Didn't Emperor Norton decree that no-one should ever call San Francisco "Frisco"? Anyway, yeah they have an interesting political agenda, and the location is certainly unique as well...

So the first thing I thought when I looked at their factbooks was: "geocities". When I actually checked around, I noticed that its some sort of galactic civilization that was founded by the, I think Babylons or something, I don't know, I have no knowledge of ancient civilizations. After looking around more, I noticed that they weren't even from Earth, they were from a far-off moon orbiting a gas giant. In my opinion, that idea is pretty unique. The writing style makes it kinda hard to figure out what is being said, but it is not too bad. The part where you explain the glossery kinda helps. I also kinda like the blue-yellow color-scheme, probably because it gives a certain feel, I don't know how to explain it.

I think the whole concept of your nation is well balanced. It's crazy enough that its interesting but not so abstract that it becomes difficult to image or unrelatable. Its also balanced on the "utopia-dystopia" scale. It doesn't attempt to be shockingly authoritarian like 1984 but it isn't a European MT social democracy or a hippie state. The nation itself seems like a decent place to live but has its umm.. throwing off people of tall buildings thing. Lastly your factbooks while some might say have "average" formatting, I actually find them very easy to read.

It's a fairly new nation, just over a decade old. It does seem to have above-average living conditions for its humans. It's not bad by any means, but also isn't exactly the best place to live in the world. For a country of its age, it has developed a fairly democratic and free society, and has also achieved appreciable social and economic stability and prosperity. So, a good nation on the path to becoming better.

At the political level it is not a notable nation, just a (quite fleshed out, but still not particularly unique) federal republic similar to the ones we see in Europe. however, at the cultural level, Scheenland reveals it's richness, and it's nice to see how the cultural trends are sustained by the history of the nation. Like how the Nazi regime caused the mass exodus of ethnic groups other than Germans, leaving a German cultural hegemony.

They've got some interesting features, such as having their cultural factbooks in the form of diary accounts. They have fleshed out their military history rather well through factbooks, and OOC, seem to be a rather chill person on NS.

Seems to be a not!Germany located in what I'm assuming to be Austria and Switzerland. To me it'll probably end up in the sea of generic western democracies and Germany-esque countries, and so I probably won't pay it much mind. That said, they do seem to have set up basic factbooks detailing culture and national history, as such I think they could use that as a basis to become less of a Germany-style country and more of their own flavour (which definitely does exist right now, but there just isn't much of it).

Overall though I don't think it is anything to write home about. But who knows, a little bit of worldbuilding to create an interesting international background can always go a long way in making the setting interesting even if the nation itself isn't of particular interest. Western democracies have the potential to be interesting if something is shaken up a little and the traditional summerposter neolib nation format is changed in some interesting and noteworthy way.

It could have been a generic stronk Poland under a different form of government. I've seen a Nazbol one before and I wasn't impressed. Before the rewrite, I more or less had the impression that it would be another Polish nation but built slightly differently. However, your recent rewrite has piqued my interest. With the recent inclusion of aliens and an alien invasion to spice things up. I also liked the twist in Poland's history to have the radical paramilitary wing couping the country in '89 and still having good ties with a rump USSR and even fight alongside them against the alien threat. One primary aspect that I like about this Poland is that Poland is at a disadvantage against the alien threat with their shit economy. Only being powerful because they're one of the few in-tact nations. Very realistic imo.

Disclaimer: I know the user behind this nation, so apologies if my thoughts are biased.

To be honest, Pers, you could've told the Commonwealth's lore via your classic omniscient 3rd-person narrator that even I use (and fail to make interesting, if I'm honest with you), and it'd still be a thousand times better than the average nation in this cursed website. But the fact that you decided to tell it via dialogues between the characters, such as you've done in your overview with Leonardo and Sayoko, just makes Frisco all that much more memorable in my opinion, even though it was already memorable as it is, just by virtue of not being "hee hee hoo hoo we are generic dictatorship número ochenta y dos/generic democracy ochocientos cuarenta y dos mil trescientos uno". The closest thing I've seen to that in this forum is in South Reinkalistan's chapter-based factbooks, where the reader doesn't get told the story via someone who knows everything, but rather, by multiple people (one per chapter) that know the information needed to tell you what you need to know about Reinkalistan's world.

Overall, keep it up, lad, yer doing well.

The Foehn Paramilitary Regions is a nation based upon a faction from the Red Alert 2 mod Mental Omega where Yuri does Yuri stuff. So like I said earlier, it is one faction that in the original mod were idealistic rebels or something, I don't know, and you didn't like it, so you turned them into a survivalist faction. I see that you've written what happens in 1984 (the funny year) and a little bit after that. The Mental Omega War begins because Yuri unironically thinks that the Borg are the good guys in Star Trek. I also noticed that the FPR now has a leader factbook. The leader is called Yunru [REDACTED], and I'm going to assume [REDACTED] is her real surname. So basically her entire shtick is that she's super paranoid, and it is actually pretty sad.

I'm seeing progress, and I'm excited for it.

Im so confused on what this nation actually is... but hey one of their factbooks promoted a democratic alliance so I assume they are pro-democracy which is always their good thing. And their anthem is shorter than Japan's anthem.

Quite honestly, all of my thoughts on Sherechia are all... negative.

From the fact that they're not trying to break (or even alter it, for god's sake) the mold set and left completely untouched by thousands of other people before them, to the fact that they're the kind of person to complain about "walls of text" when they see a paragraph that's more than 3 lines long and judge people's nations by their liveability standards instead of their, for example, lore's quality, even for people who would get more use out of a post criticizing their lore's possible lack of believability within their universe.

The only positive thing I guess I can say about them is that they have a FAQ factbook, which, really, I could use, if anything, to deal with summerposters who can't be arsed reading an entire paragraph.

umm what? Is this about my lore? or?

To be fair Kiu's factbooks aren't just over 3 lines long... and there isn't anything wrong with that either. I'm just saying that it would be nice if there was something to help guide you when reading. Just asking but how would you criticize Kiu's factbooks, what will you say?

Didn't I also comment on their lore?

il take this criticism but well I have questions as well on what you've just said.
