World Assembly Secretary-General Headquarters

When a nation attains such international renown, it must work to maintain that renown and even grow it. In the 5th year of the reign of Empress Aelia Murena, of the Empire of Lenlyvit, the Empire attained the title of World Assembly Secretary-General. Although not as old as some nations, or the previous World Assembly Secretary-General nation, the Empire had striven for renown for generations by having its scholars write World Assembly resolutions.

Soon after the ascendancy of Empress Aelia Murena to the title of World Assembly Secretary-General she had a decision to make, and that was where to house all official Lenlyvitian World Assembly matters. It could not be in a building that is small, nor could it be in a building that doesn't inspire awe or doesn't have a commanding presence. The Empress had known which building she would choose, for there was really no other choice that would work.

To house all World Assembly matters within the Empire of Lenlyvit, also known as The Lenlyvitian Empire or Kuriko, the Empress chose the Castle fastness of Murrok. Built in the first five decades of the Empire's existence, Castle Murrok was situated on the northern coast of Lenlyvit at the base of the Drunigen Mountains. It held a commanding presence of the surrounding countryside, and provided a small port due to being on the ocean.

To the north of the medieval empire, beyond the Drunigen Mountains, lay a vast desert which would take weeks to cross. This vast desert is the perfect place for representatives of technologically advanced nations to arrive, for technology above that of medieval level is completely prohibited in the Empire of Lenlyvit.

OOC:

This thread is intended to be completely in-character. It is intended as a Role-Play thread where WA ambassadors can visit the Secretary-General, with permission sought from moderation on where to post it. So without further ado, welcome!

Gregory Perise, renowned Morovian satirist banished to the halls of the Security Council for the attempted impersonation of his cousin, Darin Perise, arrives at the front gate of Castle Murrok. Gazing up at the hulking building, Gregory takes in a deep breath and enters the building...

... Only to promptly exit the gates, hardly travelling into the depths of the building.

"Gregory - breathe. Breathe, Gregory. It's just the Secretary-General! What's she going to do --" As the ambassadorial heathen speaks, he turns violently -- "She'll turn you in to the authorities, fool! You're not supposed to leave the wretched building! They'll execute you if they find out!" Even still, in a self-indulgent monologue to himself, he turns again. "She'll be kind! She does not know of your affliction! Just enter the building and ask for assistance - negotiate your escape!"

The deranged conversation ceased, though the internal discussion seems to race on, with Gregory's bright green eyes flickering between left and right, as if watching a tennis match - only, the tennis match was two drunkards debating who gets the last mug of Morovian Rum. Seemingly exhausted at this battle of the scruples, he sits down on the ground, and curls up in the fetal position.

And there in the fetal position he remained, for approximately three minutes, before standing up, straightening out his ragged suit, and running his fingers through what was left of his once luscious locks. Into the manor he walks, this time resolute with his entrance...

OOC: It's just one thread, y'all. Not everyone's going to participate and that's fine - the SC has a lot of GPers in it, but it also has some RPers. No point in making it an exclusive club for GPers only. Personally, I think it's a nice spin on the Sec-Gen election as a whole.

The obscure Wallenburgian civil servant Mr. Anthony Generico approaches the entrance to Castle Murrok. He carries a package full of letters and legal documents for the government of Lenlyvit. Why it couldn't have been mailed was beyond his understanding. The gates open, allowing him to enter. Generico notices a figure up ahead, passing through the courtyard. "Hey!" he shouts, picking up his pace. "You work here? I'm from the Wallenburgian Diplomatic Mission to Kuriko. These documents need to get into the hands of the imperial sovereign or any of her relevant counsel. I feel like it may be very important. They were taking everything off the walls back at the mission office. Maybe there's been a mixup in where our diplomats have been assigned?"

Ambassador Desket was not one accustomed to tact, and he voiced his opinions rather loudly. Indeed, there was nothing remotely quiet about the man; from his facial expressions, dress sense, and body language, every part of him seemed to scream with flamboyance. With this in mind, he shouted loud in his typically over-the-top, shrill, tone: "Ugh, the Security Council. What a rancid nest of depravity!" His companion and superior, Lakersk Turnov, sighed.

"Vandov", chastised the Commissar, purposefully applying his subordinate's first name, "you're about to enter the presence of the World Assembly Secretary-General. Attempt to show some damned respect, for once."

"I'm not sure what you mean." Came the brief yet smug reply.

Turnov let out a long, weary sigh. "The very existence of your diplomatic career is a mystery. The reasoning behind your appointment still eludes me to this day."

"With due respect, it was you who appointed me, Comrade Turnov."

"Yes, yes I did; and the reasoning eludes me still. You are the face of the People's Federation abroad, Comrade Desket. Show some revolutionary vigour in your duties, and cease this petty disparagement of foreign lands for the sake of vitriol and hubris."

"Again, I must question you as to why these neocolonial imperialists warrant respect."

Turnov turned on him, angry. "Because I say so. Comrade Turaniski says so. The entire Turaniskidak Politburo says so. I have to put my job on the line every time I drag you on a diplomatic mission, so I would most appreciate it if you could stop shamelessly embarrassing South Reinkalistan on the international stage." He was eerily calm at most times, which made this outburst especially surprising to the Ambassador.

But before the arrogant young aide could perpetuate these hostilities, Turnov tackled him to the floor, noticing something up ahead. Desket let out a surprised grunt, but the Commissar shushed him. "There's a Morovian by the castle gates. Do. Not. Move. They are a strange bunch at the best of times, and I have no need to involve myself with such a scruffy dignatory." He whispered.

How such a stereotype had lodged itself within Lakersk's head is best left to the imagination, but Desket appeared to agree, as he quietened down from then on. Finally, the wild antics of the Morovian were over, and he left their field of view. Waiting to see if the coast was clear, Lakersk raised himself off the ground, dusted his suit, and proceeded to head into the castle. Desket, still a little bemused, leapt up and followed.

Dee drops out face first out of her portal onto the ground.

Moaning, she picks herself up the ground before spotting the logo.

"Oh grop, my eyes," she screams, before high-tailing it to the nearest point where the logo wouldn't be visible.

Purpose renewed, she sets out to find more supplies for vandalism.

So this will be barely used beyond discussing RP proposals? I like the idea in general but trying to make it just RP is going to drive a lot of people off.

OOC: From how it looks, this is meant to be a setting for RP much like the Bar in GA, but specifically meant to be based around matters involving the secretary general. It will not be a place of discussion OOCly.

"They don't know I took this, so please don't tell them. I don't think I'm allowed to casually use this..... I believe our Courts call this an "abuse of power" or some malarkey" shrugs and brushes off shirt

Thinking to myself "I could use a drink, I wonder where I can find the closest bar... or wine cellar... or distillery?"

Begins wandering off and exploring

Being a frequent visitor of the Stranger's Bar yourself, I'm not sure why you are so opposed to an equivalent RP setting in the SC.

We already have the The New 3WB. Unsure as to why we need this as well. But whatever I guess. The mods gave it the okay, so here we are.

Dear Secretary-General,

What is your response to the accusations of 'vote-rigging' and 'corruption' by the 'WA Elite' you allegedly participate in? Is there a membership application?
