly there is always trouble in paradise.
Older users grew tired of the lesser versed newer users and it was quick growing as a person would post and a older user would get frustrated for not knowing the rules.
This lead to older nations rising against the newer nations and users that were just new to the genre.
This self policing pushed many away. I wished to help new users. I will link my other post. And help you understand the genre.
[box]Things not to do. I actually went alittle overboard in another post and gave a detailed description of what not to do in and things you can do in game threads so I will prove a link to said thread, you dont have to read it all but hopefully it will help you if you are confused.

Link:Here

Things you can do
While one can get frustrated by you doing too much, you can also strike some nerves simply by doing too little.
I will do my best to help you understand how to get along with everyone.

Try to make a leader/expand your factbook.
The first thing you'll want to do if you post in a thread about leaders interactions with one another is probably make one yourself.
I've seen high quality leaders and I've seen low quality ones. But having a leader is drastically better than not having one if you post in these genres of threads.
Feel free to go into your factbook and expand on your nation its a great way to help users understand the story you want to tell.
Even to this day I still see people post and get skipped because they are without a leader.

Be friendly and understanding with other users.
This is a note for new and old users. But please make it an effort to be welcoming to others, we've all experienced that moment you meet someone you don't click with.

And understand that it could be the character the user is trying to portray, many times I've met people who are dicks IC but really good friends OC.
So please be understanding of the differences and try to not let a first time interaction be the last.

And please, to the more experienced users noticing some new folk. Help them out give them a hand, I've even tossed around ideas with other nations and had some interesting occasions play out.

Try to put some effort into your posts.
This is one rule I have made up myself but I see others outright skip users for these low quality posts.

But try to match the quality of the post before you. I can recall a time I took a break and I came back and sent a two paragraph long post only to be met with a two word post.
I get it, my nation is scary, its supposed to be grotesque violence, monsters, and horrors. But that doesn't mean I want my interactions to be a simple
*screams in horror* or "Be gone demon!" *preys to the gods*
This one is a bit personal, but try to at least get a paragraph in, it's really rough to have to waste effort just to only have a low quality post(I could go on for a good hour)

Y'all can someone explain why just posting 'bump' is considered an acceptable way of, well, bumping an F7 thread up?

Like these are just dumb forum games, if you want to bring a thread back up, just post in it and participate in the game. And if you were the last post, just delete your post and post it again, it's what I do.

I'm not even lying when I say I just ignore threads where the last post was someone just posting 'bump' tbh.

Not all bumps are used for the revival of a dead thread, some are simply busy people, and with F7 and even other sections of the site the place is huge, so some people (I'm even guilty of this.) Bump a thread to signify that they have taken note and will possibly be back when not super busy with work/school/ect.

Though I must say some do use it to revive a thread that is vacant, in a manner when a thread is going to be purged for being 'X' days of inactivity people will bump it an a manner of lifting the thread up just to slightly prolong the decay, extending and hopefully successfully reviving, though I kinda agree it is more simple to delete and repost but some user do it this way, others do it another you know.

People will also bump if it’s been over 24 hours and they haven’t gotten a response on an AN thread.

But just about 99.9% it doesn't allow you to delete

(sorry if this is gravedigging) :(
