Liberate Singapore

Postby Airport Manager Services » Sun Sep 20, 2020 6:07 pm

Singapore is an old region but sits behind a password. No region without a founder should sit behind a password. This will not allow future community members to migrate in easily.

So now the Security Council will vote to take this password down and let nations have the ability to move in and out at will, not have to answer to the current government who is treating Singapore like a trophy.

Let the voting begin to free Singapore.

This isn’t an attempt by a raider to occupy Singapore at all...

Also, meta gaming and stuff.

‘Sits behind a password. No region without a founder should sit behind a password.’

How is this possible not a violation of rule...4, I believe? The one about meta-gaming. Also, you’re known to be a raider, and this is an obvious attempt to find a new trophy in place of Syria.

I'm making a point. Syria Liberation proposal got passed when there has been no destruction of anything, no natives but still the proposal got passed based on bs. So what's the difference in Singapore being liberated?

The Singapore password was put in place by the native community of the region, for reasons Valentine Z expressed in the Liberate Syria thread. The differences between the situations in Singapore and Syria are vastly different, something I think you know well.

I’m not a regular to the Security Council by any means, but I believe that it’s fairly standard decorum to make a thread to discuss and improve your proposal before you post it to the SC, not afterwards.

Quite different, they put up a password so not to get raided and they have actual citizens.

Syria doesn't have natives like that except me. But you are heck bent on taking that password down even though you know there are no natives except me. Your legislation is illegal.

The way this is written does not actually have any legal effect. You are, in essence, campaigning for there to be a liberation vote. If a proposal made it to quorum this would happen either way.
A liberation should be from the perspective of the WA/SC as it liberates a target.

In any event, I understand that this is made in response to the vote on Syria, but if you would like to make a political statement, you may find it easier to target a region which does not have an active native community rather than one that does. Singapore to Syria is not a remotely reasonable comparison. No support from me.

Well, I submitted it the 1st time and it said it violated a particular rule, so I reworded to fix that particular violation and now I'm in violation in a different rule from a different mod. So I posted here to see comments on the bill not accusations and comments about my intentions and so fouth.

Just post it here and don't submit a bad draft prematurely.

If you do something and don’t explain your intentions, other people will be sure to tell you what your intentions are.

I mean, that doesn’t mean that they’re wrong about your intent, but it means that if you want to explain, lie, or otherwise communicate to people about why you want to liberate Singapore, doing it upfront is a good move.

I clicked on this and thought that I was still reading the thread about Syria.

OP, your OP doesn't look like there is a draft there nor does your draft look much like a typical proposal. Might I suggest taking a look at other threads for liberations to see how proponents have worked it? Liberate Syria would be a good one to look at. :P Also, check the rules again. There remains a number of violations by my eye.

That being said, given that there is a community aiming for a refound there is no support from me.

All your attempts to write an SC proposal so far have been illegal. If you can’t be bothered to read the rules why should anyone here bother to help you?

Well with two illegal efforts to liberate Singapore, plus this latest addition (https://www.nationstates.net/page=UN_vi ... 1600662262), I know what I believe they are. And it isn’t raider.

Valentine Z wrote:Well, this has certainly brought us back to attention, but since this thread is not about Singapore and more about Syria, I suppose that I will make it rather brief!

As one of the long-time natives and have been in region for years as different nations (Garden at 6th Mile Road, one of the current Regional Officers, is me), this put us in a rather unfortunate spot and unneeded attention. I don't know why we are mentioned in a passing just because we have a password inside of it. Yes, we are aware of the lack of activity and yes, most of us inside are inactive but still natives, and ultimately yes, we are actually planning on refounding with one of us becoming a founder. Singapore is NOT going to be in a perpetual password-protected state.

This passing mention from the current delegate of Syria has unfortunately made it more difficult for us since a mention has put us back into radar. To put it promptly, why should we be a subject to liberation when it's us natives in there, with (used to be secretive) plans to refound? This has certainly been a wrench into our machine.

Thank you for listening, and have a good day ahead. <3

Copy paste from the other thread. You have no approval from us, the proposal (even for a beginner to SC like me) is hastily written without any substance, and your base argument is flawed.

not have to answer to the current government who is treating Singapore like a trophy.

Also this is laughable, no offense. We have no intent of that.

With utmost politeness, please don't bother us. Thanks! </3
