The Security Council,
Acknowledging the World Cup as the multiverse’s most prestigious football tournament and its longest-running sporting event, as previously recognized by this council,
Introducing [nation=long]Ariddia[/nation] as a nation of nineteen islands that has shaped the early history of international sporting competition and the World Cup like none other,
Recognizing Ariddia as the founding nation of the World Cup that organized and hosted its inaugural edition back in antiquity, thereby paving the way for over a hundred more editions filled with intense competition, fascinating stories and more than 1093 national football teams fighting for the title, many of which are still playing in the World Cup today,
Impressed by Ariddia’s hosting pedigree, being one of only five nations to singlehandedly host a World Cup,
Appreciating that Ariddia was the only nation to participate in each of the first ten World Cups, providing experience and stability to a then-fledgling tournament,
Remembering Ariddia’s induction into the World Cup Nation Hall of Fame following the 7th edition of the World Cup, making them one of the first to be recognized as one of the great football-playing nations,
Recalling the era between World Cups 31 and 39, later named Attacking and Ancient Arts by historians, as a time of Ariddian dominance over international football, and applauding Ariddia’s national football team, the Rouge-et-Noirs, for their three titles won in this era, including:
- World Cup 32 in Geisenfried and Milchama, where in the final team captain Hanifah Kyaw scored the winning goal against Jeruselem in her last match for Ariddia,
- World Cup 34 which Ariddia co-hosted with the Holy Empire, where the Rouge-et-Noirs won with 4-1 over Milchama in a final that was played simultaneously on their home soil and in the Holy Empire, and
- World Cup 36 in the Unified Capitalizt States and Cafundeu, where Ariddia came from behind to win 4-2 after extra time in an all-communist final versus Errinundera,
Astonished at the Rouge-et-Noirs reaching four finals in the span of five tournaments (World Cups 32-36), a feat only ever achieved by them and Bedistan throughout World Cup history,
Amazed by the Ulek, a traditional war chant and dance, performed by the Ariddian national football team prior to each of their matches with the intention of intimidating and instilling fear into their opponents,
Aware that, at various times during early history, Ariddians held the position of President of the World Cup Committee, which requires great community trust in order to successfully administrate signups and host bidding for major competitions,
Applauding Ariddians’ welcoming and earnest nature, thanks to which many nations continue to send representatives to international sporting competitions,
Noting that without Ariddia’s contributions, the multiverse’s sporting history would look very different, if it existed at all and believing that such contributions ought to be recognized by this council,
Hereby commends Ariddia.
