One does wonder how noteworthy Altino's achievements are (as of now, I stress). You could change a lot of nouns in this proposal and find most founders of UCRs go to similar lengths to foster regional and inter-regional experiences, edit newspapers, coordinate armed forces, etc. Having interacted with Altino, I do think the player behind the nation has a lot to give to NS, but perhaps it's too soon? Maybe let their achievements build up some more and, in so doing, achieve further uniqueness?

Regardless of anyone's feelings about authorship or sponsorship, there should be no doubt that if anyone has ever deserved a Commendation in NationStates, Altino does.

You added the word insult, puppet. Not I. But, case in point of a “new nation” sort of diluting debate with inaccurate info. I think there is an old quote in this game “show me a new player and I will show you a puppet nation.”

My point was it IS hard to keep repeating yourself, over and over, year after year, to nations that believe they have nothing to learn. I was paying Altino a compliment in selecting the most difficult group to deal with to target with indoctrination of whatever “meritocracy” means to her. Still, dealing with bothersome nations hardly warrants a commend, or every mod on the game would have such.
