[Draft] Commend All Wild Things

Postby United Nations organisation » Fri Jul 10, 2020 12:04 pm

The World Assembly Security Council,

Acknowledging, that WA security council commends the hard works of nations which work for Region-wide harmony and unity,

Applauding, All wild Things's contribution in NationStates Media Sector by establishing the The NewsStand,

Recognizing, the fact that All wild Things connected many small regions with big regions creating a strategic bond between them via the region of The Embassy,

Further Respecting, the fact that All wild Things's reference library is one of the most referred dispatch in NS,

Astonished, my All wild Things's projects and achievements including:

1] 'The NewsStand', one of top 10 liked Dispatches in NS,
2] 'Wild Rumpus Book of Records', one of the longest book and 900+ viewed book in NS,
3] Wolfram and Hart, one of the Oldest, but still actively working corporate service company in NS,
4] Christmas, one of the oldest and still working region [established - 25th December 2005],
5] Sands, one of the best hotels in NS,

Thanking, All wild Things for his service which started by sending news updates to 10 regions to 700 regions and later he's work to unify NS,

Saddened, that All wild Things is slowing and gradually retiring from NS,

Saluting, All wild Things's dedication to NS,

Requesting, a commendation before this legend decides to completely retire,

Hereby Commend All wild Things

If you're going to make a draft here, then you should withdraw your proposal that's submitted and focus on making this one better.

A few spelling and grammatical errors, so very poor writing with the added bonus of being illegal - R4(b).

This is why we encourage writers to draft on the forum before submitting.

Be warned that submitting prematurely will result in more aggressive responses than they would be had you drafted before submitting. It tends to appear as though you don't intend to do work if you submit early. It's best just to withdraw it, in my opinion.

Check your spelling and grammar and correct mistakes. Check the rules and see if you can find your illegality - you’ve got a Rule 4(b) violation in your text.

Come back when you’ve re-drafted (put the re-draft in the OP and spoiler the old one) and then we’ll have a look. Remember it’s your proposal, you need to put the work in to get it in as good a condition as possible.

This is illegal, because of the mention of NationStates/NS, it’s metagaming.

NationStates is a perfectly legal term in the SC and there's no such thing as meta-gaming here. Try reading the rules before pontificating.

It says you can’t, actually, in rule 4(c)
(c) You cannot refer to the game, or events or actions in it, as part of a game.

since you are oh so fond of the rules, you should know this ken.

You should have read a bit further on into the Legal/illegal terms section:

This allows language used to describe the unique aspects NationStates world to be used within proposals - not just the gameplay aspects, but also one from roleplay and other communities.

NationStates or NationStates community - legal

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing....

By the way did you manage to pick up the glaring illegality in the draft?

It's not really that nice to say that someone isn't trying, but also isn't really justifiable to go to the mods.

welp.
that really contradicts itself.

They are quite obviously not trying - they expect others to write it for them. And if you don't like what I say then put me on "Foe" and you won't have to read it.

No, it does not contradict itself if you're referring to the rulings in the Compendium.

I did put you on foe but then I took you off because it was too complicated to click read this post before quoting.

If nobody deserves rudeness, why did you post this particular bit? Seems to me that you were under the impression that BBD was wrong and were eager to show-off your knowledge and make him look bad (albeit, unsurprisingly, BBD is correct about the rules).

As to this particular proposal, many of the clauses need to be elaborated on why they are worthy of commendation (why is having a top 10 dispatch good?).

Well, this thread is turning into a crap shoot.

I picked up on it right away, glaringly obvious R4(b) violation in the "Thankful" clause that starts with an h and ends in an s.

To the person arguing with BBD, you really should listen to him when it comes to SC rules. He's one of, if not the most, knowledgeable player(s) on the SC rule set.

I daresay there may be a more subtle illegality as well. Do nations "retire"? I know players "retire" but....

Very true. It’s quite like an illegality in a previous version of the proposal currently at vote where they talked about defenders being asleep. People sleep, nations don’t.

Personally I would be surprised if the author continues with this.

Maybe try some actual research? To me, the quality of this here proposal is even worse than your attempt to liberate Lasagna, which was laughable at best. Perhaps you should stop trying so hard to badge hunt?
