A lot of people who posted here must be fun at parties...

Self-commendations on regions or nations are always panned here. Attempts at doing so can even prevent commendations on them from being passed even when a commendation would otherwise be warranted.

A lot of people don't understand SC resolutions because they rely on context and frames of reference. If someone's just an issues player, if someone might be attentive to General Assembly issues but confused about the Security Council, or if someone just has no time to keep up on what all of this means, they rely on people who work in and study these things to give them the context and information they're missing to make an informed opinion.

We're just giving forewarning advice based on how we would make recommendations if this came up for vote. Self-commendations are just considered non-starters. Everyone thinks their regions are great, but commendations are about whether other people do too.
