When a nation attains such international renown, it must work to maintain that renown and even grow it. In the 5th year of the reign of Empress Aelia Murena, of the Empire of Lenlyvit, the Empire attained the title of World Assembly Secretary-General. Although not as old as some nations, or the previous World Assembly Secretary-General nation, the Empire had striven for renown for generations by having its scholars write World Assembly resolutions.
Soon after the ascendancy of Empress Aelia Murena to the title of World Assembly Secretary-General she had a decision to make, and that was where to house all official Lenlyvitian World Assembly matters. It could not be in a building that is small, nor could it be in a building that doesn't inspire awe or doesn't have a commanding presence. The Empress had known which building she would choose, for there was really no other choice that would work.
To house all World Assembly matters within the Empire of Lenlyvit, also known as The Lenlyvitian Empire or Kuriko, the Empress chose the Castle fastness of Murrok. Built in the first five decades of the Empire's existence, Castle Murrok was situated on the northern coast of Lenlyvit at the base of the Drunigen Mountains. It held a commanding presence of the surrounding countryside, and provided a small port due to being on the ocean.
To the north of the medieval empire, beyond the Drunigen Mountains, lay a vast desert which would take weeks to cross. This vast desert is the perfect place for representatives of technologically advanced nations to arrive, for technology above that of medieval level is completely prohibited in the Empire of Lenlyvit.
