[NEVER MIND] Commend Aumeltopia

Postby Merevane » Mon May 25, 2020 3:06 pm

THE SECURITY COUNCIL:

NOTING that Aumeltopia was founded in April 2017, and has been an active part of TSP and World politics;

ACKNOWLEDGING their extensive reign as Delegate of The South Pacific;

HIGHLY IMPRESSED with their kindness towards all nations, particularly newly formed nations;

REMEMBERING the following achievements that Aumeltopia has taken part in:

- The creation of the SWAN Initiative, and the graphic design required for it

- The creation of the incredible awards given in conjunction to the SWAN Initiative, in order for nations within TSP to band together

- Their appointment of a highly competent government cabinet

- Their consistent commitment to endorsing everyone in the region

LOVING their creation of SPIT® (South Pacific Iced Tea) - which has become the backbone of TSP economy and a drink that none of us can live without;

LOOKING FORWARD TO their future achievements and the rise of SPIT® throughout the world;

CONCLUDING that a nation which has contributed so greatly to the political and economic (and drinks industry) world deserves recognition by the Security Council for its actions;

HEREBY COMMENDS Aumeltopia

A commendation, typically, is put on a nation/region that has done significant work to NS as a whole.

Being kind doesn't really deserve a commendation as there are a lot of kind nations that do it anyway, which shouldn't be commended if it's already being done on a regular basis.

The cabinet was elected to represent their positions, the Delegate of TSP doesn't appoint them directly but only after they've elected by the legislators of TSP. Therefore, the competency of the cabinet is not something that Aumeltopia has influenced directly.

The part of commitment to endorsing is definitely not to be commended for as there is a multitude of nations that do it on a regular basis.

Aumeltopia didn't create SPIT, it's been here since long before Aumel joined NS.

I've worked with Aumeltopia on projects, he hasn't done nearly as much stuff on NS as others have done.

You're new and your intentions were good - and hey, you've got most of the structure down. I'm sure The South Pacific has a place where people talk about WA stuff, why don't you go there and get some advice?

Don’t be embarrassed, you’ve given writing a Commendation a go. You drafted on the forum and got feedback on your proposal. In light of that feedback you’ve realised there are some shortcomings in it and decided to take it no further. That’s absolutely fine.

Writing a C&C is a learning process and very few nations get it right first time. If you really want to become an SC author have a look at passed C&Cs, read and understand the rules and take part in the various discussions on this forum. All of these will help you write a good proposal.

Aumeltopia was formerly known as Somyrion and Mount Seymour and I would also encourage you to look into their achievements if you do choose to write Draft 2 in the distant future.
