This is a step in the right direction and our deceased forebears would be proud. I do, however, expect a follow-up resolution regarding the absolute speed of Hippopotamuses, since their sheer size is not their only noteworthy feature.

I do agree with the fact that hippopotamuses are really quite large. However, if a hippo is much smaller than its peers, would that make it a "pygmy"? The Declaration states that there is "no such thing as a 'pygmy' hippopotamus," but if it isn't quite large, what is it? Would it be a pygmy, or should it be classified as its own species? If so, what would it be called?
