The Security Council,

Seeking to recognise Ellenburg’s unprecedented contributions to the international community as a whole, which include prolonged service to several organisations which have strengthened international relations and harmony,

Noting Ellenburg's beginnings over 15 years ago as a key member and former World Assembly delegate of the region Autropolis, where their tenure as Head of Recruitment resulted in the region growing from 13 nations to 114 nations in a year (a remarkable feat at the time); Ellenburg continues to oversee the ancient region through the office of State Executive,

Further Noting that Ellenburg served as the World Assembly Delegate of Conch Kingdom, one of the largest regions in the world, until March 2021 via satellite state Free Azell; Ellenburg served the longest continuous tenure of any WA Delegate in Conch Kingdom’s history, during which they increased World Assembly membership and participation in the region through their recruitment efforts; Ellenburg’s contributions to the region were so great that they were awarded the region’s most prestigious honour, The Order of Merit,

Acknowledging a plethora of other positions tenured by Ellenburg within Conch Kingdom and the Augustin Alliance, such as:

  • a term as the Prime Minister of Conch Kingdom, the highest electable position in the region and head of the government; as Prime Minister of the region, Ellenburg helped the region recover after rogue WA Delegate Sakaba unjustly ejected many members of the region, and ratified the constitution of the region which is still enforced to this day,
  • two terms as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Conch Kingdom, a position in which Ellenburg organised a successful event with The South Pacific and strengthened ties with regions such as The Free Nations Region and South Pacific (unrelated to The South Pacific) through the construction of official embassies, which greatly increased the Foreign Affairs presence of the previously isolated region, and
  • a term as Media Officer of the Augustin Alliance, a position in which Ellenburg published monthly reports regarding the Alliance, and represented the Alliance as a whole in an official capacity,

Further Acknowledging Ellenburg’s important role in the United Regions Alliance (URA), a large alliance that contains almost thirty unique regions and hundreds of World Assembly nations, as its founder and principal administrator, and further recognises that the sustainment of such a large alliance is no easy feat,

Celebrating Ellenburg’s tenure as Head of Recruitment of the URA, where their hard work and efforts resulted in over forty regions being recruited into the alliance over a period of six months, which ensured that the URA became one of the largest alliances in the world; Ellenburg still continues to play a pivotal role in recruiting new regions to join the alliance,

Further Celebrating Ellenburg’s legislative contributions to the URA, which include extensive reforms to the World Assembly Affairs voting system to ensure fairness when issuing recommendations for voting on World Assembly proposals, in addition to creating new offices and streamlining others to better facilitate operations and increase efficiency,

Admiring Ellenburg’s critical role in coordinating URA events and activities, such as their organisation of the URA 1st Anniversary Festival, the URA Halloween Festival, and the URA Grand Showcase, successful events which helped to connect regions and nations both within and beyond the alliance,

Lauding Ellenburg for also improving international communication and relations through their crucial role in establishing concrete partnerships between the URA and other regions, such as a treaty with The North Pacific, one of the largest and most significant regions in the world, an indication of Ellenburg’s successful efforts to further the URA’s presence on the international stage,

Applauding Ellenburg for their efforts in assisting aspiring authors within the URA with the passage of their own proposals, such as Orca and Narwhal’s ‘Land Reclamation Regulation’ and Scalizagasti’s ‘Reducing Microplastics’, through their administration of the World Assembly Affairs Council and their creation of the Resolution Writing Committee, and

Concluding that Ellenburg's existence as a nation has without a doubt positively impacted an innumerable amount of regions and the nations within, and that they are worthy enough to be awarded with official World Assembly recognition,

Hereby Commends Ellenburg.

Thanks Scalizagasti for their help in bringing this resolution together.

Also, this will only be proposed after Commend Ariusgrad goes to vote.

Count me enthusiastically in favor. Azell is a creative, driven player who has made significant contributions to Conch Kingdom and the AA over the last couple years. The thirty-region WA voting bloc he has built is something few players have ever been able to pull off, much less sustain for any appreciable length of time.

As the former Secretary Chancellor for Autropolis, I voice myself in favor of such a commendation. He's driven for success, loyal, and devoted to his aspirations. He's got the stuff that makes leaders great.

Are the full stops Scal's fault? :P

Chicken overlords, not TNP, is "the largest region in the world."

I have a feeling from my quick scan of the draft that when I go through this with a fine tooth comb I’m going to find lots of stuff that’s not particularly Commendable.

Only tentative support at the moment.

As someone who has worked with Ellenburg/Azell for almost over a year now, he is definitely worthy of this commendation. His work in Autropolis, CK, the AA, and the URA is truly impressive, and growing the URA from a mishmash of small regions in 2019 to the organization it is now still impresses me. Although a more active URA means more work for me as the Overseer...

I think I'd support this, and I think our WA delegation would as well. While the LCN declined to join the URA, it definitely seems like a very strong and admirable organization that Ellenburg has put a lot of work into, among their other accomplishments. Ellenburg is definitely a hard worker and deserves recognition for it, imho.

Brainfart. I'll fix that soon.

I'm looking forward to your comments!

And thanks to August, Solariia, and Quebecshire for their support

Since, I have been part of Hive and the URA I have been knowing Ellenburg. He's a very friendly, clever guy and someone who I adore. This proposal, will have my support just like the Commend Ariusgrad one.

As the longest serving government member of the URA, I have worked with Ellenburg for over a year I can say that they are 100% deserving of this commendation.

Since Ellenburg is the founder wouldn't he be the longest serving government official?

Not experienced in these things, but as a WA lurker and someone whose interested in this nominee, some feedback:

Noting that Ellenburg began their political career almost 15 years ago with the first of several stints as the World Assembly Delegate of the region Autropolis, where they represented the region (which contained over 125 nations at the peak of Ellenburg’s stewardship) on the international stage; Ellenburg continues to oversee the ancient region through the office of State Executive,
Should probably explore more about what the nominee did here, and maybe more directly tie-in what they did as WAD and what they (as you implied) did to help the region grow further. IMO, it's too general here right now and could apply to a lot of WADs (at least the former half of the clause).

Further Noting that Ellenburg served as the World Assembly Delegate of Conch Kingdom, one of the largest regions in the world, until March 2021 via satellite state Free Azell; Ellenburg served the longest continuous tenure of any WA Delegate in Conch Kingdom’s history, and they duly represented the community on the international stage through ensuring that the region’s voice on World Assembly matters could be heard; Ellenburg’s contributions to the region were so great that they were awarded the region’s most prestigious honour, The Order of Merit,
The bit about representing the community on the international stage isn't particularly unique as that's what every WAD (or general leader) tries to do for their region. :p Maybe dive into any unique or at least example of hard-working thing they did in their duty as WAD. Also would elaborate more on their great contributions in Conch Kingdom (outside of the PM thing mentioned in the list below this clause).

Further Celebrating Ellenburg’s legislative contributions to the URA, which include extensive reforms to the World Assembly Affairs voting system to ensure fairness when issuing recommendations for voting on World Assembly proposals, in addition to creating new offices and streamlining others to better facilitate operations and increase efficiency,
It may be a nice idea to make a list from this to show off more legislative achievements if there are any- and ofc if character space allows it.

....

I think the main thing is that there's a lot of detailing of what a WAD does, when simply being a WAD isn't commendable- what actions did Ellenberg achieve during their WAD terms? There's also a lot of mention about how big regions are, which while sometimes should be mentioned, could probably be cut down to take up less space.

In other words, there are some bits that could be cut out or less focused on, and more bits that could be expanded upon.

within the URA with the passage of their own proposals, such as Orca and Narwhal’s ‘Land Reclamation Regulation’ and Scalizagasti’s ‘Reducing Microplastics’,

Barring anything drastic, that will pass rather easily. Did you always know Scal's microplastics proposal would pass?

I have heard of them. Also Ellenburg and Conch Kingdom had nothing to do with the URA. That particular organization was founded by Kitsco when they were delegate of St Abaddon, and I can assure you Conch Kingdom was never a member. The whole URA thing fell to pieces after (1) St. Abaddon was raided by The Black Riders and none of St Abaddon's allies would come to her defense. (2) Chester Pearson was deleted, as he was the Secretary-General of the organization.

You should try doing at least a tiny bit of research and finding out we are talking about a completely different URA here, so you don’t have to spout whatever it is you’re ranting about

Are they that unparalleled?

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the nominee is great and all, but maybe that is a little bit much.
