Side note for any future iteration of this Commend - Kuri has been an absolute driving force in the successful refounding of Iran

For the record, I've spoken to Kuriko about this and I have started a draft that will be to replace the target resolution - it should be completed soon, and posted either today or tomorrow.

EDIT: It has been posted.

This is to be submitted on the 29th unless substantial issues are brought up in the meantime.

I rather think we should wait until Kuriko has actually done more commendable things in the future, and repeal and replace it then. Either that, or repeal it now and replace it later (which seems to be the original intention). That way, the new commendation can be more different materially than the current one.

I'm not super attached to my replacement, but I don't think it really has a super high chance of repeal without some sort of replacement in the works. I may not even submit my replacement instantly after passage (assuming this passes anyways), but I want to be able to do so if need be.

Essentially, I'm just winging it.

This is perhaps not the most significant point in the repeal, and please take this by way of constructive criticism, but for a repeal that argues the original is insufficiently weighty, this is extremely flimsy.

Repealing a commendation while saying you will give it back again later is so rediculous. It's a waste of the Security Concil's time considering how more interesting cases could have been handled with this time. We are letting countries murder their civilians and wage wars of aggression while we are arguing how Kuriko's accomplishements slighly exagerated.

No, it’s not a waste of time repealing a flawed Commendation and replacing it with one more appropriate to the achievements of the nominee.

And please can you kindly explain how the SC is going to stop countries murdering their civilians etc.

If you believe there are more interesting cases which should be handled, you are more than welcome to type up a draft and post it in this forum.

I mean, if your belief is that the Security Council exists to award as many people as possible, your point holds merit. I don't hold that belief.

Also, you're looking for the General Assembly - a far different entity.

Repealing a flawed commendation and replacing it with one that better reflects Kuriko's accomplishments is a good thing.
