[NEEDS HELP] Condemn The Brotherhood of Malice

Dear WA

It is unfortunate that there are raiders in the WA that are willing to invade regions just for fun. The WA is made up of nations that are proud of their regions. Therefore, the WA was shocked about the sudden raid of EmbassyRegionia by the Brotherhood of Malice. If the WA doesn't condemn the Brotherhood of Malice for what they did, other raiders may attack other regions and could potentially destroy the basics of NationStates. Therefore, the WA should condemn the Brotherhood of Malice to ensure that raiders don't get away with attacks on innocent regions.

If I were to rewrite this, it would go something like this

The Security Council,

RECOGNIZING the existence of raiders who invade and destroy for fun,
NOTING that The Brotherhood of Malice(BoM) falls into these parameters,
SHOCKED about the invasion of EmbassyRegonia which was spearheaded by BoM,
BELIVING the only way to warn people of the dangers that BoM pose to the world is through an official condemnation,
Hereby Condemns The Brotherhood of Malice.

Firstly, please don't use what I just wrote.
Secondly, I would advise getting more things that they have done. Go take a look at The Brotherhood of Malice: The Embassy. They have a lot of their recent raids.
My last piece of advise would be to take a look at recently written Security Council proposals. Those are a good way to learn how to write proposals
The new thing was definitely a step up from the first one, though!

i would suggest looking through Some condemn Resolutions that have already passed, and get a idea how your gonna write it.

Also how will condemning BoM stop raiding? The Black Hawks have two Condemnations and it doesn’t look like that’s slowed them down any.

this is a very new nation. if i had to guess, it's not someone badgehunting, it's a person on the younger side who does want to make a stand for what they believe in WRT gameplay but is having trouble fully grasping the rules or formatting their own proposal

Yeah I started writing an super early draft to condemn them a while ago and so far it's sat collecting dust because I don't have enough reasons to condemn them. They had some major raids recently but not enough to make a good draft.

I have acknowledged the posts that have been inputted here. I am a new nation and I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon. However you guys are right that it will be hard to condemn them (especially since their allies have had 2 condemnations like someone rightly pointed out).

But since we are all from different regions and we are all here together, we should at least try to do something. I started the attempted condemnation because no regions should feel bullied by raiders. Instead of me writing this failing condemnation, I would like to ask you guys what we can do. I don't want to give up on this, because I ultimately believe that as one we can fight against the raiders. Let's keep this forum going, as a far away place where we can discuss ideas on how to combat raiders. What do you guys think?

I think you have no idea. Condemnations are usually awarded to nations or regions that have played the villain well over a long period of time.

It is not a deterrent, it is seen as a badge of honour. And if you want to discuss ideas on how to combat raiders then maybe take it to the Gameplay forum - this thread is for the discussion of your Security Council draft.

There is nothing to be done. As long as the endorsement system works as it does, region are capable of being raided. It isn't some bug in the game, it is an intended game feature......

They still have the right to not like it. They certainly wouldn't be the only one.

I would like to note that at the time raiding was first discovered it was NOT an intended game feature. It was an accident of the newly created UN/WA system.
But yeah, no support for this as all it does is fuels raiders' egos.

Given current diplomatic circumstances & WA blocs being as they are I honestly doubt even a very well researched & written condemn for BoM will pass the vote. If this condemn ever does pass it'll probably be a while from now & from a known author, I'd urge OP to get involved with offsite NS & WA servers and to try to find something more manageable.

looking through the malice thread on the GP forums is a pretty good resource to start with also! given the thing's been around since 2012, there's a lot of history in there, if you're willing to dig a little.
the old offsite forums *might* still be available in some form as well- though the ones listed in the thread's OP have gone defunct like so many other zetaboards-hosted forums

obviously, if you're looking for information on historical Malice, just asking some of the old guard that're still around would possibly be fruitful- Koth, Venico, Rax, possibly people like Catalyse/Jazksrkeal, Zaolat/Mekhet/Deathstroke, or generally just gameplay figures who were playing at the time

Though I'm definitely not a fan of this draft.
